With the 5,000 barbarians all charging forward, Commander Allan knew that this battle would dictate who the winner and the loser is. So when the barbarians came in the range of the archers he immediately yells, "Shoot! Shoot them all down! Don't let a single one of them enter the city!"
A volley of arrows travel in the air and came down towards the barbarians mercilessly.
"Aahh!"
"Forward! Kill them all!" even with his men getting killed by the archers, Khof didn't care and just ordered them to continue forward. He knew that he couldn't back out right now. There is no need for planning, he will use their numbers to overwhelm and breakthrough the city.
Boom!
The wooden gate that was just built was destroyed by the barbarians. And a large number of barbarians came running inside the city.
However, they were blocked by the footmen who stood proud unmoving.
"Run through them!" Khof wielding his huge axe charge forward riding his strong horse. "Bastards! Die for me!"
With his rank BBB warrior strength, Khof swings his huge axe towards his enemies. The footmen who were pushing back the barbarians were blown away by the huge force from the swing. With the gap in strength, the footmen were injured and bleed to the side. Even the iron armor was cleaved by the huge axe. This just shows how powerful Khof was.
Seeing that the footmen couldn't hold Khof at all. Lori was still calm, he raises his hands to signal something.
Khof who was mercilessly cleaving his way in was surprised. Because the formation of the soldiers in front of him suddenly break and the soldiers retreated inside. Even the archers who were in the city wall stop firing their arrows and disappeared.
"Great! The enemy had retreated! Enter the city and kill everyone you see!" Khof's confidence rise up when he noticed that his enemy was retreating. Putting the huge axe in his shoulder, he added, "Anyone who can find and bring the lord of the city to me will receive a huge amount of gold and will also become my new right-hand man!"
The barbarians who heard Khof's voice immediately rush through the nearby houses and tents. Forget about the gold coins, just being the right-hand man of Khof is already a very good thing for them. Not only will they be able to stand beside him, but they also will be able to showcase their strength to others and gain their respect.
The barbarians who entered the houses and tents when they came out, there was a puzzled expression in their face.
A barbarian runs towards Khof and said worriedly, "Lord Khof, the houses we checked were all empty. As is there's no one living there"
Another barbarian came with the same problem, "Lord Khof, there is nothing in the houses. Even the tables and chairs were gone"
When he heard the words of his men, a thoughtful expression appear on his face. He then turns behind him and stares at the destroyed city gate. Almost all the barbarians were already inside the city. There is just a small number of them outside.
An ominous feeling rises from his heart as he looks around him. Khof suddenly felt that the atmosphere turned cold for some reason.
Bzzz!
Khof felt a vibration in the air and a strong burst of unknown power came crushing to his body. His vision started to shake and his whole body trembled. Using the huge axe as a support, Khof barely manages to stand alone.
Thud!
Thud!
Thud!
One by one, the barbarians inside the city fall to the ground losing their consciousness. Khof didn't have any time to worry about them as he saw a figure walking towards him. His eyes were full of hate and fear as he watched the figure walk closer to him.
Never in his dreams that he would think that this would happen to him. He knew he was powerful and he was confident with his ability.
"Lori Silverwing" Khof muttered as he glared at the young man in front of him. This brat who looks tender defeated him in this war. His trusted man dies in the hands of the servant of this young man who looks very weak.
"We meet again Lord Khof, I guess this would be the end of this battle," Lori said with contempt as he looked down at Khof who was about to fall in his knees.
The reason that he did it like this was because he needed the barbarians that Khof brought with him. While they were in war against these barbarians, Lori realized how they lacked many powers in the city. Especially to the mines in the south of the city. The lack of iron in the city was one of the reasons why there are few soldiers and guards here. And even some of the soldiers didn't have enough proper equipment.
So Lori planned not to kill all the barbarians, but to capture them and send them to the mine. To make sure that the barbarians would be obedient, Lori already prepared a huge number of slave contracts for the barbarians. Of course Lori also has a slave contract prepared for Khof.
It will be a waste to kill such a powerful man. He still has some use in him that Lori will be able to exploit.
Taking out a brown scroll from his sleeves, Lori unfolded it and a strange symbol was written at the center. Lori nodded his head and Crocodile suddenly appeared behind Khof holding the man's hand.
"This, what are you planning to do to me? You damn brat just kill me if you want! I won't be your slave, you f*cking bastard!"
"Son of a b*tch get off of me!" Even though he grew up in the mountains away from the city. Khof knew what the scroll is, it was basically a slave contract. With a single drop of blood, anyone could just suddenly become somebody's slave.
Khof's face is full of hatred and panic as he tries to break free from Crocodile's holding. But he wasn't successful as his palm was cut by the golden hook and blood started to come out. His face suddenly turns pale as he knew that he will now lose his freedom if he becomes a slave.
"Stop! Stop! Stop! Don't do this! I promise you I will become your dog, just don't use a slave contract!" You know it's real when he shouted stop three times. Khof was already sweating profusely as all the veins in his body bulged out.
"That is also possible," Lori said slowly, "But didn't you think of it as a dog, I need to put a leash on you so that you won't just run around everywhere?"
After that, Crocodile presses Khof's hands in the slave contract. When the blood touches the symbol in the scroll, Khof's appearance immediately becomes twisted. Several runes came up from his hands to his body up to his face. This was the power of the slave contract, a curse that binds not only the body, but also the soul of those who become a slave.
I just finish the whole war like this because I wanna write the next volume. So if you feel that it was very lacking, well you're right about that.
Ha ha ha!
Also, for the next summon that I said in the previous chapter. Most of your suggestions, I didn't even know who they are. Especially those who suggested from the Fate and DxD franchise and many more. Wow, I guess I would need to wiki them one by one.
