章節 9: Chapter 9
Finishing their workout, they sat on their bed to catch their breath. Looking down they saw a different feet walking into the room. Looking up Veno and Kear could see that it was Granno, Plavlin and Wren.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"Granno told Plavlin and I that you weren't feeling too well again."
"I brought over the entire first and second season of 'Sparkling Gate'. Since you lost your memory, we can watch it all together."
"This morning I got my memory back. I remember it all, so it's fine. Right now my body feels weird, so it is hard to walk."
"See it is perfect to let you rest!"
Kear could see how energetic Plavlin was about this show. She was interested in seeing an ancient human anime.
'Please can we watch it!?!'
'But… No you're right. You should have the chance to see it too. Are you fine watching it even though it is blurry?'
'It'll be fine.'
"Actually I want to watch it."
"You really do Veno?"
"Granno you brought, both of them over here. I made you all worried and I could use a refresher on it."
"I'll get it started then."
Plavlin ran out of the room heading towards the foyer. The show wasn't too harsh for children, so watching it out there would be fun for everyone. Veno explained to Kear and then asked the other two to help him get over there.

They went through about six episodes of the show. Veno had to read the subtitles for Kear. Everything was too blurry, but that didn't matter. She really enjoyed the show; almost as much as Plavlin. Veno could tolerate it, but like the others they watched it with their friend.
During that time Kear was doing her best to feed Veno. Rin had brought out party food for everyone. From the numbed taste buds from Veno's mouth, Kear could tell how delicious everything was.
Afterwards Kear and Veno made their way to take a shower for the night. Difficulty occurred, but they made it out with a few bumps on their body. Some of the kids were laughing at them because they were walking funny, but they were getting better.
Being exhausted both of them fell straight to sleep. They could go to school tomorrow like this and that would be a big challenge.

Morning came and they were still in this weird situation. Kear moving the body, while Veno had control over their head. They were able to get ready on their own with everything they learned yesterday. Trial and error were the best ways to learn.
Some minor adjustments they walked along with Granno. Veno had told him that 'he' was still having difficulty walking.
"It's fine Veno, because we are brothers. Since you have your memory back you know that right?"
"I do."
'Kear can you form a fist so he can fist bump you?'
'What hand should I use?'
'Use the left fist.'
Kear formed a fist in her left hand and put it in front of the body. Since she was trusting Veno, her eyes were still closed.
"Granno fist bump me!"
"Why do you have your hand in front of you? I'm over here you know."
"Just do it."

Once they got into the classroom, they sat down right away. Kear was trembling, because they weren't in the safety of the orphanage. She had been in the military academy before and it was survival of the fittest there. Fights happened constantly, even bumping into another person. She had only spent a single day here, in this earth school, but she was in control of the body and didn't fully understand the situation; Kear was only trying to blend in. Now if she made a mistake, that would be detrimental to Veno. No way she would let this boy be hurt because of her.
'Do fights happen a lot here?'
'This is a school, Kear. If someone started fighting, they would be thrown out.'
'You kids don't fight?'
'Did you have to fight in school?'
'Every three months we would have a tournament to determine our grades. Depending on how you lost, you would be killed.'
'Really? That is just messed up.'
'For me that was normal. The end of the year exam was even worse, there were guaranteed deaths there.'
'There isn't anything like that here. Don't worry.'
