Dylan's teleportation machine had worked, you just didn't know how. He went to Canterbury, England's one city, in a parallel universe where witches had dominated the entire capital.
After much talk with Agnes, Dylan understood what was happening in that reality and discovered that Agnes was a witch, she had refused to help the others to take London, and the other witches were behind her and the other "rebel" witches, who refused to help take the capital, so she had used a spell to create a little house below the earth to isolate herself from the other witches.
- Agnes can stay here until she finds some way out of this reality.

They spent the whole day telling stories, Dylan telling about the reality he lived in and Agnes telling about Canterbury
