章節 123: V9 Ch 4: The plane to Italy.
Airfield in Britain.
"I still can't believe you thought I was afraid of airplanes." James says walking right in "I appreciate the free alcohol though."
"I can't believe he out drank the super solider." Bucky says
"What happened again? I still have a pounding headache." Dum Dum Dugan says walking in to the plane.
"So the file said we are sharing the plane?" Sandstorm asks.
"That would be us." an older man says easily in his 50s maybe even 60s
"What are you doing dropping behind enemy lines?" Gabe says shocked that an old man would willingly go to war.
"What's your unit?" Cap asks a little concerned.
"We are the Monuments Men or that's what some
Call us. I am George L. Stout. Well men come on introduce yourselves."

"Ralph Warner Hammett"
"Robert K. Posey"
"Walter Hancock"
"Lincoln Kirstein"
"Ronald E. Balfour"
(A/n sorry if I missed one kinda going through handwritten scanned documents from the American Smithsonian online archive. Haven't done something like that since I went through the online nasa archive. They are really old websites.)
"Have any of you guys shot a gun before?" Pinky Pinkerton asks
"I have, I was commissioned in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps before I was sent to interview recruits. And now I'm here. Preparing to drop into Italy behind enemy lines to save art work that is priceless." Ronald says
"I could drink to that" Victor says pulling a flask out of who knows where.
"Captain they have a map table wanna go over the plan again?" Jim asks knowing several of the people here were too drunk to remember it from last night.
"Well these guys are dropping in on Rome." Steve says pointing at the monument men.
"However we are dropping in farther north. Probably by Bologna where we will commandeer a car and head towards the hydra base here in the mountains." Steve says
"I still don't see why Russia wouldn't let us borrow their Antonov A-40." Sandstorm says
"You realized when we asked to borrow that they started hunting for a spy right?" Steve asks not knowing how this girl knew about a secret flying tank plan.
"But only a B-17 would be able to tow it. Russian planes wouldn't handle the load without shaking and destabilizing the bomber." Sandstorm says again.
"Considering the fact those bombers will not be main use for another year it's also a surprise you knew about it... the Americans started checking for spies as well." Steve says wishing he knew the endless trouble the girl would cause.
"But the test flight was in 1938! It's not that secret. We should hurry up and upgrade from the B-25s." Sandstorm says again.

Several hours later Sandstorm is woken up from the side door opening.
"This is our drop zone. Good luck on your mission Captain America." One of the Monument men says before jumping out.
"Do you guys remember the mission objectives?" Steve asks the group now that they are alone.
"Destroy base, collect information, and steal as much technology as we can." Sandstorm
Says
"Stark also wants whatever was powering those energy cartridges." Steve says
"40 mins to drop zone. Watch out cause cloud coverage is a bit low." The copilot says back towards us.
"Thanks" Bucky says
"Hey... Umm I could I have your guys autographs for my kid?" The copilot asks.
"Sure"Steve says and Signs it passing it around to be signed by everyone.

38 minutes later
"We should be over the drop zone now." Copilot
"Remember rendezvous is at the church." Steve says before jumping out.
Followed by Sandstorm who didn't have a parachute.
"You guys noticed that right? She's going to die." Happy Sam says
"She seemed to know what she was doing." James says
"I prefer the parachute though." Victor says knowing he and James also don't really need one either.
