章節 1: The presentation
After 23 years of studying and testing, Dylan finished the biggest project of his life, it was his chance to prove that there are other universes. So he called a meeting with the entire National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), because Dylan promised that the presentation of his teleportation machine would change the world. He was so excited about this meeting that he didn't even sleep at night, he spent most of his time checking the machine to see if everything was okay, this presentation had to be perfect.
It was all right and it was time for Dylan to present his project. "Gentlemen I present to you D.T.M., a teleportation machine that I developed for 2 decades, and it is so powerful that it has the ability to transport you even to other universes; this is our biggest chance to make contact with aliens". The other scientists and astronomers laughed at his idea.
"Dylan, even if that were possible, by the laws of physics you don't have anything to go from one place to another without making the trip, unless when you entered the machine you were copied, destroyed, and cloned in the desired place. But Dylan was already prepared, "Yes, I know, and that's why I made that outfit too, that outfit prevents any matter in it from being destroyed no matter how you try to destroy something, as long as you're wearing that outfit you won't be able to.
Disbelievers of Dylan's idea, everyone at that meeting agreed to test the D.T.M. and the clothing he said would prevent any matter from being destroyed there. Which was absurd even for the year 2067.
And after several tests and studies, everyone was surprised why the machine and the clothes really worked, but the machine only worked if the matter in it was not destroyed, and the clothes had only a 53% chance of working. So they forbade the use of this machine to human beings unless he was aware of and accepted all the risks. Almost three months later and no one volunteered to use the machine, Dylan volunteered. "No, you can't, you're the creator of the machine, no one better than you to study it and try to improve it." "It may be, but I can't see it standing still, and if it works, we can know if other universes really exist." "You're kidding, right?" After a lot of talk, Dylan managed to convince them to let him use the machine. He put his clothes on and got into the machine, everything seemed to be going well, but the clothes didn't work his body was reduced to dust. His friends fulfilled their greatest wish than to have their ashes scattered in space, and prove that other universes exist, and maybe with the teleportation machine he had made it possible...
