章節 22: Jennifer’s anger and Aiden’s glare

When she looked around, she felt that she had never seen this room in Jayden's house. She felt that something was odd and not quite right. So she decided to go out and look around to make sure that everything's fine.

But before she could step out of that door, Aiden blocked her view and said,

"I think I told you to sit tight and not wander around. Where do you think you are going?"

Jennifer felt his way of speaking was too harsh and it was unlike him. But anyway, if anyone gets stabbed by their own wife on the back would definitely react even more violent than him.

She was thankful for at least he is not getting physical with her. She just thought to forgive him for now and asked,

"I need my books to prepare for the exams. So I thought to go to your room to pick it up"

"I will ask someone to bring it back to you later. So you do not need to go out anywhere. Just stay here and stop bringing me trouble!" Aiden shouted angrily.

Jennifer lost her patience, she knew she did something wrong and she should have not stabbed him. But it is not like she actually wanted to do it. If only he did not provoke her from the start, why does he always have to try to come near her and take advantage of her?

If not for this, he would have not got hurt… But still looking at him standing before her as if he was as fit as ever! She shook her head, did he even have to pretend to maintain his image when he is sick?

She thought to ignore him and go inside but at that time she heard someone scream.

"What is that sound? Did someone get hurt?" Jennifer pushed him and walked outside her room.

When she saw it was his father's driver who was being dragged into a room, she turned towards Aiden and looked at him with anger.

"What is going on here? Why do I see my father's driver here and why did he look like he got beaten up badly by someone? And what is this place? Why are we here?" Jennifer asked with shock clearly visible in her eyes.

"It is my underground palace. From now on we will live here. And that is your room. I do not want you to roam around this place as we had discussed before. Everything you want will be delivered to your room, so stay in your room so that I do not have to use force to make you do that!" Aiden said with a glare.

Jennifer just looked at him and said "NO!"

"What? What did you say?" Aiden barked at Jennifer.

"I said 'No', why? Can't you even hear that? Being deaf and dumb is not wrong but still, I highly doubt with such a brain how do you even manage yourself let alone how you manage your team. Last warning, let my father's driver, William go!" Jennifer roared in anger.

Aiden just glared at her without saying anything. He even had the audacity to ignore her and tried to signal his men to bring her away.

Jennifer immediately acted and took a flower vase which was kept on the side table. She would have almost smashed it on his head, but Aiden was sharp, he turned around and held her hand.

"I am not him, to let a weak girl like you, to stab at my back?..."Aiden hissed under his breath.

"What do you mean you are not him? You are him and I definitely stabbed you from behind" Jennifer said but when she reached the last part, her voice came out mostly like a whisper.

"Alright fine, Please do let William go. I will once again say sorry to you! I will do anything you ask of me but please do not harm him?" Jennifer begged Aiden.

Aiden just had a smirk on his mouth and just glared at her. He just left without saying anything. Jennifer returned to the room and locked the door behind her.

She sat on the bed while trying to come out of a plan to rescue William. She jumped down and tried to open the windows. It looked like it was jammed and just would not go up! Shit! Nothing is working out for me from the time I met Jayden or Aiden or whatever his actual name is!

Jennifer slowly opened the door and peeked out. She put her head out and tried to move out of the room without notice. Suddenly a hand pushed her head inside and she saw two pairs of legs walking inside the room.

Aiden came along with Sam while pushing her inside the room. Sam, who was carrying her books, left it on the coffee table and stood in one corner.

"Here, the books which you asked me to get for you! Now I want you to call your father and inform him that everything is fine over here. Ask him to enjoy his alone time with your mother." Aiden threw a phone on the bed.

"No" Jennifer answered with a single word.

Aiden took a deep breath and said, "Look I do not have time to put up with all your nasty behavior. So, instead of arguing with me, just do what I say"

"No" Jennifer just turned around and went ahead to sit on the sofa.

She took a book leisurely and pretended to read the book. Aiden looked at the book which was held upside down and then at Jennifer's face. If not for his promise to his brother Jayden to keep Jennifer safe before he went in for the surgery, he would have already thrown her in the dungeon.

He clenched his fists and was about to march forward to bring her to the dungeon. At that time, Sam went in front of him and stopped him.

He whispered in Aiden's ears, "Boss I would take care of this matter. Relax! Do not worry, I will make sure that she calls her family and informs them."

Aiden then left the room and slammed the door behind him. Jennifer then threw the book back on the table and just closed her eyes. She took deep breaths to control her anger.

How can one person change so much in a day? Is he even the one she knows? Just today morning he was joking around and playing with her but right now he had changed into a completely different person.

"I do not know why Boss got you here but if you do not mind, I would like to give you a suggestion" Sam stopped talking and looked at Jennifer's face.

Jennifer opened her eyes and stared at Sam but did not say anything. Sam just took her stare as a nod and continued to say, "I can promise you that I will make sure to keep William alive if you can make the phone call to your parents right now".

"Are you trying to blackmail me? ME?" Jennifer got up from the sofa and walked towards Sam.

Sam almost got frightened and started to move backward. Till now other than his Boss no one could make him feel so frightened for his life. So to smooth the things out, he said,

"Look! I mean no harm and I do not want to blackmail anyone. All I am saying is the fact and what may happen if you do not listen to our Boss"

After thinking for a few minutes, Jennifer replied, "Fine! I will call my parents and let them know we all are doing good! But just make sure that William is fine and if I found out that even a hair fell out of him, then I would make sure to burn this whole place out. Do you hear me fine?"

"Yes! But please do make sure to inform your parents as Boss wanted, then I will keep my end of the promise" Sam replied and left with a nod.

Anyways, Boss never wanted to harm William in the first place, so he didn't have to worry about his promise and the place being burnt down. But what his concern was that there was another person whom the Boss instructed them to bring to the dungeon.

Hopefully, he is not in any way related to this young lady as he could not promise what could happen to him. His boss had already started to implement his torturing methods on that guy.
