A year passed since Fen Xin attacked Ryuk. At first no one noticed their death it was up to a weak after Fen Xin had died when he was finally found. The Xin family suffered massive blows, Fen Xin was the leader of the younger generation, worse is that he had taken the majority of pills and funds of the family, and now all that remained was a bloodless husk, not even the most skilled alchemist the family could find, could try and make a blood pill from Fen Xins essence as their was not even a molecule to blood. The thing that scared the Xin family was the fact that Ryuk couldnt be found, the words of the heretic brought about dark thoughts to all the Xin family members, the other clans chose to remain passive, neither making frontal attacks or helping, on the surface that is, in the shadows they fixed contracts that inevitably made it harder for the already struggling Xin family to survive. "That brat couldn't have killed Fen Xin right father?" Ryuks father asked concerned. "Its unlikely i heavily favored Fen Xin and taught him many things, as well as the fact that he had taken most of the pills our ancestors had left and even the most expensive ones in the market. Although the fact Ryuks trace cant even be found, worries me. Anyway even if the brat did kill Fen Xin we still have a lot of time until we even need to think of dealing with him, the problem is that your brother has fallen into disaster and whats worse those other two families are working together to suck us dry, with your brothers keen intuition we could have easily have stopped this, but now thats he's in this depressive state i really dont know what to do," Ryuks grandfather spoke, his eyebrows repeatedly creased. Ryuks grandfather had a majestic aura radiate out of him, this was due to his cultivation technique but with the mental trauma and stress his aura had deteriorated to the point that he now looked like any old man on his rusted throne. "father if only the capital sent us more techniques, you could have easily crossed into golden core stage, but you have been stuck in foundation stage for so long, now even i am catching up," Ryuks father said furious, "if your wife hadn't died we could have easily gotten those resources, that demonic son of yours somehow killed her, but because of how young he was and the fact that they couldnt find any wounds, they thought we poisoned her, yes those damn Ross family, Isabella wasn't even a main heir, but they had the gall to ask for so much remuneration!" Ryuks grandfather seemingly recollecting something shouted. A small sized servant then came into the hall, he fell due to the speed he had come in with, he was covered in sweat and their seemed to be something else latched onto him, but it was ethereal. "Masters theres a demon, there's a demon here!" the servant managed to say those few words but right after them his head was decapitated.
going back to the night of Fen Xins death.
'so because of the blood of Fen Xin and the various beasts that have bled here, i got alot of qi, my current realm would be about qi gathering 2. As for the vitality in the blood, most of Fen Xins was not of his own it was merely pills, this would have been fine but he didn't properly implement it into his body, he just absorbed it and kept it stewing, eventually decomposing. The beasts on the other hand gave me very potent vitality, but most of it was too strong for my body so i lost a lot of that as well. In terms of abilities i cant any from the beast blood, they are too old, or too little, but Fen Xins blood allowed me to have some kind of enlightenment, his techniques and skills have been passed to me, but the memories i have are either useless or diluted and worthless, there is his body refining to foundation realm technique, but i dont really want to rely on such a wasteful technique, it seems only one technique can satisfy the current me. The 9 bustling leaf techniques for my body refining technique, and the 4 beast blood vortex as my cultivation method." Ryuk quickly got the information of his gains in his head, although he made it seem organized, in reality the information he got was all mumbled and no normal person could understand it, but because Ryuk was connected to the spirit guide it only took him a second to understand each kind of meaning. Ryuk had been upgraded from body refining 5 eyes of the world to qi gathering 2, he had manged to skip a few years of training because heaven had begun to deconstruct him, so when his spirit guide emerged, the already destroyed parts couldnt be brought back, this caused the spirit guide to destroy Ryuks whole body and then reconstruct in the best way it knew, the blood of Fen Xin gave it an initial idea, then with some of the beast blood, the spirit guide reconstructed Ryuks body, therefore skipping the rest of the body refining stage. Ryuk then closed his eyes and thought for a long time and then stood up, he walked away from the house, but an image made him walk back, Ryuk went in and picked up his knife, as well as Fen Xins knife and then faded into the forest.
