Since the night was colder than the previous ones with a hint of coming rain, Kyoya didn't invite Shouko out for a stroll after dinner like usual. Instead, they sat inside the lounge with a freshly brewed tea by Old Toshio. The old butler silently retreated from the lounge after brewing the tea.

"Ryota gave me this before leaving work," Leaning toward the coffee table, Kyoya reached out for a round cookie tin box. Once he uncapped the lid, he placed it down on the table, "He said these butter cookies are tasty. Try one."

Kyoya took a butter cookie sprinkled with fine sugar and brought it to Shouko's mouth. She obediently took a bite. Her eyes widened with a pleasant surprise.

"It's delicious! I could feel it melts in my mouth," Shouko grinned. She greedily finished the remaining cookie held by her husband.

Kyoya lifted up a smile on his lips. He lightly licked the crumbs left on his fingers before he took another cookie for himself.
