I said to myself, seeing as sky was getting all more and more small ships appearing all over the sky.
With every minute, there were more and more places where first defense system was not doing good.
From the ground, most physical weapons were unable to shoot through the shield, unlike energy weaponry that would use supercharged chaotic impulses that would have random frequencies so that no Borg shields would be able to adapt to all of them at once.
The only problem with it, is that those cannons were hard to create, making me concentrate them in groups. Why? Because.
~ Third person view ~
As Borg attacked, all the people that were preparing for this battle Gulped. It's one thing to know or think about insane number of enemies, but absolutely another to see them arrive. Seeing definitely made many people who declined hiding below the sea contemplate their stupidity and some even became angry that people didn't force them to hide.
On the land, few fighting scenes began, as it was impossible to read minds of everyone, some cultists and hopeless cowards tried sabotaging underwater safehouses and battle islands. Even though some of them were strong, but Photon cannons of the new generation could just evaporate them with heat of their blasts. Only a single place was damaged by the cultists, as they had some devil fruit users that wanted to survive. even by submitting themselves to enemy.
In a few minutes, before they managed to destroy one of the underwater facilities, response team of Haki and Devil fruit users arrived and killed the ones causing ruckus. Warping was a possible, but making a team and analyze the enemies took time.
But, nonetheless, they didn't make it in time for this facility to be completely safe, so this place would need a repair.
And a lot of probes would do just fine.

Well. I mean. Fuck.
Attacks of small ships was expected, but I didn't really comprehend what trillions of enemies mean. Like, seriously. It's a huge number, but seeing how thousands upon thousands of ships are appearing each second all over the sky, and they appear all faster and faster, breaking first defense layer just by pure numbers made me feel some of those numbers.
Borg themselves never really cared about singular units of their hive, but now they have trillions of assimilated beings that could be used to push with numbers.
And yes, low powered psi or energy weaponry don't work anymore. Their shields adapted to their singular frequencies.
Unlike overcharged energy cannons that were using chaotic mess instead of stable projectiles. Those chaotic bombs sometimes exploded before reaching the enemies, but when they reach them, they create a no enemy zone, destroying everything in the explosion.
Photon cannons, with their plasma like weapons, didn't affect big ships by much, but they were not absolutely ineffective like most of the simple and stable energy weaponry.
Most of the damage from Photon cannons was done when outer shell of the projectile gets disrupted by shields and the resulting explosion doesn't follow any stable frequency.
In the sky I saw so much explosions, crashing ships, molten metals that It was getting hard to see the sun.
All the sky islands were reinforced to become fortresses that were equipped with squadrons of One piece world inhabitants with some advanced suits that would allow them to fly, warp, and increase mobility for weaker people, while allowing stronger people to spend more energy on destroying and not caring about wasting energy on movement.
Or something like that. It's hard to explain in few words. As the result, many inhabitants of this world could fight in the air and resist flying ships, as they were small and agile, increasing their possibility to survive.
Many strong and pretty good people were equipped with warp emergency devices, allowing them to warp out, heal and return to battle.
There were many things I hoped for, and I am glad that the thing that I based my whole operation on happened. The 'super' being that was with Borg began to fight against the one that I felt behind the shield.
All my preparations were based on this assumption, and I was worried about it, so I prepared three extremely protected places where I would be brought in case of possible death or capture.
I won't bother you with too much details, but these places Also were made to save Luffy's life, as I don't need to lose all the things I made in this world just because he dies.
One of the places was extremely hard to make, It was so deep, and so hard to create, that for the last year and a little, most of my time was spent on creating it. Many things were being made slower than I thought of them, so I didn't really need to actively command every single thing to be made.
Oh, I again fell into my thoughts.
Currently, I was preparing to get into the fight myself, as It was important to destroy as much as I can, hoping for their numbers being less than I knew about, or for the beings outside to destroy most of them before they overwhelmed us all.
Sadly, I was not really eager to fight alone in the skies, where I could now see only the borg ships that outnumbered scouts and already almost destroyed the first line of defence.
Looking at the shield's condition, I had to activate one of the plans and disable shield for couple of moments, so to speak - let them in in waves. What I didn't think of, was that the moment before I disabled planetary shields, and fired all the cannons on the planet, big back side of the hand appeared, smashing through the outer shield and destroying the shield, as it didn't stop before it went back and disappeared from our sights.
What I saw out there, surprised me. Through the hole I could see glimpses of these two beings fighting, but it was not what attracted my attention the most. The thing that took all my attention was the huge hole and broken shield that now allowed Borg to warp tactical teams and Use planetary weapons from their cubes that somehow survived being close to the battle of two godly beings.
I didn't really have any time to think, as I felt danger and apparated out of my position. Seeing what appeared in my previous place I activated all my psi energy to the max, getting ready for the fight, as heavy tech and uncountable number of land forces began appearing everywhere.
And as they appeared, fights broke out everywhere.
~ Third person perspective ~
Looking at every place on the planet, above the sea, all the intelligent beings in the world were fighting against Borg.
Luffy currently was destroying squads of Borg that were sent to destroy one of the cannon stations positioned around his place of birth.
Tokoyashi village or something.
Edward was literally cracking their spaceships in pieces by hitting them and using his fruit.
Surprisingly, devil fruit users were destroying enemies without getting hurt. Their passive protection from energy was negating most of the blasts, while rest was negated either by haki, shield, or their costumes.
One of the most useful application of Luffy's abilities was him being stretched and launched through the ships and sometimes inflating himself while inside, breaking them from inside or just penetrating through couple of ships so that others could get inside easier.
some fruit users with peculiar abilities were surprisingly efficient against the land armies. for example swamp fruit user that just created unstable surfaces so that nobody could teleport on land and attack, leaving only air and sea for them.
And sea was not really an option, as it was not used by Borg, to my surprise. They must've thought that air forces are better. And they might be right.
As for the Ultra Carriers, they were fortresses by themselves, creating safe zones for people to relax and heal. Carriers had factories installed that were warping almost destroyed ships and repaired them if needed. They were observing and abusing war technology, practically making infinitely restoring interceptors act like the main defense.
Their main weapon was based on the anti matter principles, launching antimatter filled shots that would create enormous explosions when antimatter touches matter.
This was not really the safest weapon, but it was pretty impressive. Especially if you include secondary collider matter cannons that were comfortably coiled around carrier's inner section.
~ Some time later ~
All the Carriers were destroyed, most of the islands were removed from the face of the planet.
How?
Borg Cubes.
And a Sphere.
I don't want to be a pessimist, but I hoped that time travelling ability was false, and they didn't have it.
But no, who the fuck cares about my hopes.
The moment it tried activating the time tunnel, chains like the ones coming from the planet to me came and locked it in place, forcing it to stop before getting through the tunnel.
Feeling hope from this situation, I felt even more dread from the next actions of Borg.
All of their Cubes opened up and allowed spheres to come out, making my skull go numb.
I didn't really despair at the cube's arrival, but knowing that they all could go back in time and stop me before I could do anything - even before I became stronger by using sea, it made me scared.
I hated the possibility of past being erased.
And as all those thoughts flashed through my mind, All the Borg spheres began creating time tunnels.
