章節 12: The Journey Begins
Having formed an alliance, Yuri and Tobi set off with enough provisions to last them a week. Everyone in Daisuki wishes them luck and they go. A short distance from the gate, however, they see Kyra.
Yuri: "Oh? You've come to give me a special farewell?"
Kyra: "Please… Take me with you!!!"
Yuri: "HUH?!"
Kyra: "Take me with you. I'll follow you wherever you go. Please take me."
Yuri: Laughs "You'd go with a strange guy you just met not too long ago? I don't know if your dad would approve."
Kyra: "I'm not joking. I want to repay my debt to you for saving my life."
Tobi: "I believe what he's trying to say is that this journey is too dangerous for someone like you."
Kyra: "Tobi. It won't be."
She pulls out a knife to show she can protect herself and starts arguing with Tobi over whether or not she is strong enough to go.
Yuri: "Enough you two. Kyra, you seem like you'd be good company, but I can't put you in danger like this. I mean, I just saved your life It'd be a shame if something should happen to you so soon after."
Kyra: "But…"
Yuri: "No buts" He moves closer to her. "Look, I'm sure we'll see each other again, but right now, I need someone to take care of this place for me. Can I trust you with this?"
Kyra: Sighs "You're not gonna let me choose, are you?"
Yuri smiles. Kyra walks over to him and kisses him on the cheek then walks away.
Kyra: "Go save the world then. But make sure that when you're done you come back and save me too."
Tobi: "Hey, what about my kiss? I helped too you know."
Kyra: "Shut up Tobi."
Yuri laughs then sets off with Tobi.
Tobi: "By the way, I told her that what we were gonna do would be dangerous, but what exactly are we gonna do?"
Yuri: "We're gonna change things. The state of your country was proof that something is wrong with this world, but the Tanko were just small fries. There's a lot of corruption in this world and the guys with the power to change things are either involved in the corruption or they just wanna line their pockets. So, I decided to become a major player. Someone who can protect people with just his name."
Tobi: "Sounds like a big goal for the two of us who are small fries ourselves. How do you plan to accomplish this?"
Yuri: "Speak for yourself small fry. Anyway, I kind of have an idea. And there's someone I want to find too."
Tobi: "Hmmm"
Yuri: "I'll tell you more, but first, let's eat."
Yuri stops and takes out some food.
Tobi: "Hey!!! We just left you know."
Yuri: "Calm down. Don't you know the saying?"
Tobi: "What saying?"
Yuri: "Eat whenever you can…" He starts eating.
Tobi: "That's it? Why did I even ask? Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
The both start eating.
Tobi: "Anyway there's something I've been meaning to ask you about. You seem like a guy who would know."
Yuri: "Hmmmm."
