CHAPTER 1
THE PARTY was tonight, kasama niya si Trevor na pupunta sa party. Trevor had been stressing himself and she want to at-lease give him a time to have a break and to rest. Gusto niya tulungan si Trevor bilang kaibigan niya at kasama niya rin pala sa Teagan, Pollux is expecting her at ayaw niya naman na paasahin si Pollux na bigla nalang siyang hindi darating and for the record. She keep promise and she don't let a promise down. It will be tonight but right now, she's in the ice cream parlour with Teagan.
After the moment she saw Migo, she couldn't stop thinking and worrying about her then this woman came at the parlour. She was beautiful and she remember seeing her with Migo that day at the cafe.
She's beautiful. "She's a model in what I know, I have been seen her around the magazines." Tumingin siya kay Teagan, she's a model? Well. She is a model. Sa ganda ba naman niyang 'yan, It's impossible that no one will take the chances to get her as a model and she's so beautiful and sexy.
Maybe that's why migo likes her? Because she's really beautiful. "She's Qianru Chou, Half Chinese." Hindi niya maintindihan bakit ganito ang nararamdaman niya that feeling of insecure all over her? Maybe, naiinggit siya na nakasama ni Qianru si Migo in that 3 years while she's away, siya ang nag alaga kay Migo sa nakaraang taon na wala siya dahil umalis siya. Kasalanan niya, that's her way of not letting him choose now naiinggit siya? Maybe, maybe Vayce was right. Hindi siya nagiisip.
Hindi siya nagisip! Now it's all to her why Migo went into accident and lose his memories. Those painful memories including to her, was gone.
She doesn't even exist anymore to his memory, to his mind. Anong magagawa niya? Wala. She can't trigger his mind because It will cause bleeding to his brain and It will be so painful, mas mahihirapan si Migo once she tried to focus on making him remember who she was. Why to trigger his mind if she can make him remember slowly, she can create a new memory with him. Even he doesn't know who she was before the moment they glance each other in that Coffee Shop! Can I do this?
"She's beautiful but you're more than her." Napatingin tuloy siya kay teagan and giving her a compliment like that makes her blush. "What? It's true that you have the goddess of beauty. For me you're beautiful than her and please, I have loyalty with you and you know that, Vera."
Tumawa siya. "Whatever you say, Teagan."
Well. She is really a beauty. Hindi niya maitatanggi sa sarili na maganda naman talaga siya and every man could see how beautiful she was and she want Migo to see the same thing.
Like, sana naman. She heavily gasped then matapos nila sa Ice Cream Parlour they went to the mall to bought some stuffs for the party later night, for Teagan lalo na may isusuot narin naman siya and It was on her condo-unit already. She had that dress- a dress that she can wear to the party.
Excited? Yun ang tanging nararamdaman niya at hindi niya narin alam kung anong magiging reaksyon na magagawa niya kapag nagkita na silang dalawa ni Migo, migo is the only man that makes her special and happy kaya naman iba rin ang pakiramdam niya lalo na ngayon. Migo doesn't even remember her, he will. Sana, sana isang araw maalala rin siya ni Migo yun lang ang tanging inaasahan niya sa lahay na isang araw maalala naman siya ng lalakeng pinakamamahal niya.
My husband. Asawa niya si migo kaya naman lahat ng makakaya niya gagawin niya para lang balikan siya ng ala ala na nawala sa utak ni migo. She doesn't know, siguro karma na niya 'to dahil iniwan niya si migo. Migo won't be get to that accident if she didn't left- maybe it's my fault?
Maybe. "Hey." Napatingin siy at si teagan na nasa harapan niya at mukhang kanina pa siya nagsasalita at kanina niya pa ito hindi pinapansin kaya nawala siya sa kawalan at bumalik lang ng tapikin nito ang balikat niya, ngumiti lang siya. "Does this looks good to me? I can't choose what to buy for the party later. Can you atlease help me?" Teagan asked.
