章節 15: Riser Phenex (Part 2/2)
"I won't let my house fall to ruin. I plan to bring a son in law into the fold eventually." Rias says after staying silent for a while. Riser who hears what Rias say makes a big smile.
" Oh, to be expected from Rias! Then let's-" Riser who was talking happily about what rias say got cut by Rias word continuation.
"But I won't marry you, Raiser. I will marry someone I want to be with. Even the Devils from the old noble house have the right to choose." She then turned her back to him.
" The entire devil world struggles to preserve the lineages of pure-blooded devils. After the last war made them a rarity. Our fathers arranged this marriage for the common good." Riser still trying reasoned with Rias.
" Just like I said before, My father, elder brother, and other family members are all rushing too much. I won't say it twice, Raiser. I'm not going to marry you." Rias keep rejecting what Riser says to her.
"...You know, Rias. I'm also a Devil who carries the name of House of Phoenix behind me. I can't let that name get tarnished. I didn't even want to come to a small old building like this in the human world. Rather, I don't like the human world that much. The fire and wind of this world are filthy. For a Devil like me who rules fire and wind, I can't stand it!" Riser who started to lose out of patience grabbing Rias chin and said it directly to her face with a serious face.
"I will take you back to the underworld, even if I have to burn all of your servants." Riser magic energy spiked up. The wings of flames sprouted from his back like a firebird. His hostility and killing intent filled the entire room. The pressure from Raiser's directed into the one in the room. Asia who becomes scared because of the atmosphere went to hugs Issei's arm. Kiba and Koneko-chan aren't trembling but they are getting ready to fight. Rias makes a stance against Raiser, and there is a red aura coming out of her body. Raiser also starts covering his body with fire. Intense heat fills the room.
In response to Riser's action, Kamiya takes corn from his inventory. The heat generated by Riser quite hot but, his power still too weak to damage him. Kamiya just sitting on his seat while roasting the corn he has with the heat Riser provided. The atmosphere inside to room become intense until Grayfia takes action.
"Ojou-sama, Riser-sama, please calm down. If both of you were to continue, then I won't be quiet about it. For Sirzechs-sama's honor, I won't hold back." Both Rias and Riser make a serious face after hearing Grayfia-san's quiet and intense voice. It seems like they are scared of her.
"...To be told that by the "Strongest Queen", even I would be scared... I definitely wouldn't want to fight the people from Sirzech-sama's group, which is known to be made up of monsters." Riser calms the flames around his body and sighs while shaking his head. Rias also stops her red demonic-power and disbands her battle position.
The heat inside the room started back to normal and the corn Kamiya have was roasted into perfection. With the snack finished prepared, Kamiya started to eat the roasted corn inside the room. No one inside the room takes notice of what Kamiya does except Grayfia who raised her eyebrow and decided to ignore the action.
"Master, Sirzechs-sama, and those from the House of Phenex knew it would turn out like this. To tell you the truth this was to be the last discussion meeting. Everyone knew that it wouldn't be solved, so they decided to make a last resort." Seeing that both Rias and Riser have no intention to fight, Grayfia continues to speaks.
"Last resort? What do you mean, Grayfia?" Rias asked Grayfia who said that.
"Ojou-sama, if you wish to push your opinion forward, then how about you settle it by having a [Rating Game] against Raiser-sama?" Grayfia continues her explanation.
" So, in the end, everything decided by a fight huh..." The group said it silently.
"Just as you know, Ojou-sama, only mature aged Devils can participate in the official [Rating Game]. But if it's an unofficial match between pure-blood Devils, even immature Devils can participate. However, in this case-" Grayfia filling detail of Rating game to others who doesn't know about it.
"When it involves family and household problems." Rias continues to talk while making a sigh."In other words, Otou-sama and the others decided to have a game as a last resort if I was to decline, right? Just how far are they intending to interfere with my life to feel satisfied!" Rias looked really ticked off.
"Then Ojou-sama, you are saying you would also decline to participate in the game?"
"No, I won't, since this is a chance. Alright then. Let's settle this with a game, Riser." Riser smirks after Buchou's provocative words.
"Hee, so you're accepting it. I don't mind. But I'm already a mature Devil and I have already participated in the official game. Right now I have won most of the games. Even so, you still want to play, Rias?" Riser replied back with an even more provocative word. Rias sends back a fearless smile.
"I will. I will blow you away, Riser!" Rias says it with conviction
"Fine. If you win, do whatever you like. But if I win, you will marry me immediately." Both of them glare at each other. They are both glaring at each other with scary eyes.
"Understood. I, Grayfia, have confirmed both side's opinions. I will be in charge of the game between the two households. Is that okay?" Grayfia asked for confirmation from both sides.
"Yes." "Yeah." Rias and Riser both agree to Grayfia-san's approval.
"Understood. I will inform the two households then." Grayfia-san bows her head after confirming.
" Rias, just to make sure, are these all your servant?" Riser looks around the room inspecting the one in the room one by one until he sees someone was eating snacks watching them. "Also why there are humans right here?"
" Yes, so what if they are? And the humans, Kamiya is the friend of my peerage, He is already here in the room from the start for some discussion until you suddenly barged in without an invitation." Rias answers Riser's question.
