Silva POV
It's almost the weekend, and right now, I am watching Summer and Raven bicker once more.
Summer: YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST TOLD TAI YOU DID NOT LOVE HIM, AND YOU ONLY MARRIED HIM SO YANG WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BASTARD CHILD!
Raven: YOU KNOW HE IS AN OVERGROWN MAN CHILD AND IF I DID THAT HE WOULD HAVE DONE EVERYTHING HE CAN TO MAKE ME STAY!
Summer: I WILL GRANT YOU THAT, BUT YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST TALKED TO YANG WHEN SHE GOT OLDER, ESPECIALLY WHEN I WENT AWAY TO FACE SALEM FOR 10 YEARS AGO! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON YOU GOING BACK TO BEING A BANDIT AND ADOPTING SILVA!
Raven: IT KEPT ME OFF THE GRID, SO NEITHER TAI NOR OZPIN COULD FIND ME WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO HAPPEN! AS FOR SILVA HE...
I sighed and rubbed my temple as they continued until their voices grew horse from arguing. As they panted, I offered them a drink for their sore throats and told them.
Silva: Okay, you two, I need your attention for starters; Summer, I am bringing Ruby and Yang over, so are you ready to meet them?
Summer nodded and said.
Summer: I'm ready as I will ever be.
I shifted my focus to Raven and asked.
Silva: Raven, I plan on telling Yang my relation to you, and I would appreciate it if you were around as well.
Raven frowned a bit, then said.
Raven: Fine, but I am doing this because you asked but don't expect me to take any tantrums from Yang on the matter.
Silva: So long as you are here and are willing to answer Yang's question, which she will undoubtedly ask, that is more than enough. Of course, leaving out Salem and Ozpin's shadow war because that is a lot to swallow.
Summer then commented.
Summer: I still find it weird that Raven is listening to you despite her being your adoptive mother, and should it not be the other way around.
Raven and I shared a knowing look and just shrugged together, not minding our current positions towards one another. Raven respected my strength when I was younger, and I have gotten strong enough to face Salem by myself and win. While I never really viewed Raven as my mother in any other aspect than a caretaker, and that is putting the term caretaker loosely. So overall, we are comfortable with our current power dynamic, but I still find Raven one of the most attractive women I know and aim for her.
That, however, is for a later date as I need to deal with my and Yang's future fallout first. I felt a headache coming but better to deal with it sooner than rather later; I sighed and opened a portal to my room at Beacon.
( A few hours later)
Everyone has gathered in my room after classes, and before I opened a portal back to the castle, I told Ruby and Yang.
Silva: Ruby, Yang, mind staying for a bit? I need to talk to both of you in private, and the rest of you, can you give us a little privacy.
Yang: Sure, but what's up, Silva?
Ruby: What do you need to talk to us about, Silva? Can't Blake and Weiss stay? We are a team, after all.
I sighed as I opened a portal for everyone else and said.
Silva: It's for your ears only, Ruby, Yang.
The other teams looked like they have questions but kept quiet and respected my request for privacy, and went through the portal. Weiss and Blake stayed behind, and they said.
Weiss: Surely, you can tell us as well as we are their teammates.
Blake: As much as it grates my nerves, I agree with Weiss here.
I pinched the bridge of my nose and told them.
Silva: Look, Ruby and Yang can tell you later if they want to, but right now, it's better to do this privately, so I ask you once more. Please, just give us a little privacy for this matter.
The two of them frown, and Ruby then comments.
Ruby: Come on, guys, this looks like it is a big deal to Silva, so just hear him out and Yang, and I can tell you later as he said.
Weiss: Fine...
Blake: Okay.
The two of them went through the portal to the others, and I closed it then focused on the sisters in front of me. I told them vaguely.
Silva: There are some people I want you to meet, like my adoptive mother and one other person.
Yang: Geez, Silva wanting me to meet your mom already, and we aren't even dating yet.
Yang joked while Ruby looked confused by this, and I opened a portal and told them, feeling slightly nervous.
Silva: Just humor me for a bit, okay.
