"So, when are you both getting married?" He asked completely startling the both of them.

Lijuan who just took a spoonful of rice into her mouth choked on her food when she heard the Chairman's question.

Yun who was also startled by the question quickly hurried to her to pat her back and hand her a glass of water while glaring at his grandfather. 

"I'm sorry my dear." Chairman Wang said apologetically but he couldn't seem to stop himself from grinning. 

"But if you're both engaged it only goes to say you'll be getting married too. So why do you both look so startled?" He asked looking from one to the other. 

"I'm fine. Thanks." Lijuan managed to tell Yun in a choked voice. To her utmost mortification and embarassment Yun reached for the table napkin and wiped the food stain at the corner of her mouth. 

"I can do that myself." She said wanting to take the napkin from him but he shook his head instead.
