Gael raced after Angela out of the cabin, watching her stride to where Evan was held down on the ground in front of the cars. He was a few steps behind her when she halted and glared down at the pathetic man who caused her a lot of pain.
Then, it all happened so fast. One second, she was scowling at Evan. The next, she'd yanked Trigger's gun that he kept behind him, and she instantly pointed it down, ready to shoot Evan.
Gael jolted forward, swallowing as he observed what she would do. Was it wrong that he was curious what she would actually do? Under any other circumstances—like he didn't need information from Evan first—he'd probably let her kill him. If anyone had the right to exact retribution, it was Angela.
Update 12/31/21: Hello, lovies! I miss you all! My apologies for being away for a long time. I went home to my hometown to spend the holidays with my parents. I wrote in the comments back then about the island being struck by the strongest Typhoon Odette. There has been no electricity and direct water from December 16 until today December 31 (hoping before midnight, the gift of light will brighten my family). I'll share a longer post on my IG soon if you want to read it. Anyway... It was just too hard for me to write while I was there. I did try and write half of the recent chapter (462) but my mind wasn't there. It was too hard to focus. I flew back to the capital yesterday to spend the New Year with my husband, leaving a part of me in Bohol. I was sad to leave my hometown when the electricity was still out. But I'm back now! Hope you guys are safe and having fun with your family and greeting the new year with a bang! Thank you all for being part of my 2021. I appreciate all of you! Happy New Year!
