WuQi Pov:
"Young man, we need to talk to you in private." A man with a beard grabbed my arm and pulled me outside of the clinic.
"Sir, what do you want from me?" My fingers began to fidget. I avoided looking at the man's eyes.
"Do you know this man?" The man showed me a drawing of Yin ZiNuo. My heart started to race. How did they manage to find out that quickly? I hope they didn't find out I helped him escape with his partner. Most importantly, I can't let them search the clinic.
"No, sir." I looked him in the eye to assure him.
"Mind if we search the clinic?"
"The owner isn't currently at the clinic, so I cannot let you in and search the clinic, and without a warrant search, you can't search a place."
"Commoners like you that know too much about the law are such a bother. Can't I just search the place and get my job done?"
"I also recall that if you continue and decide to search the clinic without a warrant card, you will go to jail for a few days. I also heard their meals are terrible and lack nutrition. You don't want to stay there for a few days, especially with rats too, right?"
"Young man, are you trying to threaten me right now?"
"No, no, sir. I was trying to inform you. I'm trying to help you the best way a citizen here can."
"You're lucky this time. Next time I come back, I will have a warrant." The man let go of my arm and walked away. Man, that was a close call. If I get in trouble, Mr. Ye will be in big trouble. What can a grandpa possibly do when his clinic is shut down? I don't want anyone else that I care for to die because of me.
YuHan Pov:
"Wow, look out how crowded the streets here are, YuHan."
"Don't get distracted."
"The place is more crowded than the capital."
"We will have plenty of time to look around. So, for now, we have to get to the Su Sect and settle down."
"Understood, Bai gongzi," he smiled at me.
We arrived at the front doors of Su Sect. Two guards were guarding the entrance. "Do you have an appointment or something you want from the Su Sect?" one of the guards asked.
"Tell your master that Bai YuHan is here." The guard nodded his head and left his partner outside while he went in.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and someone familiar greeted me. "Bai gongzi is here! Welcome, welcome!" the man smiled.
"Li Uncle, it's been a long time," I bowed.
"These two are new guards. They probably don't recognize you. So I'm sorry for the wait. It also seems like you brought a friend with you this time."
"This is Li uncle, and this my friend-" I was interrupted.
"My surname is Mo, just call me Mo gongzi, Li uncle."
"Master Su is waiting in the living room as of now. Let's get going now, young fellows," Uncle Li smiled. We followed Uncle Li to the living room. Master Su was sitting there enjoying tea.
"Xiao Han is here." Master Su placed his cup down.
"Su uncle, greetings to you," I bowed.
"Su Master, greetings to you!" ZiNuo bowed and smiled.
"You brought a friend with you this time, YuHan."
"Yes, meet my friend Mo gongzi. He happens to be a friend that I made when I traveled here."
"Oh, well, nice to meet you, Mo gongzi. You should meet my son YiHan. He wouldn't mind making another friend. YiHan also misses you a lot, YuHan. He keeps talking about you every day. Ever since he knew you would come here to visit this year." More like he misses fighting with me. He never wins, and it gets annoying when he can barely manage to get a scratch on me. ZiNuo looked at me like he was trying to get an answer from me.
"Tell YiHan I will see him soon." Uncle Su smiled at me.
"Li GuanJia (translation: housekeeper), brought Xiao Han and Mo gongzi to their rooms. Xiao Han and Mo gongzi, enjoy your stay here. Mo gongzi, you can feel free to look around the Su Sect too," uncle Su smiled, dismissing them from the living room.
On our way to the guest rooms, ZiNuo kept looking at me with a confused face. His mouth shut but seemed to want to open and start spilling words out of his mouth. "Do you have anything to say?" I asked.
"Who's YiHan?"
"He's close enough to be a cousin, but he's not blood-related to me. He's the guy I mentioned before."
"Oh, the guy you said that was more anno-" I covered his mouth with my hand.
"Shhh, you don't want that to slip. Especially with uncle Li here."
"I'll talk to you when we get to the guest rooms then," he smiled as he tried to cover it with his hand.
We arrived at the guest rooms. "Here are the two rooms. Make yourself as comfortable as possible. We have servants to change the sheets and clean the rooms when you two go outside and explore the town. Just make sure to tell me when you two are out. I'll take my leave now. Enjoy your stay!" Uncle Li walked away, leaving the two of us here.
"So YiHan is that annoying person that you mentioned?" I nodded in response. "What makes him more annoying than me?"
"YiHan loves to interrupt my peace. When there's no conflict, he tries his best to start one. He wants to beat me at everything. He still doesn't give up after countless times challenging me. He even tried to find things that I didn't know how to do. But in the end, it leads to countless defeats."
"I could give this guy a never-giving-up medal. I would not be able to handle the humiliation of losing to you once or even multiple times," he laughed.
"Do you want to come with me to my special place here?" My eyes landed on his eyes.
"Why not."
A new chapter again!! Sorry for any mistakes!
