Snow felt like his heart was dashed to pieces that instant. He was already close to letting his mother know about the truth when her powers shut down.

It felt like his joy was ripped out from him, leaving him empty and void.

Nerissa who had gone to catch some wild rabbit so as to make something for them to eat suddenly returned only to meet Snow pacing up and down at an extremely fast pace like he was looking for something that was lost.

The look on his face showed so much pain and suffering that it made any onlooker feel for the beast. "Snow, what is wrong?"Nerissa asked when she heard it let out a sharp and painful growl.

That was when he even noticed her presence and hurried straight to where she was, pulling her by her cloak for them to leave.

The tears that were already threatening to spill finally gave way and the little beast cried his eyes out. She did not need some telling to know what was wrong.
