章節 4: The Day He Killed [Day 1]
The zombie looked at Leah hungrily. Then it lunged at her mouth open and arms stretched out.Time seem to slow down.
'Im gonna die' that was Leah's only thought.
Then a streak of brown went through the zombie's eye. It pierced the eye and the brain with accuracy and power.It was thrown by Ash with fury,rage, and anger in his eyes.
PLOP!!!
The zombie fell from the ledge headfirst with the spear still stuck on it's head.The spear broke because if the fall.A few zombie also started to gather at the body that fell.
"I won't let anyone die again under my watch"A few words but held a heavy and deep meaning when said by Ash.Memories started flooding his head.He remembered it as clear a day. All the blood, the pleadings, the day he killed, the day they were killed.
He took three deep breaths to calm down as he held back the tears and anger.There were more important things than revenge right now like the shocked Leah.
Her mind was racing with different thoughts than the other every second.
'Do we really have to kill them? It's no different than killing people. What if there was a cure?What if we kill real people? '
"Leah"Ash called out.
"Do we really have to kill them? Can't we just avoid them?"
"So many questions but I'll answer them. Will you let yourself be harmed just because you don't want to kill them?
"I...."
"Will you let your friend and family be harmed just because you don't want to harm them? "
"That's...."
"If you don't want to kill then don't kill unless necessary.You kill them or they kill you.That's your choice"
"But.... "
"Live for those who died. Live the time they are supposed to spend here.At least it won't go wasted.This also applies the same for humans. This is the apocalypse.Humanity's true color will show. There will be a lot of evil and corrupted person out there now.Don't hesitate to kill them."
*Beep* *Beep*
Ash checked his phone and he saw that he received a message from Amber.
Red:Ace your so slow I'm already here. I found something you'll like. Hurry up.
Ash then decided to reply back.
Ace:Sorry I just picked up a lost kitten.
"Do you think I'm a lost kitten?!"Leah said clearly irritated.
"It's a bad habit reading others message you know"Ash replied.
And with that they went down the ladder to meet Amber.
