Forbidden Arena
Lin Fan couldn't believe it was finally the last day of the Forbidden Tournament. The crowd was even here there hours early along with the camera crew from the Battle Arena Network as well as a blonde he didn't recognize. She was from Radiant Palace and was here to scout him after the tournament was over.
Lin Fan wasn't happy to see all the attention but immediately set up his blacksmith equipment which included a new anvil Mimi Fan had made him last night in a fit of rage. It was much better then the second grade anvil he had before and had a series of halos around it. Lin Fan wasn't one for showing off with such pretty technology, but had no choice with Mimi Fan's heart on the line. He took out a few pieces of Metal Vein Plates and nodded as he looked at the [Burning Fire Armor].
He had to use the echoing heart technique three times in a row when the metal was about to go from radiant shimmering to the diamond star rank in order to make a heaven metal. He focused on activating the law of metal and the law of fire as Ind Quin walked over to him and pulled up a chair.
He took out a note pad and looked like he'd made up his mind about something...
What that something happened to be was he'd dedicate himself to being Lin Fan's Apprentice. It was the only way his father stood a chance of getting Little Quin back. Ind Quin let off a sigh before Lin Fan looked back at him and nodded his head.
"Student... I see you've accepted your master..."
"You win if I drop out of the competition, Han Zhou won't like that very much will he..."
"I don't believe he will..." Lin Fan smiled at Ind Quin before the Battle Arena Network zoomed in on his hands. They started to hammer the metal with the lion's triplet hammer method before he easily switched to the echoing heart technique and then back to the triple hammer method. This astounded announcer of the Battle Arena Network as she began broadcasting the competition live. The people at home in Sacred Light City were astounded to see only Lin Fan on the screen as they turned on the network.
The ratings were supposed to be high because it was the last day of the small Fan Sect against the massive power that was the Undying Night Organization. However, they didn't believe the network would dare try to hog three hours of time on the network with just someone hammering away.
The thing was, though, that many people just kept watching for some reason. Something about the platinum blacksmith technique that Lin Fan was emitting caused people to be stopped by his greatness. People watched sporting events because of one thing, excellence, and Lin Fan looked like an Eight Star Blacksmith who'd reached an extremely high level of insight!
At one point, Lin Fan even closed his eyes and seemed to fall asleep, but as he did his hands kept moving! It was so amusing to watch that people didn't mind him snoring as the broadcast continued! After one hour, the ratings were so high that the producer of the Battle Arena Network drafted up a contract to send to Lin Fan. If they could broadcast a few of the battles of the war, it would make them a lot of money! He knew a showman when he saw one!
"Su Fan... Please... If you keep rubbing my leg like that, I won't get any work done..." Lin Fan started to dream as his hands moved so fast he didn't only crushed the air but crushed the sound. Ind Quin wrote down to make sure to be able to blacksmith in his sleep as the audience finally showed up.
They were all super excited for the last day, but no one seemed more excited than Han Zhou. He gave off the look of complete superiority over Lin Fan as he walked over to Ind Quin and patted him on the shoulder...
"You realize you won unless he makes a perfect eighth grade treasure right?"
"I already gave up... I want to be his student..."
"You what?" Han Zhou said as he smashed his hand into his leg... "You are giving up those two beautiful daughters, Yan Ran and Na Ran to this thing?"
"I don't like you either... Left an angry note for you in your office..." Lin Fan spun the hammer and smiled before he slammed it hard against the Eight Vein Metal Sheet. It immediately shinned before a piece of lightning spun down from the sky and seemed to slowly turn into a liquid that seeped into it.
"If it wasn't for your sister, I wouldn't have mastered this move..." Lin Fan winked at Han Zhou before he spit to his right and laughed as he walked away towards Gin Ran. Gin Ran had also come up to see Lin Fan's handiwork and was surprised to see he had left plenty of time today for assembly. He looked down at the blueprint of the [Burning Fire Armor] and nodded his head as he marked the area for the chest plate, the helmet, and where the metal had to be bent.
The next moment, he once again activated the platinum blacksmith aura and began striking the metal as it slowly formed and took shape. In a few minutes, he an almost complete set of the [Burning Fire Armor] had been constructed with spots for the rivets and bolts to be placed.
