章節 51: Xosun Kingdom's weapons
A killing seed was related to the origins of a chaotic world.
Vayve was getting more and more sure of it! It was growing fast, or at least that's Vayve believed, but that small occurence changed his thoughts slightly.
What if a killing intent seed just devoured an axe full of killing intent because Vayve's growth was actually slow?
It would be contrary to Vayve's feeling which were rather very satisfied with his own growth. The young man continued to ponder for a while, then tried touching a new memories that became a part of him.
But those memories surely weren't complete and mostly consisted of a thick battle intent that was spreading its might through an axe. That's why, Vayve stopped to look over it as it might notify his father.
And it was just not a good time to search for it.
But peeking a little was fine as it roughly told Vayve what happened at the borders... The constant deaths and magic formations... And weapons of Xosun Kingdom whose steels were way better than Waleria Kingdom's.
A steel was enough to outshine Waliera Kingdom's weapons, then their experience of Xosun Kingdom being rather combative kingdom in a close contact also played a huge role in constant battle near the borders.
"We are here, Vayve."
"Ah, sorry for dozing off!"
"Haha, it's fine. It was pretty long journey, right?"
A castle of the king was like a town itself. The royal family was well established as just being within their grounds caused Vayve to feel secure, but also astonished from the wealth and powerful people peeking at them from the shadows.
Of course, as Andra and Vayve passed through gates with an engraved royal embled, a magic formation enveloped them and so their identities became clear.
It was as if someone was searching through their bodies, so Vayve felt something akin to an unknown hands touching his face, then a chest. It was pretty disgusting, but it was all magic, so nothing to be worried about.
Furthermore, there were people hidden too.
Since Vayve could feel that, it meant that he was surely sharpening up his instincts, so it was a nice 'small event', but his recent thoughts about a killing seed pinged within Vayve's mind as if trying to stop his all excitement.
A carriages of Ranria Family's were non stopping though.
"Straight to a castle?"
"Yeah. Let the servants take the loots. Just don't speak about that money I have given you."
"Yes, I know."
A duo of father and son left the carriage quickly, then ventured deeper into a castle without no one stopping them. It was known that Andra came back from a frontlines and had yet to give a report, so it was truly a nice thing to be not bothered at all.
Vayve got way calmer than he should thanks to that.
Then, a huge doors appeared before them leading to King's Chamber. Powerful guards were stationed here, not even moving an inch... Vayve's instincts told him that those are submerged in a powerful magic formations with the best weapons possible!
Better to stay quiet.
Then, a huge doors opened slowly.
As if some boss was appearing!
But it was pretty old mage sitting in his royal clothes at the end of a chamber. His throne was very big, close to reaching a ceiling. On his side, there were a few servants standing with even more guards close.
He was meeting someone, but Andra was precisely here today due to that meeting.
"Welcome back, Andra... You have truly served us the best."
"I am honored. Please, let me introduce my son to Your Majesty."
Andra briefly introduced Vayve while ignoring Intes Household who had been trying to touch his wife and their own household during his absence! Such people were everywhere, no matter what kingdom.
So Mr. Father just had to accept that, but it doesn't mean he is not going to do anything.
"A mage! Your wife had given us a pleasant surprise during her academy days and now, a young man with your wits and her talent is attenting our academy! Splendid!"
Mr. King was rather happy.
His royal family, Magia, was attending an academy as well. They were quite special as one can guess. It can be said that they were without any limitations and challenges... All of these were only when they want!
So such tickets to the dungeon or monthly resources were all decided by them. They were mostly practicing their skills within the man-made dungeon, so Vayve is surely going to meet them once he enters that place.
"Yes, I believe in his great future."
"Andra, you are way too much into your son. At least act as if you know about us."
Intes Household's Family Head was here with his sons.
He was doing something similar to giving off a report, but a sudden intrusion of Andra and his son caused him to fall onto 2nd stage. He was looking from the side and listening up to the compliments from the king caused him to twist his face in something rather not too pleasureable.
It was an anger and jealousy appearing on his face.
"My own son is so talented. You can not really blame me, right?"
"I... can't..."
"Since our sons are here, how about we let them spar a little to show for His Majesty about our kingdom's great future?"
"Fight? Yeah! Let's fight! Fight me!"
The one who spoke was 'the real descendant' that Andra was speaking about during a trip here. He was similar looking when it came to a family head of Intes Household, but both of them had way too different personalities.
The young man was around sixteen or eighteen years old.
He was always smiling and reacting way too loudly to minor things! But it came to a battle, then his voice simply became a thunder. It was hard for him to control himself and contrary to a good strategist, this young man was simply too stupid.
It was someone who couldn't become a family head nor someone who can lead people.
Instead of trying to even order a command, he would just go and fight even more.
"Calm down."
"Father! Let me fight with him! This is for an old man! Haha!"
"..."
It was... shameful... And before meeting with a king, this young man had to be reminded at least one hundred times to stay quiet. In fact, he got told to be just like his brother which was expressionless.
Yet it was impossible and he smiled, but at least was quiet.
The reason for him to be here was to show his talent and a raw strength... After that, Intes Master would ask a king for one of the loots from the borders belonging to Xosun Kingdom. Their weapons were way stronger.
The worst thing is that those weapons are formed to nullify a magic.
So before such weapon can become a weapon of the knights of Waleria or at least usable here, a royal family had to spent a lot of money to break the origins without affecting a steel. Asking for such weapon is... not really wise withotu a huge backing.
"Juhas..."
Andra knew that Intes Head wasn't willing to go for that spar as it would affect his plans... What a noble family treasures the most is a blood. Juhas surely wants his blood to continue to flow through Intes Household.
"I know that your other son is not blood related to you."
"You..."
"I am not going for him solely because he is way useful at the western borders. Keep that land untouched from Xosun bastards. Let me assure you that no one touches him from our side if he keeps that."
"..."
"This is for the kingdom. But I won't let piece of shit like you be untouched after your doings. Send that idiot to fight against Vayve. If not..."
Juhas gritted his teeth. It was only audible for Andra as they were both close and whispering to each other... These were the matters between them, so the king put an blind eye for that... He just waited while hoping for a good show!
The situation was turning worse for Juhas! He found it hard to reproduce and his only son turned into that idiot... But if he doesn't believe in his own blood, then who will? His eyes turned bloodshot, then a clear order rang out to the stupid idiot.
"You can fight him."
"Yeah! Thanks, father!"
"If you win, I will buy.... you... a chocolate..."
"YEAHHHHH!"
