Calder was dumbfounded, Lady Britille paled and Wystan was ready to cry. Right before their eyes Esai was swept away with a crowd. In his attempt to stay with the group he grabbed Syria's hand but she was caught off guard and pulled along with Esai. Calder tried to catch Syria but she slipped through his hands, leaving a simple beaded bracelet in his hand.

"Did we just lose," Wystan said as he pointed in the direction they last saw the two. "I think we did." Calder replied as Wystan swallowed back the last of his words. "W-will he be okay?" Lady Britille asked as she shook, trying her best to hold back her tears. "I, I don't know." Wystan replied as he dropped his raised hand.
