Chapter 48 — Ning Chen and The Shrek Academy.
Bai Chenxiang soon stopped crying and walked away from Ning Chen after realizing how clingy she was acting.
"I'm sorry for suddenly crying at you," She apologized while feeling awkward.
Ning Chen shook his head and slowly patted her head, "It's fine, there's nothing for you to sorry about."
Bai Chenxiang nodded slowly with her head lowered.
Ning Chen was truly kind and understanding...
The two of them stood besides each other for a moment in silence, but they suddenly heard many footsteps approaching.
"So you guys were here! Why did you two left so early?" Qin Ming asked them.
"There's no reason at all," Ning Chen replied quickly because he didn't want to let the others know about Bai Chenxiang crying.
"Hmm? Why is your eyes red, Yu Feng?" Dugu Yan asked curiously after seeing the redness in Bai Chenxiang's eyes.
Bai Chenxiang was startled, but she quickly though of an excuse.
"Don't worry, some dust just got into my eyes," She laughed lightly.
"Oh, you had me worried for a second there. I thought you cried because we lost."
Bai Chenxiang smiled wryly hearing that and didn't know how to answer back. She indeed cried after losing the match.
Clap!
Qin Ming clapped his hands repeatedly and then said, "You all can rest at the hotel now because I'm sure you're all tired. I'll also excuse myself to meet with the Shrek Seven Devils Team."
The Emperor Team were slightly curious about Qin Ming's plan with the Shrek Seven Devils Team, but could only nod their heads in the end.
They were exhausted from the fight and preferred to rest their tired body and mind.
On the other hand, Ning Chen's eyes lit up and he quickly requested something toward Qin Ming.
"I will also go with you and meet them, especially my little sister," Ning Chen said while smiling.
Qin Ming looked at him and pondered for moment before nodding.
"Okay, you can come with me."
There was no problem with the request and it seems like Ning Chen just wanted to see his little sister.
"See you guys later!" Ning Chen waved his hand toward the Emperor Team.
Ning Chen and Qin Ming then soon went toward the room of the Shrek Academy.
Bai Chenxiang didn't followed after Ning Chen because she knew she will only interrupt his reunion and she was also still embarrassed at what happened earlier.

"Hmmm, I look many times more spectacular while wearing this formal suit," Ning Chen muttered while appraising himself using a mirror.
He was currently inside a restroom after telling Qin Ming to wait for him outside to change his clothes.
Ning Chen placed his normal clothes inside his spatial ring and instead wore a black and red formal suit.

