Chapter Thirty: Counterstrike

Xiang Kun had never undergone any formal combat training, so he naturally lacked a professional fighter's footwork and defensive maneuvers.

But his reaction speed, strength and agility were all top-notch. The latter two were superb, though not surpassing the limits of ordinary people by much. But the former, due to his extremely heightened sense of perception, far exceeded what would be expected of a normal person.

As soon as the training instructor made a move, Xiang Kun could discern the direction of the attack, calmly dodging. His footwork, his movements, they were all subconscious and appeared very natural.

While he may not have the fighting technique's footwork like sidestepping, stepping-in, or backstepping, he could easily dodge attacks.

However, after evading a few attacks, Xiang Kun suddenly stood still, protecting his head with his arms, and squeezing his ribs with his elbows, allowing the coach's fists to land on his body.
