The door holding the wicked nobles outside the room couldn't last any longer and it collapses. Arden gritted his teeth while the door broke in front of his eyes.
Arden and his people inside the room are ready to fend off any attacker coming through the door. And so, the enemies came rushing to them with their sword raised above their hand.
'Look at these fools charging right into my sword without any protection form the sword itself,' He has the chance to say such thing in his mind before facing off the enemy.
The fight… couldn't even be called a fight. Only with a slap from the side of the sword, they fall to the ground one by one.
What's more interesting is, the furniture that used as a barricade to hold the door is making a narrow path for them, the enemy charge toward enemy sword with energetically and retreating with fear across their body in the end.
Arden smiled before sheathing his sword back to the scabbard. He then turn around to see the situation of his people. They were badly injured, scratch all across their clothes and faces, blood stained the clean clothes is visible to his eyes.
"I used the blunt side of my sword against you and you use the sharp part of the sword to injure my people! I will kill you all!" He shouted at them with his body still facing his mates.
This made him go mad, Arden turned his attention to the enemy and unsheathed his sword once again. He began charging to the enemy with his sword edge, heading toward the throat of one of many people.
His madness is like a bull charging into something. He couldn't stop himself and increased his speed. That's when a spear suddenly came from the corner of his eyes and it was unexpected by him.
He was simply taken aback by the unexpected parry from out of nowhere and retreated back. After that, he asked loudly, "Where did this spear come from?"
Then, around the corner, a person with the black short hair and muscle all around his body and light armour equipped on him answered, "From me!"
He is giving the smug-looking face and laughed like Arden was nothing in front of his eyes. That is the part he is wrong at, underestimating a knight is a big mistake.
Even though Arden wanted to charge him at that point, he managed to keep calm. He knew that if he loses his temper against an experienced guy, he probably wouldn't win.
Arden just stood there doing nothing while examining the surrounding. From the environment to the armour the man is using, all of it is analysed by Arden.
He is always careful before a fight, examining everything about his opponent to ensure his chance of winning. He did this while his opponent just laughed and getting praises from the nobles behind him.
Arden grinned, knowing he could win at that place right now and was about to challenge the person to a duel. Suddenly, the guards came out of nowhere, rushing to the room Arden currently at.
The guards surrounded the door and one of them steps forward and shouted loudly, "Baron of Aselwey! We need to arrest you because you have caused some disturbance around the other nobles!"
At that very moment, right after he heard that Arden knew the kingdom was going to fall down from the flight of stair it's currently at, 'Since the death of the previous king, the nobles have become more ruthless, the guards became corrupt, this kingdom would doom if someone didn't stop it!'
The guards approached Arden in the middle of his thought, and he was fortunate enough to realize it. He returns to his fighting stance with his sword in front of him and ready to hold until the help come to him.
The guard noticed the fighting stance and began changing to their own as well. One of them bluntly said, "You still dare to fight with us! With this many people and the best warrior from Bisvirb, which is behind us, you couldn't win"
The guard pointed at the person that uses spear behind him while he himself is standing there facing Arden, not in his fighting stance. All the other guards and people lower their guard and laughed with their eyes closed.
'Now!' Arden thought it was a good idea to catch the guard while they are not paying attention and immediately charged to the fray of guards.
He swings his sword left and right. The guards were simply not his match with their attention at other places. All of them fell down to the floor, leaving the "best warrior from Bisvirb" left standing alone.
Arden looked around him and said, "You shouldn't have get into trouble with the righteous, they will win sooner or later!"
He says this while the warrior from Bisvirb is still at the stage of realizing what just happened.
Once he heard Arden saying such words, he couldn't help but spit to the grounds before saying, "I dare you to a duel, prove you are righteous, hahahahaha, or maybe I'm the one righteous!"
The other nobles laughed hearing the words from the warrior while the guards is replacing their confused face to a smug-looking one, "Hahaha, you won't stand a chance against him! He is from the House of Scolia! The best one in this world!"
The guards said this and Arden laughed loudly, knowing the guard haven't seen the true world, "A frog in a well! I will duel him then! You all be the witness of this battle, I bet my life on this!"
All the people looked at him and their eyes widen seeing his courage. Even went as far as to bet his life on the duel. The opponent he is going to be facing responded with, "Haha! You have quite a bit of courage! I wonder what a kid can do against me, I will bet my life too!"
Arden stares at him with a thought popping up in his mind, 'Didn't he know what I am? I'm a knight, I train my life for fights. Are they just idiotic and didn't even bother to search for information, or they knew but didn't care at all?' He stopped his thought and raise his arm and began rubbing his chin.
With full of courage and bravery in his mind, he said to himself, 'Either way, I will defeat him in this duel, let's see what they are going to do once I did that'
His opponent bluntly and loudly said to him and the crowds of nobles and guards, "Let's move to the road, we have more room there compared to this narrow room"
The men and women began making their way to the stair and to the middle of the road. While Arden is still standing there and doing nothing, 'Let me check on my friends'
That is the first thing that comes into his mind and he quickly turns back only to find his friend comforting each other with words like, "You did well" and "This is my first battle, I helped our lord on the fight"
Both of the boys are lightly injured from the fight while Theo himself only has some scratch around his clothes. Theo is standing at his place, his face is lowered and he stares at the sword.
Arden was curious about a feeling after a fight from Theo, and so he decided to approach him. Once he was close enough to Theo so that both of them could talk properly, he asked a question, "So, how do you feel after the fight?"
Theo is silent for a few moments before answering his question, "I have this weird feeling that I enjoy it and I'm into it, sadly I couldn't be a squire like my son"
Arden looked at him for a few second thinking what to say and finally knew what to say to him, "You could always train with me! That feeling of your is good, don't get too into it though, you will become mad sooner or later if you did"
Theo raised his head from the sword full of a scratch from the battle and then to Arden, nodded at him and said, "Thank you, I understand, good luck on the duel, I will pray for your victory!"
Arden nod back at him and went on his way to the road, he exited the room where they made the defence and heard something from Theo's voice, "Sorry boys, I couldn't be much of a help and just defend, my wound is much less than yours"
The voice of both boys mixed together as both of them said, "No problem, we could train together if you like it!"
Arden automatically smiled as he began going down the stair and to the first floor of the house. He walked and walked while his mind prepares him for the duel.
Once he stepped his eyes through the doorway that has the door previously attached to it and now lying on the floor. The bright lights greeted him.