She chuckles. "Sorry. Come on, let me help you with that clothes. Do you have another choices there? Let me see." Pinakita nito sakaniya ang ilang damit na napili sa sarili, It was beautiful. Lahat maganda but she wanted to choose one for just the party later kaya naman sinubukan niya ipasukan ang ilang sa mga ito and the final dress looks more elegant to her. "That's much better." She said in thumbs up.
"Okay. I'll be going to buy this." Aniya then umalis para bayaran ang damit habang inaantay niya naman ito na napatingin sa isang department, Migo. That's the only word that she can say through her mind at nakita niya na tumingin ito sakaniya may kasama ito ng mawala ang tingin sakaniya she automatically left the view and called teagan to leave. Ayaw niyang magkakilala sila sa paraang hindi tama. She saw him, finding and looking for her but she vanished quickly. She doesn't want to be seen by him.
"Hey. What's wrong?" Nagaalalang tanong naman ni Teagan sakaniya. She didn't say anything, ayaw niyang pati si teagan maguluhan. Teagan. She doesn't know anything about her past. Ni-wala itong alam na may asawa siya but she will tell her, maybe next time? "I saw that man."
She frowned. "Who.. who is that man?" Bumaling ito sakaniya. "Teagan.."
Soon is not qualified for her secrets. Kaibigan niya si teagan, si teagan ang nariyan sa tuwing kailangan niya ng kausap, kapag wala si Trevor. Teagan was the woman who keep beside her to listen with her feelings, her emotions and a lot of things that she have been through. All this years, nasasaktan siya sa naging desisyon na ngyari at ginawa niya. The decision of leaving her husband behind.
Bumuntong hininga siya. "That's Migo Bourne." Everyone knows the name of this businessman, kaya alam na siguro nito ang pangalan na nabanggit niya. "The migo bourne, who owns a huge companies? That businessman?" Tumango siya.
"He's my husband, we got married in Australia three years ago. Before I left him, but I found out he went into accident and he loss his memories. Traumatic memories including me leaving him behind."
She's still processing things. "So.. you're actually married when you came to canada? and Migo Bourne is your husband so, you're mrs. Bourne?"
Tumango siya. "That's shocking but why don't you want him to see you, are you scared?" Umiling naman siya agad. Hindi naman siya takot, but she just don't want them to meet each other at this time. It was reserve for later. "I don't want to spoil things right now, It was supposed to be in the party."
She formed a 'oh' and nods.
Naglakad sila at pinaguusapan si Migo habang naglalakad sila. "He's hot." She said na ikinatawa naman niya, Migo is always been the hottest man alive. The man of her dreams that she had. Sino ba naman ang hindi maakit at gugustuhin kung ang lalaking makakasama mo hindi lang mapagmahal at maalaga, maalaga rin at magaling sa kama? "What's on your mind?"
She smirks then binawi ang tanong. "But you know what, Don't answer it." Lalo siyang natawa at hinila nalang si Teagan sa isang shop. Teagan loves shopping which siguro ang isang bagay na gusto niya kay Teagan na kapag may shopping needs ka siya talaga ang kailangan mo dahil maalam siya sa lahat. "Let's shop some bags."
"I'd love that!" Excited ito na hinila siya agad sa isang store sa mall. She spend time at the mall with Teagan sinunda naman sila ni Trevor after at hinatid siya sa condo habang ang magkapatid umuwi sa Penthouse ng parents nila. Their parents had a Penthouse sa pilipinas since they use to have vacation in Philippines before so they bought a penthouse. Malapit lang so, she had to take a bath and fix herself. She wanted to have a bath tonight. Gusto niya ilubog ang sarili sa tubig habang namamahinga at nagiisip.
HE went to the mall to take a shopping with Qianru, si Qianru talaga ang sinamahan niya dahil gusto nito maghanap ng masusuot niya para sa party ni Pollux but at that moment natigilan siya ng makita ang mukha ng isang babae na nakatingin rin sakaniya, they are staring at each other's eyes hindi niya alam kung bakit ang lakas ng tibok ng puso niya ng oras na iyon pero sigurado siya kung sino ang babae.
That's her.. at the coffee shop!