The sisters looked at one another, and I went through the portal, hoping they follow me. As my surroundings changed to an isolated part of the castle far from the others, Ruby and Yang soon came through.
Yang: Okay, Silva, so where is this mysterious person you want us to meet along with your mom.
Summer showed up with Raven following behind her, and Summer called out quietly.
Summer: Yang, Ruby.
Ruby was the first to react and tackle her mother with her semblance Petal Burst.
Ruby: MOM!
Ruby started to break down in tears of happiness and asked.
Ruby: Is it really you?
Summer: It is me, my little Rosebud.
While Ruby was hugging her mother to death, Yang's eyes are glued on Raven that flickered between her usual lilac irises and red blazing red. She walked over to Raven mechanically and asked.
Yang: Why are you here, now of all times?
Raven: You can thank your foster brother for that.
Raven gestured towards me, and Yang looked at me in a mix of confusion and betrayal.
Yang: Brother!?
I simply nodded, and Yang started to accuse me.
Yang: You knew!?
Silva: Yes.
Yang: And you kept quiet about it!?
Silva: Yes.
Yang: WAS THIS ALL SOME SORT OF SICK GAME OR JOKE TO YOU!? YOU KNEW I WAS LOOKING FOR HER, AND YET YOU NOT ONLY KNEW HOW TO FIND BUT YOU ARE ALSO MY BROTHER NOW!
As Yang's eyes turned red and her aura blazed, I replied.
Silva: What did you expect me to say? Hi, I am the guy your mother who abandoned you adopted, and that makes us siblings.
Yang just bellowed in a fury and charged at me with her fists raised and punched me. I did not dodge or block her fist as I just waited for her to run out of steam. She kept on hitting me as I left myself open, using only aura to protect myself from harm; after attacking me, none stop for a full 5 minutes. She panted and demanded with tears in her eyes.
Yang: JUST WHY? WHY NOW OF ALL TIMES?
She then turned to Raven and also demanded her voice full of hurt.
Yang: YOU LEFT ME AND FOUND SOMEONE TO REPLACE ME, WHY!?
Raven kept silent as she had no good answer to that question, and Summer came up to comfort Yang. This was the last straw as Yang broke down in tears, and Ruby joined in on comforting Yang. I sighed, feeling that this is going to be a long weekend.
( Several hours later)
Yang and Ruby reconnected with Summer while Raven and I gave them some space. I led Raven to one of bars I have at the castle, and we started drinking together to pass the time. I gave Raven a Mistral Hot Day, a mixed drink made from spiced wine from Mistral, some lemon juice, honey, and a lemon peel garnish in a tall glass. For me, just Brandy on the rocks.
As I nurse my drink, letting a mild but pleasant buzz take me, Raven commented sarcastically.
Raven: Well, that went better than expected.
Silva: It went about as I expected, and I am fine with that. I now need to give Yang some time, so she is at least a little willing to hear my apology later on.
I took a sip of my brandy as it blasted my tongue with a slightly fruity but mostly robust flavor of alcohol. Raven then asked me.
Raven: Now what?
Silva: I would appreciate it if you stuck around for Yang, but you are free to do as you wish.
Raven: Free to do as I wish, huh.
Raven drank her drink and got closer to me, and said.
Raven: Those words of yours can be taken in many ways. I could seek vengeance on you for destroying the Branwen Tribe, just turn and run as I have done in the past, but I have something else in mind.
I looked at her, interested in what she meant, and she leaned in and kissed me, which I returned. We tried to dominate one another, then we split, and I told her flatly.
Silva: Raven, no. At least not yet until the Yang situation is dealt with.
Raven snorted and said.
Raven: I know you well enough that you don't like leave things unresolved before moving on, and I can wait until Yang gets over her temper tantrum. However, I know you always looked at me as a woman and never as a mother or similar capacity.
Silva: And here I thought I was subtle all those years.
I commented in sarcasm and finished the last of my drink, then kissed Raven in return. I bade her good night and went off to bed.
Silva: Sleep well, Raven, because the family drama continues tomorrow.
Raven sighed and finished her drink in one go, then head off to her room at the castle.
