章節 260: EPISODE 40: A Problem Here and There!*
"Everything is alright! Although having a crack on the corner left of your skull, it is only tiny. I must say, you still might experience a headache here and there but that will all be gone as time passes by." At her laboratory, I asked for assistance from her. The results of my X-ray is music to my heart and I am glad to know my body is doing alright.
After a long mission, what can be better than to eat some delicious delicacies, especially Dango! Dango are chewy, small, steamed dumplings made of rice flour. They are typically served skewered three or four to a stick and topped with a sweet sauce or bean paste. The dumplings are also added to other desserts like anmitsu and oshiruko. Like daifuku, dango are best eaten fresh.
Pair it up with my favorite Soba, I'll be in the seventh heaven. My favorite is Kake Soba. It is Soba noodles served in a bowl of hot, clear broth. The broth is made of the same components as the dipping sauce for the chilled soba, but in a lower concentration.
And of course, I must not forget my favorite orange drink in which every Team Rocket headquarters offers. Pair those three and I'll be riding the crest of the waves! Although, that didn't turn out as planned. Sitting alone, I see Zeal at her own table and I decided to eat with her. She was eating some donuts and as her partner, I did not want her to feel isolated from everyone.
At first, she is hesitant but the more I persuade her the more annoyed she becomes, therefore, agreeing to let me sit beside. Also, I asked her about Charizard and it turned out they have a grave problem.
"Sigh, I met Charizard when it was still a Charmander back in Pallet Town. That is where I was born and it is the very same place where my father treated me as a nincompoop. Just like every trainer out in the open world, I received my starter Pokemon.
We were doing so good such as winning against every Pokemon Battle, against every wild Pokemon out there. At Viridian Forest, Charmander evolved into a Charmeleon and things were quite the same. He obeyed- yes, Charmander is a masculine. Anyway, he obeyed every command I told it even during the time I became an agent of Team Rocket.
During one of my missions, it finally evolved into a Charizard but there, things started to change. He was not listening to me anymore and decided to slack and loaf around. There were times and me and him would enter an argument and no matter how much I scold him, he doesn't listen and instead remains as a brat and lazy Pokemon.
There were even times when I decided to consult Melchior about this but the only thing he advised to me was to keep on training until our bond is strong enough to let him trust me. I tried but still, he is lazy as he'll ever be so I don't use him so often. It just so happened that I accidentally sent him out a while ago."
"I see. Training huh? Well, that is one word that makes my head go boom!"
"You are a combat agent and yet you're lazy too?" she teases with a giggle.
"Sometimes. It depends on my mood. If I am happy then fine with me, if the sun is too hot then eh, I'd rather stay inside my room and sleep further."
"Wow, that's your system there in Kanto? Here in Hoenn, we are forced to train to the point it becomes our hobby. I don't mind actually since I love Pokemon Battling."
"No wonder why you're so clever. If I had never met you, I'm probably going to be using the vents all the time."
"Oh..." she stares at her food.
"Why did you flinch all of a sudden?"
"N-nothing. The last time I had a conversation this long was with my previous friend."
"So are we-"
"No. We are partners with different dynamics that somehow work together. Once this goal of ours is finished, then we will part-ways and you can return to Johto."
"Okay... I guess." my tone declines as I focus on my food instead.
From behind, a man alongside another comes and confronts us. Sigh, who can it be but the show-off? Copper and his infamous friend, Vizion.
"So, look who is here? Hehe!" Copper surprises us out of nowhere. Ooh, he makes my blood boil even to this day.
"So, what's the chicken doing here?" I tease but not in a very insulting manner. Though mad, I had learned to forgive me as time passed. If he dares to trigger me again then I'd end him for good with my 101 teasing tricks.
"What the? That was last time. I came here be-"
"He wants to have a tag battle with the two of you." Vizion finishes his friend's words.
"A tag battle? We're eating." Zeal sighs.
"After then. I never said now, I and Copper are willing to wait. It will be an Elite Operative battle with the use of two Pokemon each. Sorry if this was quite unexpected but we got defeated by a lass and that was quite embarrassing so we decided to train." Vizion further explains.
"A lass? Who?" I query out of curiosity.
"She calls herself May. Her Combusken wrecked us to pieces! Vizion was in total shock after being defeated by a trainer." Copper exaggerates.
"Oh wait. Is it not the professor who is the father of the lass?"
"You're right Zeal. I guess it is true what they say, women are more powerful and stronger than men."
"What the?!" The two of them pout.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Just admit it, you guys lost to a woman." Zeal further teases them.
"Well, we can prove how powerful we are! Accept our tag battle and we'll prove it." demands, both of them.
"So, Zeal? Should we help these desperate peasants and teach them how a battle is done?"
"Of course Luna. They've been embarrassed in front of a woman not to mention of them is quite famous around here. Hee hee, such a pity. Alright, Copper and Vizion! The challenge has been accepted. Two Pokemon each, let this battle commence!"
This will be one exciting match. A battle between men and women. Oh ho, I'm going to have a blast with this one. And that does not mean they're gentlemen we ladies will be easy on them. Two elite men vs two elite women, who will triumph?

NotUse I had enough of present tense! Starting on volume four I will be switching to past tense. Also, time to boost things up for their next mission since I also got bored from the classic infiltrate this and that.