Siya yung babaeng nakita niya sa coffee shop a days ago. It was the woman who smiled at him! Yung babaeng halos hindi niya magawang kalimutan. Her beauty was so incredible that makes him insanely not to forget her face. She's just driving him crazy, halos mabaliw siya pero hindi niya kilala ang dalaga kaya puro pagiisip nalang ang nagawa niya. She's just.. so beautiful.
"Migo, maganda ba?"
Bumalik ang atensyon niya sa kasama nitong si Qianru. Ngumiti siya at tumango when he look again, nawala na ito kaya saglit niyang iniwan si Qianru. She's nowhere! Nasaan na siya? Palagi nalang bang ganito na tila hindi sila pinagtatagpo na nagkakilala na dalawa?
Damn! I hate this! Bakit ba sa tuwing magkikita sila lagi nalang nawawala ang babae? Ano bang meron siya na tila ba hindi sila magawang ipagkakilala sa isa't isa? Dismayado siya ng hanapin niya ito ay wala na talaga ito. Maybe some othet time, siguro sa susunod magkaka-kilala na silang dalawa? Hopefully.
She pay for her clothes and he can't stop thinking about the woman. That woman that is making him insane right now.
"Hey, What's wrong?" Pagaalalang tanong naman ni Qianru sakaniya. Qianru is his bestfriend, almost but they act a couple. Sa harapan ng uncle niya but infront of anyone else? They arr just like buddies. "I saw her."
Kumunot naman ang noo nito. "Who?" Naguguluhang tanong ni Qianru sakaniya.
"The woman at the coffee shop, remember? It was the woman that I saw at the cafe."
She formed and 'oh' then tumingin sa paligid. "Where is she? Bakit hindi mo siya nilapitan? Man! That's your chance!" Mahina siyang hinampas sa braso nito at tinignan niya nalang si Qiaru. Seriously? Tinignan niya naman ito. "I did, but she got away. I don't know maybe cupid doesn't really want me to meet her because I had a bad luck with woman? Probably that's it."
Tinawanan naman siya ng kaibigan. "Migo, magkakakilala rin kayo masyado ka lang mainipin and don't think of that kaya ayaw sayo ipakilala ang babae dahil wala kang girlfriend and you always watch porn or mast*rbate? That's not even making any sense and believe me, you two will meet each other just wait. Ikaw kasi, hindi makapag-hintay atat ka kasi masyado."
"Is that the advice I can get from you?"
Tinawanan lang siya nito. "I'm just saying! Totoo naman, since the first day ganiyan ka na, since nakita mo ang babaeng 'yan para kang tanga, ang bagal mo kasi! Kapag ikaw naunahan, that's your fault! Bagal mo kasi kaya kapag may nauna sayo, sisihin mo ang sarili mo. Ikaw naman itong mabagal."
"Ikaw, namumuro ka na talata sakin Qianru and how did we even become friends?"
Tumawa siya at umuling. Some part of that she's also right about that, tama naman na masyado nga siguro niyang minamadali ang bagay-bagay kaya naman halos gusto niya makuha agad. Well, she's right about that. That's a part of him that it's true. Lahat ng bagay minamadali niyang makuha, but never happened to a woman because he never had one. Walang kahit na anong babae sa buhay niya, si Qianru? They both know Qianru never likes him. Mutual.
This is the first time that he fet being first sight with that woman na hindi naman niya rin kilala. That woman, he doesn't know her or her name either. But he would love to.
"Alam mo masaya akong may nagugustuhan ka na for three years, I never fell inlove with you which I am grateful about but no offence. Migo, this is the first time hearing a words from you that you're desperate to meet this woman to come to her life or make her in your life."
I am desperate.
He gasped. "Am I too obvious with that, I want mher so bad?" Nagtaas pa siya ng kilay sa kaibigan.
"Yeah.. too obvious actually, pull it down because everyone would see how desperate you are."
Jesus, why is this woman so brutal? Napatigil siya sa paglalakad. "You know, It's better if you don't talk. You're so brutal, ang sakit mo magsalita." Reklamo naman niya, totoo naman rin na masakit narin magsalita si Qianru sakaniya. It's hurting him!
"At-lease It's real, brutal and real."
