''It was an emergency so I brought him here with me,'' Veronica gulped, understanding that he was insinuating that his working hours were over.

''He was Dr. Warner's patient…'' but his secretary was not capable enough to deal with him. 

She had yet to finish her sentence when the man said, ''Oh?" The distaste on his face at the mention of Maxim was pretty apparent, ''So, that incapable man couldn't handle this case and so he abandoned his leftovers to me? For what?'' His eyes narrowed.
