"By the way. How much is your payment per job?"

"I heard that your work rotates only on helping around people or hunting right?"

"Tell me, Mello. Can we become adventurers too?"
"Ah... Yeah! But before you become one. You will have to prove it first."
"How?"
"Well. You could tell them to put you into ten-star immediately. But before that. You must complete a task on that. The task varies on what star you wanted to be in."
"Then. If you wanted ten stars. You must defeat a giant basilisk. Well, it's pretty much impossible because of its petrifying gaze. Once it activated. Its eyes will shoot beams of light. Whoever is caught on that will be turned into stones. Well. Adventurers have no way of countering it. But it is mostly taken care of by the Theocracy whenever one is nearby and the nations asked for help."
"Then. How are they defeating it? The Theocracy."
"The priests are capable of reverting the petrifying using their miracles. But since priests can't become adventurers. It's pretty much impossible. But they said it's easy to kill. The only thing that makes it a problem is because of its gaze."
"I see. Then I will become a ten-star adventurer."
"Please wait! Don't do that master! I don't want to lose you yet! I didn't even become that strong yet. Please don't. It's also for your safety."
"Hey. Just don't stop him. You don't know what he's capable of."

After arriving at the Adventurers' Guild. They opened the door and head inside.
There are lots of gossips.
"Hey. Isn't that person the one who casually punched a guy here and defeated Valentina?"

They then approached the receptionist.
"Hey. How could we become adventurers?"
"Umm... It's not that easy sir. You may be the one who defeated Ms. Valentina. But it's not that easy to become one sir."

"Knowledge is crucial as an adventurer. You must know lots of things before you become one. Well. You can be an adventurer now after taking a test. But it's not just like that. We are saying this as a warning for those aspiring as an adventurer. It is for your own safety too. Because if you died we don't have anything from that. We can't revive you. There are lots of jo–"
"Just let me in. Is hunting this Giant Basilisk have to be done in groups or individual?"
"You mean... You wanted to be ten-star? Ten-star adventurers are rare. There are less than fifty of them in the whole kingdom."
"Just tell me. Are we gonna do it individually or in a group?"
"Ahh... All tests are done individually. But if you really wanted it. Three of you could do it as a team since a Giant Basilisk is a kind of impossible to defeat. So if you really insist. Then fine. There is a Giant basilisk currently located in the east forest of the kingdom. Bring us proper evidence that you killed it. If you do so. Then three of you will become ten-star adventurers."
"Sure. Piece of cake."
And they left. As they head towards the door.
"Hey... Are you gonna kill yourself? You can't challenge a Giant Basilisk. That's downright impossible for you. You may have defeated Valentina but it's not like that. You must have a wide knowled–"
"Shut up."
"Ahh... What? Do you know who I am?"
"No. And I am not interested."
"Then. I'm Taga. The strongest adventurer of the city."
"Then I would take that title away from you."
"What!? Hey! Do you know why nobody defeated Valentina? It's because none of the ten-star adventurers have challenged her. I watched your match. That thing you did is impossible. Nobody could do that no matter how fast they are. And also. You refused the title. You're right. It's a hassle of always defending your title. That is why nobody had challenged her as a ten-star adventurer. But then. Tell me how you've done that."
"It's not that hard for me. You would know soon."
Why Takao is doing those kinds of things is because it is inspired in anime and movies. He's a bit of chuunibyou.
"Well. I'm not interested in talking to you. So let me go on my way."
"Wait!"
A person then called out to him. That person seems to be in his 30's. He has a sword on his waist.
"Please, let me join you."
"Huh??? Why? And who are you?"
"Umm... Please let me join you. I wanted to advance to ten-star please!"
"Fine."
"Takao? Why did you let him?"
"Yeah. Master, why?"
"Just let him."
"Hey you! Why are you joining these ignorants?"
"I have my own reasons. So please let me in."
"But it's clearly just a suicide, you idiot!"
"I'm fine. I will join them."

As they head outside.
"Hey." Taga approaced the receptionist.
"Do you think they would have chance against it?"
"No. They are idiots i guess. No matter how you see it. It's impossible. The best way to become a ten-star is by climbing through ranks. I don't know what's the deal with those people. They don't know what they are facing."
"Also. That person seems to be an idiot too. He just wanted to go with them so that he would be a ten-star adventurer."
"Let's just let them be. They would be the first people who would be dead due to being idiots."