However, he looked discontent and kicked it off the table before he once again began the triplets hammer method on a new set of metal...
"It's not good enough... Gin Ran's daughters are on the line... Lots of good nights are on the line... They won't be letting me into their bedrooms for baby making unless I perfect this..."
"Lin Fan... Father is right here watching you..." Yan Ran blushed as Gin Ran grinded his hand into the ball and angrily put his hand on Ind Quin's back... "You... you shouldn't tell him the diagram you drew up for our first night..."
"Diagram? What would he need a diagram for?"
"You set thousands of traps in my room, so I gave him a diagram so he could bypass all those traps... However, the main details are where to hold me on my back..."
"I helped her..." Na Ran smiled and seemed to glow as Lin Fan quickly erected his 502 attempt at the [Burning Fire Armor]. "He might be able to find both of our beds in the same night...
"It's... it's almost perfect... Just hit it like Gue Fan's ass... The right sound has to come off when I strike down in order to fully activate the tribulation for a perfect eighth grade [Burning Fire Armor]. You spent all that time abusing so many men's daughters for this moment..."
"Is he emulating Ban Ta? What happened to that guy anyway?" Mimi Fan said as she also watched Lin Fan hammer the [Burning Fire Armor] with an astute gaze... "I found it odd he disappeared after Lin Fan crushed him... Did he go somewhere to die?"
"He's... he's trying to get a few more magic beast races to support the humans in the upcoming war..." Su Fan said as she picked up Mimi Fan and placed her on her shoulders... "However, you want to know what color your father is glowing right now... I see it with the eye of insurrection..."
"What color?" Mimi Fan asked as Su Fan blushed... She'd only seen that color on Lin Fan when he was extremely enjoying himself in the middle of the night...
"Let's just say daddy really likes hammering things hard... It seems that hammering things is Chicken Man's favorite hobby..."
....
Two hours later,
The time limit for the blacksmith tournament was about to end, but Lin Fan had already disgarded five [Burning Fire Armor], and had made it to his sixth. He slammed his hand down onto to the final rivet, bolt, and and piece of frame before he nodded his head and held it up into the sky.
A gigantic black vortex seemed to be curious about the armor and twisted out of the clouds before it burst into the metal like an arrow. All the clouds in the sky seemed to disappear into the armor as a swirl of light before the hanging sun was revealed up above lingering by a lonely cloud.
"It's not perfect father-in-law, but for your daughters it should protect them from me for a night..." Lin Fan held up his hand to Gin Ran before he sighed and accepted a handshake...
"Your... your full of yourself Lin Fan... However, I have another surprise... Congrats on becoming an eight star blacksmith!"
"You mean... You lied to me?" Lin Fan crossed his arms as a coat was tossed out of Gin Ran's bag and placed gently on Lin Fan's shoulder. It was a red coat with a blue strap and a few silver embelishments. It was only something the most astute, revered, and honored blacksmith would get in Sacred Light City. Becoming an Eight Star Blacksmith meant entry into any of the three academies as well as access to all of the girls from the best families.
"I didn't lie to you..." Gin Ran replied as he shook his head at Lin Fan with a bright smile... "You can still date my daughters, and join my shop, but the only people allowed into my shop are Eight Star Blacksmith... Since you passed the test, I obviously am going to give you the robe of my shop..."
"You... you are giving me a robe? Do I wear it when I go from Yan Ran's room to Na Ran's room..."
"I'm... I'm going to go kill you in my dreams..." Gin Ran sighed as he pat Lin Fan on the shoulder... "You don't have to join my shop, but if you break my girls hearts there is only one thing awaiting you... A deep hole in the ground that you can't ever exit...."
"Anyways, this still doesn't mean he won..." Han Zhou said as he tapped his feet angrily against the ground... "He's made a perfect eighth grade armor, but that just ties him with Ind Quin... How would that be fair..."
"He won..." Gin Ran tapped Han Zhou on the shoulder before he pulled Han Zhou towards an ally... "Come here... Let me show you what will happen if you mes with my son in law again... You know how hard it is for a father to find a good man for her daughter?"
