Hexel studied the whole content and was able to percieve his mother's instructions. When he explained it to Lehi and Evi the two instantly assisted Hexel. It was thanks to Ain and Cyprus who randomly picked and gathered the herbs.
Hexel precisely followed the instructions. They were able to produce a hundred box per day and by weekend they established a working and effective 900 hundred boxes. Hexel was glad to accomplish what his mother task her to do. Hexel went to the port to wait for Sienna in arriving.
When Sienna heared the news from Mem she instantly informed Mem that she will be visiting the duchess. Hexel did not also missed how Mem emphasized that Sienna is on the verge of erupting from her anger.
Hexel can now relate with the married man. A wife's anger is foreign to him.
When Hexel watched his wife approach him. He unconsciously swallowed a lump of saliva.
Hexel fidget and was breaking out from cold sweat. Sienna greeted him with a pinch on his side and whispered.
"Yeah right, I am glad to be informed later than expected. I am glad to hear the news from Mem."
Hexel just surrendered and replied.
"I am sorry."
Sienna released her pinch and sarcastically replied.
"I am glad to hear that."
Hexel forced a grin when the people around them started to wave and greet the two.
Sienna could not contain her dismay when Hexel did not even say anything factual aside from the word sorry. Sienna supressed her mouth because she might end up throwing useless and worthless words that will make Hexel
feel worst.
Hexel kept his eyes on the ground. Sienna directed the way and entered the wheel. Sienna observed where Hexel will be seating and transfer beside him. Sienna eyed him furiously as Hexel stared out from the window. Sienna spoke to have Hexel eye her.
"I am angry because you had no intention of letting me know about the duchess. If Mem did not even slipped his tongue then I won't be able to know about it."
Hexel pressed his lips together. He is speechless. His plan was to keep quite about it. Hexel does not wish to burden Sienna since she will truly and indeed worry about it. He cannot find the right word to answer her since the only honest response he can give is to apologize.
Duke Bowden was alerted by their butler that the horse saved by his wife is acting strange. He hassled toward the said barn where he kept the horse and was surprised to see that all of the horses turned horrific.
The Duke knew that if this horses will be set free it will be a riot. He heared from Tera that the infections are like virus that get transmitted and he haven't seen any progress on the investigation with the source of the problem.
Bowede summoned his communication device and alerted Cyrus about the situation. As soon as Bowden ended the link. The door behind him started to pound harshly. Bowden even felt like the door will fall on him.
He summoned his two edge sword and prayed as he thrust it on the ground and kneeled.
"Our Father who created us. We have seen your heart in every creation. We have seen your great purpose even for the little things. You entrusted to us the dominions over all the life you have bestowed on earth. Therefore we humbly ask that you guide us in handling and being a good steward to them. Amen."
As soon as he uttered his prayer. His word got multiplied and fences the barn. The whole store house got secured with two edge sword. The door broke down and the horses started running on all direction but was electrified.
Bowden shut his eyes in remorse. This horses are his friends. They were his companion in every battle he was in.
Cyrus assigned the team to carry half of the medicine produced as Lila opened the portal directly on the barn. When the Tale Bearers arrived it was too late for them to help the horses. The hundred lives of horses were slain. The Duke mourns in front of his deceased friend.
Lehi checked if one of the horses can still be aided and was glad that there were four of them.
The horses that got caught within the barn. Lehi injected one of the horses to see if it would work and was glad that their effort were not in vain. Ophir inquired the duke if they would burry the dead horses but the Duke requested it to be cremated.
Nevi aided Lehi and transporting the four horses that got cured and survived. Tge Duke himself set the barn in ablazed in flame. Hexel and Sienna noticed the thick smoke coming from the household.
"That's the barn." Hexel pointed as he hasten the wheel to speed up.
Hexel and Sienna arrived only to find the Tale Bearers taking the ceremony. Hexel heared from his father what exactly happened. When Sienna visited the duchess in her room. Tera brightly smiled.
"I am sorry for coming this late mother." Sienna greeted.
Tera just embraced her daughter in law. She can finally relaxed that someone who is decent enough to take good care of her is finally around.
Hexel examined the four horses. He can see that his mother's formula was effective but it does not lessen the casualties that they are. His father appeared to be sad at their current state.
When the duke entered the duchess' recovery room, Sienna exited the place.
"I heared about the horses dear. It's my fault for saving the infected one." Tera muttered.
Bowden only looked at his wife and disagreed.
"Nope. You did not do anything wrong."
Tera allowed her husband to confide on her. Tera knew how much her husband loved those horses. He would bath and feed them personally every day. Tera can't help but feel bad since her husband treated those horses as his friends.