He was still feeling slightly uncomfortable and most likely will receive more dangerous thirsty eyes of women, but Ning Chen wanted to reunite with his sister at his most handsome and refined appearance.
Ning Chen would do anything for his dear family, even the things he didn't like much.
However, he felt he was eventually gonna be used to this kind of clothing, but he still need time for his mind to adjust.
Ning Chen soon left the restroom and Qin Ming was stunned seeing Ning Chen's new and fresh-looking appearance.
"Who are you...?" Qin Ming couldn't believed what he was seeing.
Ning Chen smiled faintly and made a cool pose, "It's none other than me, Ning Chen!"
Qin Ming nodded after hearing Ning Chen's answer. He was stunned, not able to process the thought someone can change so much by. just wearing a fabulous and grand clothes.
It seems like the words clothes makes the man was true...
Ning Chen was already quite handsome before, but he was now heaven-defyingly handsome.
"You sure love your sister," Qin Ming remarked after thinking that Ning Chen put all this effort for his sister.
"Of course, extremely much to be exact," Ning Chen said with a loving smile.
Ahh, He couldn't wait to see his sister again...
The two of them soon arrived in front of the Shrek Team's private room. Qin Ming quickly knocked on the door.
The door soon opened widely and the two of them slowly entered inside the room.
The Shrek Seven Devils Team and their teacher were discussing about what happened earlier, but they stopped after hearing someone knocking.
Their principal, Flender soon opened the door and he was surprised to see two people entering.
One was familiar and the other was slightly similar to someone he knew.
The Shrek Seven Devils Team suddenly felt that entire room getting extremely bright as their eyes unconsciously landed at a handsome youth with short glossy pink hair.
A question soon popped up inside their mind.
How can a man with such a beauty, capable of even surpassing a god, exist in this world?
The man's cold amethyst eyes swept around the room before his gaze landed on Ning Rongrong.
His expression quickly grew bright as he quickly ran toward her.
"Rong'er!" Ning Chen shouted in delight while hugging Ning Rongrong tightly.
All of the people inside the room were shocked upon seeing this. They didn't expect an unfamiliar man to suddenly hug their friend.
And much to their astonishment, Ning Rongrong wasn't pushing the man away and instead also embraced him tenderly.
"Big bro..." Ning Rongrong muttered with a small happy smile.
Ning Chen then held her chin and stared intently at his sister's face.
"You have grown more beautiful," He said and started petting her head gently.
Ning Rongrong was happy to hear his compliment.
Seeing the two acting so close and lovely together, someone quickly got the wrong impression about them.
They thought of them as something like a lover.
"You! Why are you hugging our Rong'er and what are you to her!?" Oscar quickly tried to seperate Ning Chen and Ning Rongrong apart.
His expression was flushed red seeing them like that and grew jealous.
Ning Chen frowned heavily as a result of this and thought negatively of this rude man for interrupting their reunion.
He also found it offending hearing Oscar calling Ning Rongrong so affectionately.
"What am I to her you ask?" Ning Chen stood in front of Oscar like a tall and menacing mountain.
Oscar was immediately terrified of his intimidating and imposing pressure, causing him to retreat toward his friends.
Ning Chen snorted and thought that guy was nothing more than a coward — not worthy of his sister.
"I am Ning Rongrong's brother, so what now? Are you gonna do something to me?" He asked commandingly.
Oscar was surprised hearing that and it wasn't only him. The other students and teachers as well.
"N-No, sir. I'm sorry for interrupting you two," Oscar quickly replied while feeling embarrassed.
He realized he got the wrong impression, but he was still jealous about them acting so close.
The Shrek Seven Devils had always heard many things about Ning Chen from Ning Rongrong in the past.
It was mostly about her brother being extremely handsome and cool, intelligent and also strong.
However, they didn't fully believed her words and sometimes even ridiculed her, but now they were starting to believe her.
They had after all witnessed Ning Chen's stunning appearance and also imposing might, so her words might be truly true.
Qin Ming then stepped forward and then bowed respectfully toward the teachers of shrek.
"I, Qin Ming, former student of Shrek Academy, greets you all again."
The Shrek Seven Devils Team were surprised hearing that. It was also the same with Ning Chen.
He was now curious about Qin Ming's relation to shrek academy.
Flender smiled seeing Qin Ming and then said, "You're still formal as always, but forget about that already. You've already graduated and is now known for being a genius and also a successful teacher of the most prestigious imperial academy."
Qin Ming shook his head and replied, "Thank you for those words, but you're the teacher that turned me into who I am today, so I must at least pay my respect."
Flender grew emotional after hearing that and Xiao Wuji patted his shoulder.
Qin Ming then turned toward the Shrek Seven Devils and smiled.
"It's nice to meet the new generation of the Shrek Academy and It's good to see you all being excellent. I am once again Qin Ming, the teacher supervising the Emperor Team."
The Shrek Seven Devils nodded their heads and they already liked Qin Ming's attitude.
Qin Ming then introduced a certain someone toward them, "And he's Ning Chen, also a member of the Emperor Team."
They stared at Ning Chen as a result, but he ignored the gazes directed at him and continued talking with his sister for they don't matter much to him.
The Shrek Seven Devils were quite infuriated seeing Ning Chen's indifference, but soon calmed down under Tang San's words.
"Part of the Emperor Team? Then why wasn't he included in the fight? Is he weak?" Ma Honjung asked quietly toward his friends.
Ning Chen, however, heard those words clearly with his sharp ears.
He simply snorted toward that and said clearly, "Me weak? In fact, It's the opposite because if I have joined the fight, I alone could've defeated all of you."
His arrogant remarks quickly provoked The Shrek Seven Devils Team, causing them to clench their fist intensely in anger.
Xiao Wu was about to curse at Ning Chen, but then realized he was somehow familiar.
Those familiar glossy pink hair and beautiful amethyst eyes...
She was then hit with realization and she couldn't have mistaken it...
"You... Are you Sword Peak!?" She asked in shocked while also still feeling unsure.
"Oh, that's surprising and also rather unsettling. How did you know?" Ning Chen was quite surprised, he was definitely wearing a mask back then.
Xiao Wu quickly grew angry and furiously pointed her finger at him.
"Of course I would know! I hate you very much because you injured San-ge! That glossy pink hair is also very eye-catching!"
Ning Chen chuckled lightly and then replied, "It's partly his fault for being weak. I even held back my strength so he shouldn't be injured seriously."
The others got angry and even wanted to punch Ning Chen at his face, but Tang San quickly stopped them.
"He speaks the truth. I was indeed weak and it's normal to get injured at a fight, but next time I won't lose," Tang San said toward them calmly with firm determination inside his eye.
This caused his friends to reluctantly agree and stopped thinking about hurting Ning Chen.
However, it was merely a wishful thinking of them to actually believe that they can injure Ning Chen.
"Since you lots has nothing to say further, I'll now take my sister to a date with me," Ning Chen said before quickly grabbing Ning Rongrong's hand.
Ning Rongrong was startled, but liked the warmth of her brother's rough yet firm large palm.
Before the two of them left the room, Ning Chen said goodbye toward them and also said jokingly as his final words.
"You guys don't need to worry much! I will not steal my sister and will return her back after we finish our date."
As a result, Oscar grew agitated, but his friends quickly patted his shoulder in comfort.
After Ning Chen and Ning Rongrong, Qin Ming discussed something with the teachers.

