"Wow." She pressed down with her handprint, and the top floor disappeared. Before her was a spacious hall that was decorated in the vintage style.
"Am I dreaming?" She looked around in the hall and thought that her eyes were playing tricks on her.
Does anyone really live here? It is stunning!
Moh Yanchen pushed open the French-style door which led to a big room.
"This is your room," he said in a deep voice.
Shen Chengjing followed him and looked over him, seeing luggage on the floor.
"How come my stuff is here?" She walked past him, opened the luggage, and found her belongings in them.
She didn't have many things, so it was easy to see all of them in one glance.
"I had them delivered here. From now on, you will live here and take care of my meals."
"Oh!" Shen Chengjing's attention was finally shifted. She followed him cheerfully and said, "It turns out that you want me to be your full-time maid, huh?"
Moh Yanchen sat on the sofa and gestured for her to sit down, too.
"Ask me if you have any questions." Sitting straight, he put his well-shaped hands on his knees. The posture was formal but looked great with him.
Shen Chengjing looked at him up and down. After a while, she leaned back and crossed her legs before asking, "Why me?"
"Because you caught my eye," he said clearly with a charming smile that suddenly appeared on his face, "But it seems like you accosted me first."
Feeling a little guilty, she looked up and met his sharp and deep eyes which gave people an oppressive feeling. She gasped and said, "I can't live here. I have my own place."
He pressed his lips together tightly and looked at her beautiful eyes as if he was waiting for something.
Ding! Her cellphone rang.
She answered it, then her expression changed drastically. "What? My house was sold? Impossible. No one can touch things under my name."
"Ms. Shen, the paperwork for selling the house was done last night. Before you reach 19 years old, the properties under your name belong to the Shen Family collectively," the lawyer said gravely.
He could only say sorry to her about this.
"Lawyer Li, didn't you say last night that all the properties under my name will be mine when I get married at 19?" She was alarmed. Her father worked his whole life to obtain those properties; how could they be sold?
"I'm sorry. Last night, you were not yet 19, and all the fixed assets could be sold. The inheritance that belongs to you after you reach 19 and get married is 30% of the Shen Corporation's shares," Lawyer Li said apologetically.
She hung up the phone and clenched her fists, astonished that Shen Zhicai had been so vicious.
"Are you in trouble?" His deep dark eyes showed a rare fluctuation of emotion, but it got covered immediately.
In fact, when he investigated her last night, he had found what was going on. But as an outsider, he had no right to interfere. But if they could truly get along and were meant for each other, he would fight for her no matter what.
"Yes." She didn't hide it from him. After all, things had hit the bottom, and it couldn't get any worse.
"I need to go and run an errand," she said to him apologetically and left without waiting for his response.
Moh Yanchen sat on the sofa and watched her leave, then he pondered about something.
She was very stubborn, so there was no way that she would admit defeat without a good fight.
"Brother Chen, the people in the Shen Family are stepping over the line." Wu Hao had somehow walked up and was standing behind him.
Moh Yanchen lit a cigar and took a sharp puff. "You seem to have lots of time on your hands lately."
"Brother Chen, I'll get back to my work." Hearing his words, Wu Hao immediately fled with the car key.
