Debby wanted to run far away from Peter, but he was bent on speaking with her because he chased after her. 

Seeing how he was not giving up, she began to run. Like a stubborn animal, he ran after her. 

That was how the cat and mouse chase started between the two. Debby was tired and wanted to go home. She had been looking forward to the end of her test so she could return home and have a good long sleep, which she had been lacking for a long time. But Peter was not ready to let that happen to her. 

Fortunately for Debby, she was able to find a taxi as soon as she was farther away from the school premises. She flagged down the taxi with all her might and opened the door even before it came to a stop. She usually used the bus because it was cheaper, but this was an emergency, so she turned a blind eye to the amount she would be paying. All she wanted was to get away from him right now.