Ning Chen had a short, but enjoyable fun date with Ning Rongrong.
They wandered around the city, trying many things together, however, unfortunately it was time for them to separate.
Before separating from his sister, Ning Chen decided to give her the silver ring which he bought for her as a gift.
He placed it over her delicate fingers himself and this somehow made Ning Rongrong's have red face.
Ning Chen didn't know the reason behind her strange reactions, but just thought she was merely happy after receiving his gift.
He then kissed Ning Rongrong on her forehead and they eventually separated from each other.
Ning Chen immediately went back toward the hotel to sleep and rest.
The next morning, Ning Chen decided to leave the city after saying goodbye to Qin Ming and the Emperor Team.
Ning Chen travelled back toward his clan to finally visit and spend some time with his parents and grandpas again.
He thought they were feeling lonely with him and Ning Rongrong not around.
However, it seems like they weren't lonely, but instead energetic without them siblings around.
He had accidentally witnessed them being busy trying to make them a new brother and sister.
Ning Chen didn't actually know what they were doing, but he didn't cared since it seems like they were having fun.
He spent a whole week inside the clan to accompany his parents and then decided to head toward the Heaven Dou Capital City.
Ning Chen was planning to visit Xue Qinghe and give him the gift he purchased for him.
He had already told about this toward his father in advance. Ning Fengzhi then told about this toward Xue Qinghe.
Ning Chen didn't know about Xue Qinghe's reaction upon hearing, but he thought it must be at least positive, right?

Ning Chen soon arrived at the palace and he was currently wearing a white formal suit that greatly reinforced his charm.

He needed to wear a formal suit because it was needed to enter the palace and he also wanted to meet with Xue Qinghe while looking cool since it has been a long time since their first meeting.
Ning Chen easily managed to pass through the imperial guards after showing them the emblem pass his father gave toward him.
He soon reached Xue Qinghe's chamber and stood in front of the large golden door while having mixed-feelings.
He was feeling excited and skeptical at the same time.
Ning Chen didn't know why, but Xue Beng's words keep repeating inside his mind.
The large golden door soon opened widely and a handsome yet still feminine man stood in front him.
Ning Chen's eyes were indifferent as he took a step forward.
Xue Qinghe was smiling widely after seeing Ning Chen. He quickly went toward Ning Chen to properly greet him, but his foot soon halted.
"You..."
Xue Qinghe might be the impostor...
It was merely just Xue Beng's suspicion and might not be the truth at all.
But....
Ning Chen's amethyst eyes met with Xue Qinghe's own phoenix-like eyes.
"Who really are ÿ̵̘ȯ̸̯ŭ̵̢?"
...He wanted to know the truth.

Does Ning Chen truly know what a date means? Very intriguing.
I'm starting to feel lazy when it comes to writing, but it might because of me accumulating stress due to my school.
I just have tons of things to fucking do and also need to submit it all fast without having any breaks.
Hais, I'm gonna extremely busy even when it's my birthday tomorrow....