( The following morning)
I woke up feeling a hangover hitting me like a jackhammer and forced myself out of my bed. I went to my bathroom to rinse my face to wake me up, and after that, I went to check on Summer and her daughters. Yawning as I knocked on the door to Summer's room and the door opened, revealing Yang, her irises immediately turned red in rage and said with venom.
Yang: What?
I ignored her attitude and replied simply.
Silva: Breakfast.
Yang huffed and slammed the door closed. I soon heard Summer lecture Yang through the door.
Summer: Yang, was that necessary?
Yang: But he-.
Summer cut her off and told her.
Summer: You may have a reason to be angry, Yang, but Silva had a reason to keep his secrets until now.
I went off to the dining hall, not caring about how Summer lectured Yang as dealing with my hangover takes priority right now. I saw everyone in the dining hall, including Raven and Coco, who was the first person to come up to and ask.
Coco: Silva, who is that?
Silva: My adoptive mother, so play nice.
Everyone overheard me and shouted, making my hangover hurt more.
Everybody: YOUR MOTHER!
I winced and went to the kitchen to whip something for my hangover. I started scrounging around and put together a quick bite that is unappetizing but works wonders for hangovers. I felt my hangover lessen slightly, and I heard Weiss screech.
Weiss: WHAT!?
I sigh and thinking this is going to be a long weekend once more, and went to deal with the extended drama. I reentered the dining hall and saw Ruby hugging her mother's arm and Yang glaring at her birth mother. Everyone looked at me with various expressions, mostly curious. Weiss then asked me with a critical look.
Weiss: Silva, is it true?
Silva: Weiss, you are going to have to be specific.
Weiss: That you and Yang have the same mother!
Silva: In a matter of speaking, yes.
I sat down, and the robot chefs gave me a small tower of waffles with maple syrup. I started to dig in, not minding the stares I'm getting when Weiss became the most vocal one.
Weiss: Why are you eating like this does not concern you!?
I swallowed my first couple of bites of waffles and replied.
Silva: It does not bother me, but if it bothers you, I apologize in advance.
As I devoured my waffles, I heard Velvet ask me.
Velvet: Um, Silva, is this manner you wanted to talk to Ruby and Yang about?
Silva: Pretty much.
I finished my breakfast quickly and looked towards the three teams plus others, and said.
Silva: If you have questions, go ahead and ask now or forever hold your peace.
After over an hour of questions and answers, I spent my time in one of the foyers by myself, looking through my scroll. As I browsed the net looking fir anything interesting when I heard Emerald called out to me.
Emerald: Silva...
Silva: Hmm.
I looked at her as I hummed in reply. She sat across from me and started to babble a bit.
Emerald: Look, I don't care about you and your family drama, but I do care about you, and I, ah... Okay, I really don't what to say in this situation; I mean, I got your back but well...
I gave her a sincere smile and said.
Silva: Em, thanks, really.
Emerald blushed a bit and said.
Emerald: You're welcome.
I changed from my chair to a nearby couch and patted the seat next to me, and Emerald got the message and sat next to me. I wrapped my arm around her waist, and she laid her head on my shoulder. We enjoy each other's company as time went on until Ruby showed and practically tackled me.
Ruby: Silva, thank you, mom told me that you helped her.
Silva: Sure, no problem.
I noticed Emerald looked more than a little crossed with Ruby for interrupting our sweet moment.
Emerald: Ruby!
Emerald growled and gave Ruby the stink eye, which Ruby obliviously did not notice. Ruby then asked me an uncomfortable question.
Ruby: I notice that mom has been evading my questions or vaguely answered them about where she has been for the past ten years and where you found her. Why?
I sighed and told her.
Silva: I can tell you it's complicated, but I will tell you instead that I won't tell you unless I absolutely have to, and I have my reasons that I also won't tell you.
Ruby stared into my eyes for a few moments and asked.
Ruby: Will you ever tell me?
Silva: Only if you are unlucky enough to get wrapped up in certain circumstances that caused Summer to be unable to get in touch with you or Yang.
Ruby: Okay, I understand, but I am just happy to have mom back, so thanks again.
Well, at least Ruby is willing to talk to me, but Yang is going to take a while.
