"Gu Yue, it's time." Wu Zhangkong called out to the girl.
Xiu Ye glanced over his shoulder to see Wu Zhangkong and a combat ready Xie Xie by his side before turning back down towards Gu Yue.
"Well, looks like you're getting called." He said as he pulled her up.
Gu Yue nodded at Wu Zhangkong and turned to glance Xiu Ye, she still had many questions about him but decided to just stay quiet about it for the moment. This wasn't the time for that.
Xiu Ye watched as she walked past him without a word and stopped in front of Wu Zhangkong and Xie Xie, then, she and the latter started a mock battle.
Which Gu Yue had won easily by showing her martial soul to use six elements: fire, water, earth, wind, space and light. She had hidden her darkness element.
As for the reason why? Xiu Ye could only guess, the same reason as him, that she hid it because she wanted it as a trump card for the future.
After she won, Gu Yue then joined the rest of the class five into running followed by a depressed looking Xie Xie.
Time passes and it was time for lunch.
"I'm dead." Xie Xie groaned in despair as his back slowly slid down one of the walls in the cafeteria, his tray of food left by his side.
"I feel so alive~" Tang Wulin instead, was moaning in delight as he indulged himself with a small mountain of buns, stacked in a single tray, into his mouth.
Xiu Ye flatly stared at his cousin before looking away, eating his own lunch in silence while pretending that he didn't know them.
Just as he was eating, Xiu Ye felt something bumped into his right shoulder, slightly jolting him, he turned his head to his right to see a familiar face.
"Hi." Gu Yue dryly said as she stood besides him, a food tray on her hands that only had buns on it. She was still feeling uneasy besides him but due to certain reasons, she had to get to know him.
The feeling wasn't mutual however, as Xiu Ye greeted her with an easy going smile. "Hey, having a great time with our school?"
Gu Yue shrugged, "Eh, so-so. The class seems fine to me, the school looks good as well, but the cafeteria here needs a table and chairs for us to sit on and eat correctly."
Xiu Ye nodded. "Yup, we share the same sentiment. Even if this school tries to make itself as a military academy to further discipline the students, that doesn't make it that we shouldn't be provided with a table and chairs to eat. What if we forget how to eat on a table?"
Gu Yue smiled at the small joke, feeling slightly less uncomfortable with him.
Xie Xie finally felt better, as he glanced at her, "Oi, do you have the stamina of a bull? How come you aren't as dead tired like the rest of us?"
Gu Yue rolled her eyes, "You sure? Aren't you talking only yourself who's dead tired? How embarrassing that a boy is easily exhausted than a girl, oh how I pity your future partner."
Xie Xie glared at her with anger and flushed cheeks, how could she say something so embarrassing without blushing herself?! Is she a pervert?
"Ow! Why would you kick me?!"
"I just felt like you were insulting me, so I kicked you. What? Got a problem?" Gu Yue narrowed her eyes down at Xie Xie who was rubbing his kicked right leg.
"..." Xie Xie gulped and shook his head. Girl's intuition is scary!
Xiu Ye chuckled at their interaction. He looked up and saw that it was almost time for afternoon classes. "Well guys, it's almost time for your afternoon classes. You better hurry up Wulin."
Tang Wulin nodded and started devouring buns much faster, it looked like his mouth turned into a vacuum and he was just sucking buns in without any issues.
Xie Xie and Gu Yue both stared at him speechlessly, is he even human? Both wondered to themselves as they hurriedly ate their own lunch meal.
Xiu Ye leisurely ate his meal in a slow pace, thanking his fast thinking of getting that special privilege from Cen Yue. Truth be told, he wouldn't have really gotten such a pass if he was in class five as it would been more interesting being taught be Wu Zhangkong than being bored by the other classes but alas.
After they all ate lunch, they went their separate ways. While the trio had to back to their class, Xiu Ye decided to go at the workshop to both cultivate and start trying to forge a mecha or iron man suit.
"You're late!" Mu Xi loudly stated with a frustrated voice, she was standing proudly with her arms crossed beneath her bust behind of a familiar workshop door.
Xiu Ye's lips twitched.
