Claire wished she could leave quietly. She was so pissed off about everything that had happened and her emotions were still a wreck about how much of a letdown her family had been. Being a tourist yesterday had been a great distraction at the time but everything came flooding back this morning.
She had to sign a contract bartering for her life with her own relatives. That was so many different levels of messed up.
Leo walked them to the door as promised but, unluckily for her, she got caught by the last person she wanted to see her leave. Her father. The one who indirectly caused all of this.
"Where do you think you are going?" Tim demanded in a thunderous voice.
"Home," Claire said simply. "I accomplished what I set out to do here so I have no reason to stay and degrade myself any longer. I can't say it was nice meeting you but I can say that this experience was a real eye-opener. Bye."
