章節 5: A few days since arriving
So it's been a couple of days since I had discovered the place I was going to make my home at and to be honest I haven't done anything other than dig and build. Because I know that my size will get much larger I had decided to dig out areas that I will use when I gain my humanoid form.
Now I don't know about anyone else but trying to dig out multiple rooms like the kitchen and living room with claws isn't the easiest thing to do. Not only did I have this problem but I also had a problem with where to put the excavated material.
My new body had allowed me to be able to work all these days without having to stop for food and the like. This new body of mine allows me to be able to only have to eat once every couple of days which is nice.
This way of life for me continued for a few days and now it's the light of the next one. I have completed about half of my new home and I will need a few more days to complete it but for today I'll go out hunting again. I need to gain more battle experience and eat more of stones which will help me gain power.
When I eat the stones I feel energy from said stone flow around my body. When it does this my body gets stronger, I gain more power and when I eventually eat enough my body will grow bigger. I don't know why but I can just feel that this is the case.
Stepping out of my home I sniffed the air and that gave me all the information I needed. My sense of smell had increased many times compared to when I was human. My sense of smell was so great that I could smell something that passed by a few days ago like it just walked right passed me.
When I sniffed the air I could smell the scent of a few things that have passed through the area recently. From what I could tell a carnivorous animal had walked pass because of the thick smell of blood that came with it. Now it could have either been injured or recently killed something but either way I had decided to track it.
Hmmm it seems that whatever it is decided to travel down towards the lake. Moving forward following the scent the area seemed eerily quite. No birds signing and neither were the insects making any noise.
At first I thought that nothing was wrong and that it would regain its liveliness soon. But something was wrong after this continued. The only thing I can think of is that something with a powerful aura and killing intent is in the area. When something excluding a strong killing intent or powerful aura in in the area it tends to become quite. The animals will hide out of fear of being killed and be quite so as to not reveal where they are hiding.
After walking down to the lake I began to feel the killing intent and anger of whatever was realising it just down the trail. Whatever it is it's pissed and obviously quite strong.
*RRROOOAAARRR!!!*
What in the fuck?! That was so loud! That isn't your average predator. Whatever it is its big and powerful. Getting closer the smell of blood becomes so great that I'm expecting there to be something dead right around the corner.
I moved into an almost stalking like manner and proceeded slowly though the forest. Thankfully it wasn't autumn or the sound of all the crunching leaves would have given me away.
Making my way slowly through and following the trail I saw a long greenish brown tail move from the left side of the bush into cover. Just by looking at the tail I can guess that the size of the creature to be anywhere from 4-6 meters tall.
Sneaking even closer I finally saw what it was. It looked exactly like a Tyrannosaurus rex! I've seen them in picture books when Tia gave me a book she borrowed from the library for me. I loved the book because this was at the time my fascination on Godzilla started to rise.
Snapping out of my thoughts I once again looked at the Rex and could clearly see slash marks on the side of its body. The slashes didn't look like claw slashes but instead like something a weapon would do. This could mean that this Rex was fighting with humans which may mean I could be in a bad spot if I don't get stronger quicker.
The Rex seemed like it had lost a lot of blood and was quite weak. I assume that it roared to potentially scare away any of the smaller animals which would explain why it was so quite. But despite all of this the aura that it's exuding still scream danger.
I knew that I wouldn't have a better chance at killing a beast as powerful as this and gain lots of power so I moved closer and closer until I was only a few meters away from it.
I assume that if it was in full healthy condition it probably would have sensed me long ago but right now it hasn't.
Here's the problem I'm facing though. Where do I start? I at the moment have the element of surprise so I could potentially deal I great deal of damage to it. Thinking about it I decided that I would try to attack it's neck where there is a slash mark while also going for a eye. I'm hoping to deepen the wound on the neck while taking out one of its eyes and that will greatly reduce its combat efficiency.
I quietly take my position and wait for the perfect chance to strike. I must have waited for 5 minutes before the opportunity finally came.
Dashing as fast as I could I ripped through the foliage and arrived at the Rex's side. Climbing down with my mouth onto the already exposed flesh I dug my teeth in as best I could. Swinging my claw I tried to take its eye out but I couldn't quite reach in time as the Rex quickly threw its head to the side brining me with it. However I still held open as I began to shake my own head left to right ripping flesh out.
The wound that is now a lot bigger is bleeding furiously and the Rex roared in pain. Although I'm still a small Godzilla I'm still quite powerful despite my size.
The quite forest was now filled with the sounds of agony, ripping flesh and splashing blood as the battle continued on for a 20 minutes. The Rex tried everything it could to get me off but I never let go of my grip. I never let go of my grip but it doesn't mean I came out unscathed.
The Rex has slammed my body against trees, boulders and had even thrown its own body onto me. I didn't suffer major injuries but it will still leave me sore in the morning.
After the amount of blood the Rex had lost the light slowly faded in its eyes as it slowly lost strength before falling limp to the ground. If the Rex had been in perfect condition I wouldn't have won this fight but I'll take what I can get.
When I was sure that it had been killed I began I eat the Rex. I saved the stone for last as it may tip me over into the next stage of growth.
The stronger the creature the tastier the meat is. At meats that's what I'm assume because DAMN this meat is delicious!
I don't really remember much but I think I may have a food baby. Grabbing the stone in satisfaction as I walked back to my home before digesting the stone itself. This stone may take me into the next stage of growth so let's find out.