A dark figure stood crouched in a small opening in a trunk, it was observing the battle for territory between two demonic beasts. The beast invading was a grade 2 four pronged wild goat, the one defending was a grade 2 fire phoenix. The goat ran at full speed, but the phoenix was too fast and flew up, but the Phoenix was small and had just ranked up from a level 1 fire pigeon so it could only stay airborne for a few second. The goat quicky twisted its body and allowed the momentum to continue so when the phoenix fell down it got hit by the goats four horns, the phoenix realizing this started gathering all its power. A large plume of fire was released right before the pheoneix fell and right before the goat could hit it, the end result was a boned goat remaining, its horns although ran through the small Phoenix's body, although the fire was able to disintegrate the goat, the amount of time required to charge it was too long, the phoenix thought that with the massive power within the fire it could stop the goat, or blow it away, it had not expected the momentum of the goat to be so powerful. The phoenix flapped its wings incessantly to break free, but that caused more blood to be released and it eventually died. The dark figure, with dark eyes with red pupils then flew down, every action was within his design, he then used his finger to pick up the random blots of blood surrounding the now burnt area. The blood entered a small gourd. This dark figure was Ryuk, his body slathered with mud, but his face couldnt be hidden, ever since his body was reconstructed so was his face, his beauty shone even more majestically than before. "I collected four demon beasts blood, corresponding with the four beast blood technique, but this forests qi is too heavily demonic, i wont be able to find any heavenly beasts, the only solution is to find some in some city, i dont want to go back to doe village yet, and any other village is too far away. There might be a chance but its too slim to be an assurance, these 4 bloods ive collected so far were hard enough, i dont think ill be able to instigate a fight again, the beasts are getting vary. Well there might be a chance. Ai originally i thought this technique was a blessing to me, but i didnt open my eyes before to sense the qi, so i couldnt have known the forest is so polluted by demonic qi, but is it natural or is it made by a demonic king. Well whatever lets try this 4 beast blood vortex." Ryuk said
Ryuk ran across the canopys of the forest and eventually reached a small cave, it was hollowed out by Ryuk in the past, Ryuk thought about entering and decided against. Ryuk didnt know how this process would occur, the memories he had of them were tiny, the Fen Xin had just glanced at it and seen the amount of pain to endure and stopped caring. Ryuk knew two things though, the first was that the body temperature rised very high with this method, and that technique needed precision, Ryuk thought to stay near a river to solve the first one, and the second problem could have happened due to the small area in the cave, as a small area would mean there could be more obstructions in the technique.
After two days Ryuk walked to a river with a deep base. Due to the fact that Ryuk was in qi gathering, the qi could act like oxygen to his cells and allow him to stay underwater for along time. Ryuk had also observed the river for two days to make sure the fish that pass aren't demonic fish. Ryuk then tied some heavy rocks to his waist with some vines he found, he then took out the four gourds with the blood he collected, using qi he had preserved it slightly. Ryuk first absorbed a bit of the blood to increase his cultivation base and vitality and to also maybe get a few inspirations. He failed to get any inspirations and most of the bloods effects couldnt be absorbed by his spirit guide, but being a demonic beasts the amount he got was very pure. Then Ryuk absorbed a little more of the rank 2 white tiger of revolts blood, he then closed his eyes tightly and began to focus. Other than being able to absorb blood, which would in turn increase his vitality and heal his injuries, as well as give him information about the bloods owner, such as technique and such, it was obvious with a higher realm the ability would increase as well to Ryuk, but the spirit guide had an additional effect...
Ryuk had just come out of his house and he moved in a zig zag fashion through the dense forest, his loud cracking of leaves woke many beasts up, but he continued. Nearly 20 li away from the dog house, the sun rose. Ryuk was expended even with his new power. He was in an empty cavern, where bones of various beasts laid. Ryuk saw a slightly made hole in the cliff, he took a few hours of rest and using his knife he dug a small area, big enough to fit one average sized human, then Ryuk found some boulders and went in the cave and began to understand his gains and his new body. His new personality was more calculative, and would only act once he knew everything. Ryuk then opened a case, this case was retrieved from Fen Xin when Ryuk went to get his knife. Inside the case was a couple of pills and small viles of potions. Ryuk didnt understand their ability but decided to take it because he was in dire straits although he had broken through very fast, his body needed to stabilize, therefore he couldnt heal himself adequately. Ryuk stuffed a reddish brown pill into his mouth, hesitated a moment and then bit down. A wave of medical energy entered Ryuk, but then the spirit guide protruded itself out again, this time smaller to fit the caves size. The pills effects immediately escaped Ryuk and he found the reconstructed pill in the spirit guides body, at first confused he waited. The pill then split into two forms a red pill which exuded much more potent medical energy, and a brown clump, which had a nauseating smell, the brown clump then burst into dark red flames and disappeared, the red pill then disappeared and then a burst of medical energy entered Ryuk.
Back in the present
the second ability of the spirit guide was to purify pills to get the most out of it, then was the ability to use material needed to be condensed into a pill to use due to it being too potent without converting into a pill, and finally due to Ryuks guess, the ability to splice blood. As he commanded the spirit guide emerged and the blood just absorbed appeared in its hands, then as he willed, the spirit guide did. Ryuk willed for the heavens qi containing partical's of blood to separate. Beasts absorb heavenly or demonic qi to transform, but there cannot be one without the other, basically ying and yang theory, Ryuk had always been interested in this so it came to him naturally, Without life there cannot be death, without power there cannot be weak, without up there cannot be down, using this concept he decided to try and separate the bits of heavenly qi the beast might have absorbed by accident or somehow had, but he wasn't sure about the quantity or whether it was actually plausible. The blood split and a light colored blood separated and went into another gourd Ryuk had prepared. "i can do it, its time to begin."
