Fel-sama said firstly, they should be aiming for a head. However, it was hard to hit the head because it was a small target. The next one, they could aim for the wing. Once the wing was injured, the flying beast could fall to the ground, and it was easy to proceed from there. 

Remembering the lesson, Bai Xifeng was not going to kill the bird, she just wanted to injure the bird. So, she was aiming for the wing.
