Schubert lay close clustered, ruddy on the plains, glittering in the clear air with its flat roofs and domes and square towers, strangely naked-seeming in the clear, clean air. The city was a vast, intricate, labyrinth of noisy, streets and alleys. They could hear the incessant honking of the vehicles even before the sun rose. Impatient businessmen who had to get to the office, mothers who had to leave their children at their schools, facing the puzzling challenge of navigating through the crowd of parents and children; even some of the teachers who had stopped at the local bakery to get a bagel or two before their morning classes. After every person had reached their respective destination, the traffic congestions cleared significantly as if humungous Ekans had eaten their fills and were retracting back into their dark and eerie caves. Walking down the street, they could smell the fresh batch of sweet and spicy rolls being baked for the lunch hour rush. To them,it was a clear sign of the city slowly waking up.
Dawn and Logan continued their adventure, heading south of the archipelago. Schubert City's one of the grandest cities, and if not, largest and most crowded place on Arid. It would span larger than Goldenrod City in the Johto Region by about an inch.
The two were having their meals when it occurred to them that two officers came to query about the photograph of a Team Rocket agent. Logan, who resisted against his integrity, went up and said he had not a clue, knowing Luna was innocent in these grounds as he was told her purpose here was for vacation. Dawn forced herself to be like Logan.
The police weren't certain with their answers. They had to ask the typical, "Are you sure?" to them. Confidently, they confirmed their answers and the police left. When they were no longer in sight, a stall on the opposite direction of the restaurant they were at was robbed by two men. Both had their faces hidden with a mask and donned all black.
They were causing havoc, messing the vendor's items until the attention of the masses were pulled towards them. Dawn and Logan made the decision to step in and stop them. The men pulled out their tongue, stole a few items, and ran to a nearby alley. They were followed by the trainers who pursued them.
"Gallade!" Logan sent out, that blocked the other end of the alley and barricading one of the men from escaping.
The other who persisted through climbing the emergency stairs of one of the apartments was pushed back down to the ground by Dawn's Togekiss.
Having no escape, the two men raised their hands.
"Who are you people?" asked Logan as he unfurled their masks, took out their jackets, and brought light to their identities.
"Team Rocket?" said Dawn softly.
"What's Team Rocket doing in here?" Logan asked in a mellow voice while slowly stepping back.
"That's right! Team Rocket is everywhere, and soon, this region is officially ours!"
"You can give us up to the police if you want. Look, we'll think ahead, our Zubat and Ratattata are no match for trainers like you. Our job here is done anyway!"
"What job?" Dawn asked and demanded an answer.
"To spy on an agent that we know, will of course, succeed in her mission!"
"Her? Who's this agent?"
"That's not for us to tell! We've given you enough info."
Logan called the police and the two grunts of Team Rocket were arrested. Surely, these grunts wouldn't answer to the police as well about the agent during their interrogation.
While they were being handcuffed, Dawn approached Logan and spoke to him. "You know they're referring to Luna right?"
"Maybe. She's not the only Team Rocket agent who's a female."
"But deep inside you agree with me, she might be lying."
Logan paused from walking away and looked back at Dawn.
"You're a trainer. You're goal is to stop people like her, not protect them. We must find Luna and stop her. And I know it's hard for you since it's obvious by your works and how you cover up for her that you have a certain attraction to Luna. You have to do the right thing, Logan."
"I'll try."
"No, you'll, I mean, we'll do it."
"I'm not going to fight her, we're still not sure if your assumption is true. We have to ask first. She said she's at Wagner City? Probably somewhere in its relative location as of now."
