Grey and Enri laid on the floor after finishing off their set of exercises panting,
"He's… a… monster" muttered Enri who was panting, under his breath.
"To hell… with it, I'm never coming here again" said Grey as he tried to stand up only to crash back onto the floor.
If one paid close attention to either Grey or Enri they would see that their arms and legs were twitching uncontrollably. Enri had already given up all hope of moving an inch after he finished his workout.
"I didn't think Hyla could survive this long" said Grey as he watched me.
"He just started cycling" said Enri in disbelief, "I don't think he'll be able to move tomorrow" he said firmly.
"Me too" agreed Grey as he shook his head slightly.
…
"Control your breathing" said Blue.
"How do you expect me to control my breathing" I thought. It took me all my focus to still be able to pedal the bike, my thighs felt like they were on fire, if I wasn't trying to focus on completing the task at hand I would curse Blue out.
"Don't be stupid and just take a breath in intervals, I'll guide you" replied Blue.
"Piss… off" I said.
"In… out, in… out" said Blue as he tried guide me to help me regulate my breathing.
Coach Michael just stood at a corner as he ate a bag of chips watching me, "I didn't think he would be able to move his legs after the squats" he thought smiling.
"Blue, I thought after the adjustments you made I would be able to survive this?" I asked.
"Don't give me that attitude" said Blue snappily, "Any other athlete would not be able to move their legs after the squats" he said in a prideful manner.
"I thought you were some super cheat alien but now I can see that you are just a cheat" I said telepathically.
"humph, if not for me you would be on this floor having a seizure from just exercising" replied Blue mockingly as he laughed.
I swear one of these days I'll kill this stupid alien, I thought to myself.
"Just make sure you complete your workout, I'll help you with recovering" said Blue before he disappeared.
…
I just finished cycling as I climbed off the bike only to land on the floor with my butt heavily, my legs shaking nonstop, not to even the muscle spasms. I just checked the time on my wristwatch.
"I have to say, you surprised me" said Coach Michael as he walked towards me, before he held my legs. It felt as if my legs were no longer mine but the moment he pressed my legs, they felt as if they were on fire.
"Really?" I asked while enduring the pain.
"No need for you to do the weight lifting" he said as he massaged my legs.
"Don't worry I can handle it" I said as I put on my best smile despite the throbbing pain from my thighs.
"No need, you need to rest" he said, "I just wanted to test how serious you were" he said standing up.
Disregarding his advice, I waited for five-minute break to end as I stood up on my wobbly legs as I dragged myself to the where they kept the weights while Grey and Enri watched me pull myself up. Coach Michael tried to stop me from moving by obstructing my path, but we both ended up staring at each other. He saw the determination in my eyes and knew that there was no stopping me.
All the while the only thought going through my head was; 'I can't possibly stop now, what if the other aliens arrive now how will I protect anyone when I can't protect myself'.
I finally reached the place they kept the weights as I slowly sat down on the equipment which had a seat before asking,
"Coach Michael, how many pounds do I need to lift and how many Reps?" I asked looking at him.
Currently, the athletes who were supposed to be working out were currently watching me with horror all over their face, as a matter of fact they were already surprised that Grey and Enri successfully finished their workout because if it was them they might have given up halfway through and now they watched me push myself to the point of breaking as I attempted to complete my workout.
The other coaches present without knowing had held their breaths as they watched me make my every step.
"He's incredible" said a coach
"It's the first time I'm seeing someone with such a strong will, even though his legs hurt like hell, he's still walking" said another coach.
Without realizing it, I had slowly gained the admiration of the coaches and athletes present and at the same earned the wrath of the athletes as well, because who knew that after watching me the coaches had made up their minds to intensify the training of their athletes.
"Twenty Pounds and give me Twenty reps" said Coach Michael.
Nodding I picked up the Twenty Pound dumb bells as I started to lift.
…
I finished the twenty reps of weight lifting I was given before dropping the dumb bells as I slid off the seat to lie down on the floor.
"You have exceeded my expectations" said Coach Michael to me as he passed me a pill and a glass of water. The pill was a strong painkiller so that I would not feel the intense pain in my legs.
"I didn't think you would survive that" said Grey as he joked, "You should have seen your legs shaking"
"They were like matchsticks about to be blown away by the wind" said Enri laughing.
The pain I felt was in no way little, despite taking the pill I still felt my legs hurt even though it was not as much as before.
I lay on the floor unable to even utter a word. It was well into the afternoon when we finished for the day.
Coach Michael drove us back to the dorms in his Sweet SUV.
I'm really sorry I couldn't write as much as I wanted in this chapter, ? with my nieces in the house there's no quite place
