章節 72: Problem With Karen
The streets were filled with all kinds of armed people, from the personal guard, the city guard and the military personnel of the local noble. Normal people that reside in the city can't be seen anywhere.
Some of them fled, so they didn't get into the fight that is about to break out. While most of them went inside a building that provides a point of view into the fight itself.
Everyone at the street was cautious at each other, their weapons were unsheathed and out from their scabbard. But, there is one person there, relaxed and with her selfish face, standing there not know what will happen.
She went straight into Bryan, Arden's commander that came to the scene. And began making her fake voice and act. She used everything to slander Arden, without knowing she is talking to Arden's subordinate.
"SIR! Please help me, that guy in the middle stole my cat! I want it back! Please arrest him as soon as possible, " Bryan looked at her as she was holding his arm.
Then, he throws her into the ground and shouted, "You dare to slander our lord! Who are you to even talk?"
Bryan looked at her while underestimating her. She shouted at everyone, "HELP! HELP! HE ATTACKED ME!"
All of her guards quickly charged forward and with the fake things that came out of her wicked mouth. A fight broke out at the street.
The Karen's personal guard was surrounded for 2 sides by the city guard and the soldiers. Even though surrounded, they tried to put up a fight.
They are at a disadvantage, Arden, as the lord of all the city guards and army, won't just watch as his men fight. He began attacking them from behind and with his help, all the opposing site lose the fight.
Arden smiled knowing he had won, but the Karen disappeared from his sight, he is surprised. In his mind, he began asking a question, 'What kind of trick he used to escape! Leaving her men to die in the fight'
That's when he heard the sound of a horse trampling the ground and wheels rolling on the ground. He turned his attention there and saw the most decorative carriage leaving the scene.
His commander rushed to him immediately and James quickly asked, "Sir! She escaped, should we do something? Chase her maybe?"
Arden just smiled at them before he looked back at the carriage that is becoming further and further away from them. That's when he noticed a flag at the carriage, located near the driver's seat.
He squinted his eyes and saw it was a flag with pink flower petals with a white background. He tried to search up his memory to see what flag is that but didn't find any answer in his memory.
He was about to think about but his thought was disrupted when someone rushed to him and quickly hugged him. It happened in front of many people and he was a little bit embarrassed.
That's when he lowered his head and see who was hugging him, and there she was. His own wife came down from the castle in order to find him.
Everyone looking at this didn't despise them for doing something like that. Most of them clapped and even the normal people that were watching the fight all this time began clapping from the window.
Even though all of this happened, he still felt a little embarrassed and with a soft voice and whispering, he told his spouse, "Hey, let's move to the castle and not do this here."
She raised her head and looked at him while he was blushing and chuckled a bit before whispering, "Okay, let's go back to the castle"
Arden and Valen were walking down the street and toward their castle. They were about to leave the scene with the pets Arden got at the forest.
As they pass Bryan, the commander of his infantry unit at his army. He tapped his shoulder and said something as quick as he can, "Report the casualties at my office, bringing Rob and James is your choice"
Bryan looked at him and bowed at him while saying, "Yes sir!"
And Arden continues his journey back to his castle with his wife beside him. Both of them walked their way on the road with the sun above them.
It was just like their first date, walking full of romance at the road. Except, at that time, they were enjoying the experience.
The thing is, Arden hasn't cleaned himself from yesterday and he has been through man place. God knows how long the tunnel he used earlier was built.

Once both of them were at their bedroom, the looked at each other awkwardly. Then, Valen gave out the first words, a question, "So, what pets do you get?"
Arden looked at the pet at his hands and said excitedly to her, "Look! I got us a cat!"
Valen looked at the animal and a smile came up at her face. She softly said, "Give me that cat, and go clean yourself, you smelled like when you came back from the war"
Arden smiled and just gave her the tiger and then cleaned himself in the bathroom. A few minutes pass as he makes sure he became clean like he once is and smells like flowers.
Once he was done, he got out of the bathroom and imagining what her wife have done to the tiger. Using it as a hugging toy or maybe looking at its face or even… using it as a pillow?!?
He looked at it and there he saw, the tiger cub sleeping comfortably at hi part of the bed and his own wife playing with their children. He used his clothes and began sitting down at the bed.
That's when he forgot something, it's about the white cat that led him to find the tiger cub. He didn't see it around the room and that was when something leaps into the room.
It was the white cat. Both Arden and Valen noticed this. She stared at the cat a few minutes before quickly approaching the cat after thinking it was so cute.
The cat didn't resist, and both the cat and Valen became attached to each other. That's when she stated, "I want this cat, that cat can be yours"
Arden looked at the tiger cub and then back at his wife and the cat playing with each other at the bed. That's when he realised that the tiger is more useful, "Okay! I'll take this tiger cub"
Valen hearing this looked at him and just gave out a short, "What"
Her eyes widen and her jaw dropped, she then noticed that the tiger cub is different from the cats and quickly said, "That tiger is so much cooler! But I still like the cat better!"
Arden smirked and began playing with the tiger cub while it was still sleeping. Arden then wraps his arm around the tiger cub's back and began raising it.
Then holding it like he would while holding his own baby. He then began making his way toward the door and was about to leave the room.
Before he closed the door, he said to his wife, "Bye-bye, I'll go to my office now"
His wife waved at him even though he didn't know she did and Arden began making his way to his office. Once he was there, he placed the tiger cub on a piece of cloth and placed it at his lap.
Then he began his word, about paper works and other kinds of things. The paper works mostly consist of the building or structure that needed to be improved at a certain location and was sent by the nobles living near there.
He was focused on his work, and then; he ran out of inks. He began opening his drawers to search for inks and that's when he found a bottle of inks, still new and never used.
Beside it was a book with an interesting cover, he grabbed it and began examining it and there he saw the title, "The list of nobles in the Kingdom of Avalon"
This made him more interested on the book and he began looking at it instead of continuing his work. There he saw many familiar names, it began with the king name and then the duke and then the counts.
The more he flipped the page to the next page, the weaker the nobles got. He was about to read more about it but that's when someone knocked at his door.
He quickly shouted, "come in!" From his seat at the office. The person that knocked the door came in and showed his face, it was Bryan, just alone and without Rob and James.
Arden quickly placed the books at his table's drawer and straighten himself. Bryan seeing this and not wanting to waste time and just began the report about the casualties of the fight.
"Sir, we didn't suffer any casualties but some people are wounded, the city guards lost some men but it was like 2 or 3 people" Arden smiled and then dismissed him.
After Bryan have gone out of the room, Arden began thinking of the problem with Karen. It was their third encounter and he knew that Karen was up to no good.
