章節 5: CHAPTER 5: SHANE’S BEST FRIEND, ZANDER

Just in time, we arrived in the house. I saw my parents coming out from the front door. Macy parked the car properly not far from the house.
I noticed some familiar cars parked near our house, that is not ours obviously. It was one of my brother's friends but wondering about the other car which is I have not seen before.
I walked closer to my parents in the garage before they go to the hospital. "Hi mom, hi Dad." I greeted. "Are you leaving now?"
"Yes, sweetheart, we were off to do our duties." My dad replied as he kissed my forehead. He walked towards the car. "Did you buy everything that you need for the first day of school?" He asked before getting inside.
"Yes, dad, I guess." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"You go inside with Macy. I already cooked dinner for all of you and your brother's friends were there too crashing tonight. Okay, I love you." My mom said and kissed my cheeks before going inside the car. "Hi Macy!" she added waving to her.
"Bye, Mrs. Cox." Macy smiled.
"I love you, sweetheart." My dad said.
"Okay, Mom, Dad, take care always and careful on your way to the hospital. I love you both." I said then waved my hand. I waited them to roll over before we stepped inside the house.
Opening the front door, we already heard loud voices came from the dining area. "Come on Besh; let's go upstairs first I will put these bags to my room." I told her.
"Okay, we will have dinner later since your brother's friends still in there."
"Yeah, I heard them already." She replied, following me upstairs.
We went to my room and dropped my things I bought. We lay down first to my bed for a few minutes and heard noises in the living room. So, I guess they all done eating dinner.
"Come on Besh, let's go downstairs. I am starving."
"Yeah, me too so starving."
We hurried downstairs as we reached the last step I froze. I saw that rude person I bumped inside the mall. "You…what the hell are you doing in my house?" I raised my forefinger pointing at him frowning while he who was standing looking at me too.
"Yo! what's going on?" I heard my brother Shane looking confused.
"Wait! what?" He asked with a doubt. "Do not tell me this is your sister, Shayla?" Shane nodded.
I even shocked as he knew me, knew my name. "Okay stop, how did you know my name?"
"Hey, sis, you forgot, this is Zander, my best friend. We grew up together. You even tag along with us sometimes when we were kids."
My jaw dropped in front of them. 'Oh my gosh! This person I used to play with in the muds with my brother. He was the one I bumped with a while ago but why I did not recognize him.'
I did not expect that Zander was that more handsome now. Yes, he was handsome before but now it was very superbly HOT as in H-O-T.
I did not pay attention when we bumped each other at the mall. But now that I was calm it really brings back the past. The past that I was head over heels in love with him in secret.
I do not know if Shane's friends are off limits. My brother and I never talk about it when it comes to relationship. I also do not think that Zander will checking me out because he might think of me as sister since we both grow up together.
After we had our dinner, Macy was lying on my bed waiting for me. "What movie should we watch before you go home later?" I asked her looking kind of thinking.
"You? What would you like to feel like watching?" She asked back.
"I was thinking about Nicholas Sparks marathon." I said then she smiled nodded.
"I absolutely love it. Safe Haven first so that I can watch other movies of Nicholas at home." She suggested.
"Got it, that was I was preferred also." I scanned in Netflix to find that movie and I pushed play. I rolled near to Macy join her in my bed. We were too much concentration watching every scene. We both love all of Nicholas Sparks' books.
And when they made it to a movie, both Macy and I hooked to it. Macy may be not always fond of reading unlike me but she does read but not as I love doing it.
A ring on her phone that turned both of our heads of the sound, "Hello" I heard her say then listening to the other line. "Okay, dad I will be right up. Bye!"
She sits up straight facing me. "Besh, Dad, just called to come home. I think I will leave you now without finishing the whole movie." Macy pouted.
"Yeah, I heard you. It's okay since this is soon an ending part. You should go and see you when I see you. Loves you." I smiled.
"Okay, loves you too." She replied, grabbed her car keys. "Bye. Text you later." Then she vanished from my room.
Just a few minutes after Macy left, Safe Haven ended. I scan again for another Nicholas Sparks' movie. I am not tired yet and too early for bed. I am not in the mood reading but watching movie is my thing tonight.
Books can wait for tomorrow since no classes yet and no babysitting schedule so that will be my to do things.
I choose 'Notebook' then I clicked start. I realized I need to take a quick shower before I will fall asleep later. I don't like sleeping without a shower. I clicked pause the movie for a while.
Taking all the clothes off my body inside the bathroom and feel the warm water flows in my skin. Then brushed my teeth after, I changed into my pajamas consist of pair red shorts short and slightly loose tee.
Done with my night self-routine, I went drop flat chest on my bed and facing forward watching 'Notebook' with my two feet bending up.