He rolled his eyes. "Let's just go home, I don't want to get late for the party. Ikaw rin, halika na nga." Pag-aya niya sa kaibigan, Ayaw niyang ma-late para sa party mamaya and everyone is waiting! Hindi niya naman gustong malate.
Pollux will be gone crazy waiting for him.
SHE'S all done and prepared, her make up, her bag, her dress and everything is okay even her Braided Princess Hair. Nasa labas na ng condo niya sila Trevor at inaantay nalang siya. Today is the day that finally magkakakilala na silang dalawa ni Migo, She waited it for a long days alam niya naman na merong araw para sakanila and It's tonight. Pollux will lead that way for her, gusto niyang maalala siya ni Migo and one thing around that they are married ans he had no idea about their own marriage. Kahit masakit sakaniya na walang alam si Migo na kasal siya sakaniya, she have to play the part dahil mas mahirap kapag pinilit ni Migo na alalahanin siyang nawala sa ala-ala niya. It's her fault yeah, she's doing this for him.
Pagkalabas niya ay naroon na nga sila Trevor ngumiti siya at titig na titig pa nga si Trevor sakaniya. "Let's go?" Aniya. Nakita niya ang tingin nito at naputol sa tila pag-utal na salita ni trevor. "L-let's go.."
She knows that he keep looking at her iniiwasan niya nalang ayaw niya bigyan ng kahulugan ang lahat lalo na halos kapatid na niya kasi si Trevor even she knew that in the years Teagan keep saying this to her na pinahihiwatig na may gusto si Trevor but she's blocking it dahil ayaw niyang paasahin si Trevor. He knew that she's married with someone else. Alam niya 'yon, sana maintindihan niya na wala talaga.
Ayaw niyang masira ang kung anong meron silang dalawa ni Trevor, but if he keep doing that? Hindi niya alam kung siya ba o si Trevor ang lalayo sa isa't isa. She doesn't even want that to happened. Ang nais lang naman niya ay ang maging maayos silang dalawa ni Trevor for three years since they both bumped to each other, they met and become friends. Alam niya naman na posible na isa sakanila magkagusto and that's one thing that everyone couldn't even avoid but as for her.
She's married and she want him to know na hanggang kaibigan lang talaga ang kaya niyang ibigay para sa kaibigan, hanggang kaibigan lang talaga ang kaya niya. Hanggang duon lang talaga.
When they arrive to the Travon's parehas silang pinagbuksan ng pintuan ni Trevor. Nauna na nakalabas si Teagan then sumunod siyang agad na kumapit sa braso nito, hindi niya talaga makalaimutan kung anong nasa utak niya. kaya bigla syang napatigil sa paglalakad at inalis ang kamay sa pagkakahawak sa braso nito at tinignan si Trevor, nasa loob na si teagan.
She look at him. "Trevor, I can feel in you I mean I don't want to think or assume things but I know you have a something like a feelings grown for me and I want to hear it from you, Do you like me?"
She's straight forward. Ayaw niya naman na magpaligoy ligoy pa gusto niya naman na marinig mula kay Trevor ang totoo na kung ano nga ba ang nararamdaman nito para sakaniya and she doesn't even want to spoil it pero gusto niya malaman mula kay Trevor. If, aamin 'man ito sakaniya ngayon.
She saw how he sighed. "I never thought you'll find it out this way.." Tumingin ito sakaniya habang siya na nakatingin at nakikinig sa sasabihin nito sakaniya, gusto niya marinig mula kayTrevor. "I like you, well. I didn't at first but you're the only woman who makes me amaze with your fighting spirt. It's weird yeah but you're the woman who give me this, you're strong, you hide your pain very well. You're very kind, sweet. No man wouldn't ever fall for you, Vera.."
"I know that you're married and I respect that that's why I didn't tell you that I was slowly falling in love with you because I don't want you to think anything else from me. I want you to know that, I like you that's all but I don't want to be selfish because you're married and you do love your husband. In all the things happened, you make me amaze by you sacrifice your own happiness for your husband and now you want to bring back everything even him. It's amazing, you are amazing. I won't do anything harm and believe me, I can find another woman. Okay?"
