Luke was just standing near the entrance waiting for Jessica, suddenly he noticed, a beautiful girl staring at him. 'why is she staring at me like that, Hmmm her gaze is quite different from the gazes which I usually get from girls, it's look like she is trying to observe something about me.' Luke thought when he noticed her gaze.
Soon enough Jessica came and went towards Luke, "Let's go I have booked a V.I.P room." she said as Luke nooded and walked inside the entrance with Jessica, then she showed some kind of card to the guard and he let them in. Luke took another glance at the girl before going inside.
After he left and went inside the Auction hall, Alvina was lost in her thoughts while she was looking at the spot where, Luke stood before.
'Who was that guy, he was around my age but he was giving off such a powerful pressure which I only feel when I train with my Master. How can someone be this powerful at such a young age, and maybe he also came here for the Royal Academy tests, as it's rumoured that the first and second tests will be held here, in the city of Blair.
looks like I need to get those beads and improve my strength before the tests, if people like him are going to be in it, I'll have to be careful and how the hell was he so handsome, I have never seen such handsome face before, is he from some clan and only came out to take the test, forget I'll just ask him after the auction.' She started to have many thoughts, and was going to confront him later on to clear her thoughts. She was type of girl who is quite straightforward and little manipulative at the same time.
Meanwhile with Edward, he was currently boiling with rage, when he saw Alvina looking at a boy who was more handsome than him and what made him more angry was that, she had blush on her cheeks which ofcourse she didn't notice but Edward did, and that was the reason for his anger as she never showed interest towards any guy before, and forget about even blushing.
' I'll kill that bastard for sure, just wait you I'll bash your face so much that your mother won't be able to recognise you.' he thought as he whispered something to a man who was following behind them.
'This asshole, do he really think he can kill someone that gives off such an powerful aura unintentionally, really a fool who only thinks with his lower body.' Alvina thought when she heard what Edward whispered to the person who was his guard.
Then they reached in front of the entrance, the guard who was responsible for entries said, "200 gold for each entry." , then Alvina showed a card to her and when the guard saw the card he nodded and let her in, she didn't wait for Edward as she wanted to get away from him quickly and meet Luke to ask few questions.
Edward also showed a card and the gurad let him enter too, with rest of the people doing the same.
In front of the auction hall was a lotus platform, and on it was a female auctioneer with heavy makeup on. She was beautiful and looked fresh like the fairy. At the back of the hall were lines of seats, and everyone sat in the hall, there were VIP rooms or suites for rich people from noble houses, they cost 2000 gold. Alvina went towards one of the lady who was responsible for managing V.I.P customers and asked for a V.I.P room, before Edward could come and again start pestering her.
"Huh where did Alvina go, Shit she must have already left and went in a V.I.P room." he mumbled in frustration as he stomped his leg on the floor before getting a V.I.P room for himself and his lackies.
Meanwhile Luke was walking towards his V.I.P room, Few people who saw his appearance, only took a glance as they didn't care and most people just kept silent. Only a few of them who were close to one another were talking softly to each other.
Everyone in the auction hall had their looks and appearances fully exposed. Except a few who hid their faces or put on disguises.
As few moments passed, there were many individuals and groups after groups of people entered, the hall. As the 200 gold entry requirement had made many people who didn't have money prohibited to enter, so there were only 500 odd people, mostly belonging to rich noble houses or powerful individual mages and warriors. With few coming from nearby cities.
Ten minutes later, the auction officially began. The auctioneer said, "Everyone please calm down. Before the auction begins, I'll explain to you the rules of this auction. There will be 10 items, each and every one of them are items of high rarity And the Auction for the Earth grade beads will be held after all nine Auctions has been completed. Before an item is auctioned off, the next item will not be released. Every item will have a starting bid, and the next bid will be no less than 10 gold. The white sign with numbers which you have is to raise the price. Everyone please remember this."