'Why is this princess here?!'
Xiu Ye smiled dryly, "Mu Xi, why are you here?"
Mu Xi raised an eyebrow, stared down at Xiu Ye like he was an idiot for asking, and said. "You said, "when I need help, I would have to just come here", so yeah. I'm here cause I need some advice on my blacksmithing skills."
Xiu Ye pinched his temples. "No, I know why you're here, what I want to know is why are you here at this time? Isn't it still your afternoon classes? You shouldn't skip class just to go here." 'Plus, I don't want either of your parents getting piss at me for making you skip class, especially your dad.'
Instead of looking shameful or embarrassed, Mu Xi instead posed with her hands on her hips, her mouth opened into a smug wide grin and said. "Oh you don't have to worry about that, I asked my dad to give me special privileges as well."
Xiu Ye mouth dropped in surprise. "And your dad actually gave you special privileges?!"
Mu Xi's lips twitched. "Well, not at first, it took an hour of puppy eyes and reminding him that I stand at the top of my class, academically wise, to make him give me one... Anyways, can we get inside now? I've been standing here for an hour waiting for you."
Xiu Ye raised an eyebrow. "From what I hear, you inherited your father's martial soul right? Shining Sun, that's the name of your martial soul? Shouldn't it make you much more resistant to fire and heat than normal people?"
Mu Xi nodded. "True, standing here with the sun's heat on me has no negative effects, instead, it helps my cultivation. But standing here for so long is just tiring, look at my legs! They're trembling..." Looking at those creamy white soft legs, Xiu Ye can see them trembling.
Xiu Ye let out a sigh and nodded, he walked to the doors of the workshop, opened them, and let him and Mu Xi in.
Inside was a futuristic looking factory set up; this was the first floor where the forging table, anvil, materials and other blacksmithing stuff are stored. The entire floor is 12 meters high, and 7 meters wide of both sides. The entire walls of the building are completely made out of hundred refined alloyed metals, which Xiu Ye analyzed as Heavy Silver and Titanium metal alloy, making the entire building extremely durable that even a Soul King, without a battle armor, would have trouble trying to dent it.
The building was two stories tall, with the second floor is where the master bedroom, two guest rooms, a kitchen and living room. The only way up to the second floor and the rooftop is by the stairway at the end of the floor.
The floors on both floors are also made out of the same material, and although the materials used to make this building is incredible, the design within it is dull. The walls are entirely white and the floors are grey, clearly showing that Mang Tian didn't even bother painting the workshop.
Xiu Ye moved towards the forging table with Mu Xi following him raptly, not really bothered with the dull and boring looking room around her. In fact, she would be surprised if this forging workshop was designed. Blacksmiths are known for their aloofness and dedication to their work, to the point of not caring for the world around them.
Xiu Ye stopped in front of a forging table, causing Mu Xi to stop a dozen inches away from his back.
He did a complete 180 and stared straight at Mu Xi, "Alright, you want my help? Fine. But you gotta do something for me in return."
"Name it, I did say I was going to do whatever you say except for when it comprises my principles and morals." Mu Xi said.
"Call me teacher–"
"No." Mu Xi instantly denied, it was one thing getting help from someone younger than you, it's another to call them teacher. She has her pride!
Xiu Ye raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say that you would do anything except comprising your principles and morals? Are you really going back on your word?"
"I-I..." Mu Xi gritted her teeth in irritation, although calling him teacher isn't technically going against her principles and morals... nevertheless, it's so embarrassing!
She lowered her head down, her golden bangs shadowed her eyes from Xiu Ye's view.
Xiu Ye felt bad for making the girl this uncomfortable for a little joke he was doing, and was about to say something when he heard Mu Xi whispered words.
"T-Teacher..."
"Sorry, uh, could you repeat that louder? I think I misheard you saying–"
"I said, teacher!" Mu Xi said it out loud this time, her face flushed from embarrassment. God, what would happen if her dad saw her telling someone much younger than her, 'teacher'?
"Please, help me get stronger..." Tears started to appear on the bottom end of her eyelashes.
"..." Xiu Ye's lips twitched.
