Sensing He Lixue completely relaxing in his arms, Lu Nanfeng bent down and carried her in a princess hold towards the bedroom. 

He had no naughty thoughts; all he wanted was for He Lixue to relax and get some well-deserved sleep. 

He Lixue was also very exhausted, and she leaned against his chest, greedily inhaling his scent. It was so reassuring to know that she had returned home. 

She could hear his sturdy heart, beating in his chest, which relaxed her even further, so when they reached the bedroom, He Lixue was already in a state between sleep and awake. 

Seeing her addled and drowsy like this, Lu Nanfeng could not help but place a gentle kiss on her forehead as he lowered her onto the bed.

He quickly wrapped her up in blankets and sat down by her side until he was sure that she had fallen into a deep slumber.

The softness and gentleness of his expression vanished after this, and his eyes turned dark, his expression solemn.
