"And I don't think you're a bad person," she continued. "You did bad things but it was only because you didn't know any better at the time. You were a victim in this scenario too. The Agency did something bad to you so you turned around and did bad things to other people.

"You can't change that but you can change what you do going forward. You can't undo what has been done but you can do good things from here on out. Feeling guilty about what you did is an important step because it means you won't want to do anything like that again.
