It was not until the sky had completely turned dark did Shouko wake up. She was still drowsy as she blankly opened her eyes. After blinking a few times, her gaze turned clear. She stared at the coffee table right in front of her eyes.

"You're awake?" A gentle and cool voice whispered softly above her head.

Shouko followed the sound of the voice by turning her head slightly. Kyoya's face was looming above her. Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Kyoya?"

Shouko was stunned. She had just realized that she was sleeping on his lap!

"Ah! I'm sorry!" She quickly sat up, her flustered look made Kyoya laughed.

"Have you sobered up?" Kyoya helped to rearrange her messy hair. His fingers combed her long hair, tucking the stray strands behind her ears.

"En, why didn't you wake me up?" Shouko looked at the clock. The thin hands pointed to 7:15 PM. It was so late already. "You should have been done by five."
