Liam woke up by the gasping sound near her.

She weakly opened her eyes. Seeing the dark surroundings, her mind quickly processed where she was.

The canyon! The fall! The boy!

She sat up abruptly. The sudden movement made her gasp in pain. Her legs were hurting too much.

"Hukk..Hukk" A consecutive gasps made her turn towards the source.

The boy was hyperventilating.

Liam quickly checked on his temperature. He was burning.

"Hukk. Hukk." His little body kept shaking.

What did she need to do? Liam's back was cold. She doesn't want the child to die. She could not let the child die. Especially not because of her.

"Why you have to face all the impact, you stubborn child?" She said this with annoyance and hopelessness.

Though she was grateful to him, for her it was foolishness. Now she was indebted to him.