Tumawa siya. "Okay. Let's go inside, they probably waiting for us and I'm nervous!" Kumapit siya sa braso ng kaniyang kaibigan habang lumalakad papasok sa loob hindi niya na alam anong mangyayari pagkapasok, kabado talaga siya.
She walks in and a lot of people were looking at her, sa suot niyang dress her back was exposed and the shape of her body, she bite her lips as she glance to migo na kausap ni Pollux. Inantay niya na lapitan siya ni Pollux, nakita siya agad nito at nakangiti siyang binati ng kaibigan at yumakap sakaniya.
She can't miss this party. "Thank god, akala ko hindi ka na darating! Good thing you came and thank you for coming with this special event, as I promise to you. Ipapakilala kita kay Migo, I won't forget that." Napangiti siya at sumunod lang dito. Kasama ni Migo sa table sila Heaven and she can see what would they react if they saw her, probably in shock.
"Hey guys, Migo." Bumaling ito kay migo and she stay behind para itago ang sarili. Trevor and Teagan, magkasama sila at iniwan siya with Pollux they can enjoy too as she was. "Migo, I want to introduce someone to you. She's a very special friend."
Heil and Heaven chuckled. "Girlfriend mo? I thought you're still inlove with donna. Who is this?" Napailing agad si Pollux at natawa siya agad. "No! Fuck you, Heil. She's not my girlfriend, she's sbecause she's an old friend who wants to meet migo."
He step out and she was revealed into their faces kitang kita naman niya ang gulat sa mukha ng mga ito, na makita siya. Na makita siyang nasa harapan and Migo's eyes seems amaze and thinking of all her right now nakatingin at nakatitig sakaniya. He drank off his drink and stand in-front bago pa ito maglahad ng kamay sakaniya, he grinned.
"I've seen you a days ago and today, earlier but I lost you on my sight- and yeah, I'm longing to finally meet you. I thought I'll be waiting to meet you.."
She chuckled. "Vera, Vera Stacy is my name. Yeah, We met times already and that's not a coincidence to meet the Migo Bourne. Right?" Ngumiti siya.
With that handshakes, napansin niya ang mata ni migo na nakatingin sakaniya at bumaba sa dibdib niya. This is why I choose to wear this dress. She meant no harm but seducing him lightly in a way.
"Hey, eyes up here."
Bumalik ang tingin nito sakaniya. "Oh. Sorry.."
Bumaling naman siya kila Heil na nakatingin sakaniya and hugged all of them. Masaya siya na makita sila ulit after three years, mahabang panahon at oras rin na nawala siya ngayon ay nakabalik na siya she won't be gone for sure. She'll be staying.
Migo had change in the passed three years, maraming bagay na nagbago sakaniya and she wanted to be part of his life. She want to begin it.
Kasama niya si Migo. "So, you're an author? That's awesome especially a woman who writes erotic romance. Does men ask you a lot of things? I mean, author ka hindi naman siguro malabong walang lalaki na nagtatanong sayo about being a writer?"
Honestly? Marami, maraming lalake na asking her if she had experience in bed kung naranasan naba niya ang bagay na iyon kasama ang isang lalake sa kama, nagawa na niya na ba ang isang pusisyon, at kung ano ano naman ang tinatanong sakaniya karamihan ay tungkol sa sex. He never fails to make me fall for him. "Since kaibigan ka ni Pollux if ever I make you as my girlfriend, papayag ka ba na maging boyfriend ako?" Tumango siya agad. "Of course, why not? Single ako, single ka naman walang problema."
Natahimik ito at marahan siyang natawa sa pagka-tahimik ni Migo. He's so adorable! The travon starts on their speech at nakuha ang atensyon ng lahat.
"Me, my wife and my son is so grateful to be part of your lives. Our hospital live in decades and our son grown up to be part of it as he become a doctor himself, successful that we are all proud of and we all gathered together to celebrate the another year that we have! Congratulations to all of us and everyone can start eating, probably all hungry huh? Enjoy the rest of the night. Everyone! Enjoy!"
After that everyone started to gather and eat their dinner with some drinks, wine or vodka to drink.
