章節 8: Trial by FIRE

1st day, HELL.

HELL stands for whatever that means... Hi, I'm Mortem Doorman. Today, the four cute little devils started their training on a floating island up above the clouds.

*Huff* 4x

Four kids can't breath properly, but Red was still okay, as the oxygen above the clouds was more thinner than in the mountain. But before this, this is what happened.

"Okay, shrimps! First lesson, proper breathing! Let's go!" Silver said in a commanding voice.

Silver sat down, and so the kids also sat down.

"Proper breathing allows you to be able to last longer in battles! Meaning, you will be able to conserve more energy. Breathe properly and you will be able to last longer while also making your respective senses." Silver explained.

"Breathing... Techniques? Isn't that from Demon Slayer?" Yun said while trying to breath properly as the air is too thin.

"Yes, you're right. For now, I'll teach you different breathing styles of your choice." Silver said.

"Does that also meant that we need to use katana?" Hawk asked his father.

"No need. Now, choose!" Silver showed 4 marbles with different colors, "The red was Breath of the Vermilion Bird, fire attribute, and has high destructive power. The cyan was Breath of the Azure Dragon, lightning attribute, and has the highest speed. The black was Breath of the Black Tortoise, water attribute, and has the highest defensive capability. And the white was Breath of the White Tiger, wind attribute, and has the highest penetration ability. Now, choose."

"Hm... I'll choose... This!" Hawk picked up the black marble.

"Naturally, I would have chose power but I'll take this one, thank you!" Yun said as he picked the cyan marble.

Wyn picked up the white marble and said, "I'm not really good at fighting, but I will pick the highest penetration ability."

Red picked up the last one, "I guess, I should try having high power than rely too much on stealth and assassination techniques."

"Since you've chosen your breathing styles, I'll give you four the knowledge but still need to practice it." Silver said and did a finger snap.

Suddenly, the marbles they held became light and entered in their head learned how to do the breathing Style but their body didn't know how. They started to breathe while trying to see if they could use it. Seeing that the four of them fails, they tried to do their respective breathing style while standing. The upper body should be relaxed, while bracing the lower half.

After training for at least 5 hours, they stopped and looked around only to see that Silver had disappeared.

"Hey, where is your father?" Red asked Hawk while looking around.

"I don't know. He just likes to sneak and go full stealth. I can't even detect him with magic." Hawk said and sighed a little.

"What!? He can use magic?" Yun shouted after hearing him.

"..." Hawk didn't said anything and just nodded.

"Does that also mean that you can use other magic like your father?" Wyn asked.

"Not entirely. My father has high affinity with ice, while I have high affinity for water just like what those gods told us. I just learned to detect because he taught me." Hawk said.

"Anyway, your names are Red, Wyn, and Yun, right? Hm..." Hawk asked and started to think something.

"Yeah! What about it?" Yun asked.

"I think I know where this is going... *Sighs..." Red muttered.

"Red for R, Wyn for W, Black Hawk for B, and Yun for Y. Once together, we are Team RWBY. Alter." Wyn said, making Red and Hawk nod.

"Now that's a problem. We can't be Team RWBY Alter, we're not in Nasuverse!" Yun said while scratching the back of his head.

First, he was named after a general. Next, he didn't want to replace Team RWBY or even become an Alter Version.

"Then how about I'll give you four your respective nicknames as to create a new team. After training under me, you four will be enrolled in Beacon Academy." Silver appeared out of nowhere behind Yun.

"Yikes!" Yun jumped away from his position.

"You'll be Zilong," Silver pointed at Yun, "you'll be Blaze," after Red was, "this is my son, Hawk, Call him Ace." next was Hawk, "You'll be Leo," and lastly was Wyn and he did a finger snap and he said, "Together, you'll be Team BLAZ!"

"Since the four of you can't use your breathing styles for even 2 seconds, I need all of you to go through a trial. Trial by FIRE! I'll test your Focus, Instinct, Resilience, and Emotions. First, Focus! I'll test how fast you react at normal speed by throwing a ball at you at the speed you can react and increase both reaction speed and reflexes. Instinct! Instinct is needed in fights and sometimes you need to trust your feelings without slowing down or stopping. Resilience. I'll train your bodies to be able to recover faster in battle, increase the speed of your ability to adapt, and be able to last longer by increasing endurance and stamina. Last but not the least, Emotions! Sometimes, you need to become an emotionless, killing machine in order to achieve victory. But most of the time, you just needed your emotions in check as not to go into rage and be caught off guard. You don't need brute force, explosive speed, etc. But all you need are Skills, Precision, and Ability."

The four students are nodding. They all knew that what he said were true, however, they still need to learn more as they are still too weak to fight right now.

"Now, all of you, shall run for 1 kilometer while trying to breath properly in this floating Island above the clouds. This island was called, Aether."

And so they ran for a kilometer with their little cute tiny body of theirs. Since the air was so thin above the clouds, it was already hard to breath properly. Running while breathing, that's a different story to say. You might die because of lack of oxygen in your body.

But even if they are exhausted and almost Everytime they lose control of their breathing, they adapted faster and so they finished running.

"Alright, kids! Let's eat first before going to the next training!"

And they are happily without "ever after" as their story hadn't began. They are merely in their prolouges of life. This is Mortem Doorman, I'm happy to have you all here reading this story I narrated. I hope you all enjoyed!