Jessica have already told Luke about these things after he entered his V.I.P room, which was quite luxurious. It was like an 6 star hotel in earth.
After the rules were explained, everyone started discussing. The auctioneer didn't care about the discussions and announced, "Now for the first item." as she said that two servants came with an sword which was giving of little heat.
Then she announced, "This here is a 9th tier ki sword, which is made by rare materials and a level nine Fiery Lion king beast Core, I guess you all already know how powerful is the fire of the fiery lion king. It's the best sword any warrior of fire element ki of stage 4 or early stage 5 can have if they haven't manifested their soul weapon yet .
The starting bid is 1000 gold coins. Every bid should be no less than 10 gold coins."
"1100 gold!" Someone bid.
"1200 gold!"
....
"1700 gold!"
....
"2200 gold!"
....
"3000 gold!"
....
....
....
.....
"10,000 gold!"
After 3000 gold everyone became more careful and started to weigh their choices. In the end, the sword was sold for 10,000 gold.
The auctioneer revealed the second item, only to see servants bringing a scroll and then she said, "The second item is <Teleportation forming manual>. It have instructions about how to form a Teleportation scroll and can teleport an individual in radius of 2000 kilometer. The base price is 5000 gold, please bid."
These type of Teleportation Forming manuals were quite a rare treasure which even some noble houses didn't poses. Just as the scroll came out discussions started among the crowd, while people in V.I.P rooms also got intrested.
Luke was jolted awake. 'This stuff is good. It could help me in understanding Teleportation related seals, even if they won't be similar it could still be of use, I can later make few scrolls to keep it with me 8f I ever get in trouble, which I know I would.' he thought when he heard the description of it, and asked Jessica to explain more about it, which made him intrested in it. Others naturally knew this was a very rare product. Hence Luke didn't rush to raise the price, as he wanted to take a look before other bidders bidding, and then decide.
"10,000 gold!" Someone bid, directly doubling the base price.
"12,000 gold!"
...
"13,200 gold!"
....
.....
.....
This bidding was more exciting than the first item, before long it finally reached 30,000 gold. Which was bided by someone from a V.I.P room.
"36,000 gold!" The one that bid was an old man who was sitting in a vip room sipping tea, he raised the bid by 6000 gold, stunning everyone.
It wasn't that other powers didn't have the money to fight it out, but this was only the second item and they didn't want to make it too heated and waste too much money, hence giving up.
The old man smiled in glee, as he thought his strategy worked. Just as he thought he won, Luke raised the white sign expressionately and said, "36,500 gold!"
Everyone was stunned. The old man was a famous player at this and one that many knew, that's why today he booked a private room so that he wouldn't get noticed by others and could get the earth grade physical beads.
Xiongba froze up, looking up while trying to locate the voice and mumbled uncertainly, "this sounds like a voice of some young boy, must be from some rich noble house, heh trying to compete with me let me show you how it's played, kid."
After that he raised the price of it, finally they stopped at 50,000 gold, which was bidded by the old man. "What happened kid, don't you want this manual come on you need to bid more money to buy this." the old man shouted. While smiling slyly 'Heh and after you bid I'll stop bidding, there are many other items to come, and this manual only costs 40,000 at max. Playing with this old man will leave you with no money heheh' he laughed.
"No need, since you are so eager to get this manual I'll gift it to you Senior." Luke said as he already guessed what the old man was planning. And have already asked Jessica about its maximum prize, and she told him that he could get this scroll in Ancient tower shop as they have few more of these scrolls for free, since he had the token.
Then the auctioneer started by saying, " fifty thousand once, 50,000 twice, 50,000 thrice. Congratulations VIP number 76 for winning the second item." The moment she announced this, the item the old man chocked on his tea, and was now feeling as if he had a heart attack."Fuck that kid, he messed with me. Shit now I lost 10,000 gold." he started cursing Luke.
Finally the manual was send to the old man's chamber, and he paid the price albeit with tears in his eyes.