" Then this match will be a laugh. Only your [Queen], the 'Priestess of Thunder"' can fight on par with my adorable servants." Saying that Riser clicks his fingers and the magic-circle on the floorglows. The magic-circle has the same emblem of Phenex that Riser appeared from. Then shadows appear from the magic-circle.
" Well, these are my cute servants." Around Riser who said that 15 people that seem to be his servants gather around him. All fifteen people who summoned by Riser are all-girl, composed of various types of girls like Queen type, Cat-girl, Twin girl, Girl dancer, Chinese fighter, Japanese maiden, knight girl, and Noble girl. Issei who sees what in front of him started crying because he saw his dream and objective of having a harem.
"This boy's dream is to have a harem. I think he was moved after looking at your servants." Rias places her hand on her forehead when she sees Issei.
"Gross~." "Riser-sama, this person is freaking me out~."Raiser's girls make a disgusted face while looking at Issei.
"Don't say that, my cute girls. Looking up to upper stream folks is what a lowly one does. Let's show them how passionate we are." Saying that Riser starts to have a tongue kiss with two of the girls.
"You will never be able to do this." Riser says to Issei's face after kissing two of his peerage.
"Don't say what I think you were saying! Damn it! Boosted Gear!" Issei put his left hand up in the air and shouted. While emitting red lights, the thing that is possessed in His left arm shows itself. A red gauntlet that has a mark of a dragon engraved in it, [Boosted Gear].
" Ojou-chan over there with beautiful blond hair, That guy over there is your brother, right? is he always like this? Since expression, you guys show, make it like you guys seem used to this" Kamiya who see spectacle Riser made asked the girl with blonde hair tied into twintails with large, drill-like curls and blue ribbons keeping them in place. He was sure the blonde has a deep connection with Riser from how similar energy released from both of them.
" Well. he always gives his peerage a good treatment compared to other servants in the house and showing off for having a beautiful girl as peerage to fellow devils. Sometimes he kissed them in public, most of them already don't mind doing it anymore and proud of it. Also, It's my name is Ravel!" The blonde girl introduces herself with an angry and blushing face.
" Who allows you to lay your hand on my little sister! Well, it's true my little sister beautiful and cute! So. I forgive you, Human!" Riser said with an angry voice and yet proud voice when talking about his little sister.
" Ehm... Okay..." Kamiya said with a deadpanned face.
" Don't forget about me! A womanizer like you isn't good enough to be with Buchou!" says Issei who feels forgotten pointing his finger toward Riser.
"Huh? Weren't you looking up to the so-called womanizer?" Riser replied to Issei's provocative word.
"S-Shut up! That's different from the thing about Buchou! At this rate, you will continue to flirt with other girls even after you marry Buchou!" Issei doesn't want to accept the reality he was no different from him.
" It's obvious, right? Most devil pillar having harem including Rias father. As a devil, you should try to get what do you want. Also, the important point is a girl, you low-class! You know, those wonderful ephemeral beings that made up half of the devil race, who can captivate the heart of the men by a merely existing and entire reason why life was worth living. There no way I will let those beautiful girls fall into another man when I can have them for myself. Also, Rias' beauty is among the top in the devil society. Even without this engagement, I will try to court a beautiful woman. That's why I won't give up this engagement easily since it's beneficial for my family and supported by the devil council." Riser telling having harem kinda normal for the devil and declaring his feeling to get many beautiful women.
" I don't care! I as Buchou servant, all I care about is her feeling! Nothing more! Nothing Less! That's why I'll bring all of you down right here without the stupid game!" Issei starts moving to Riser preparing to punch him. [Boost!]
" Mira." Riser giving a signal to his servant. Mira the young girl with blue hair and light brown eyes. Her hair is styled with four short ponytails, with two of the four-pointed up and the remaining two pointed down. She moved out of the Riser group and intercept Issei with her wooded staff. Issei who sees Mira as nothing more than a petite girl let his guard down. Mira using the chance to hit Issei's stomach and send Issei flying to Kamiya direction, not sure by coincidence or not. In response Kamiya catching Ise with his right.
" Ha... Idiot...But, good courage, I admit that." Kamiya giving a sigh and healing Issei with his ability.
"You are weak." Riser who see the fight result said to Issei who just recovered. "The one who you just fought is my [Pawn] Mira. She's the weakest out of my servants, but she has more battle experience and has more talent as a Devil than you. Boosted Gear? Huh."
"This is certainly one of the invincible and dangerous Sacred Gears. By how you use it, not only me, but you can also defeat a Maou and God. There were quite a number of possessors who had that before. But there hasn't been any case where it defeated a God or Maou. Do you know what this means?" Riser then laughs really loudly. "It means that this Sacred Gear is imperfect, and the possessors were also a bunch of weaklings that couldn't use it! You are no exception! How do yousay this in the human world again? ...Yes, 'Pearls before swine'. Fuhahaha! Yeah, pearls before swine! It's about you! Rias's [Pawn]-kun!"
" Well that's true, this guy still kinda weak to hold the true power of [Boosted Gear], but that to be expected from normal highschool boy without any redeeming quality except his love for the breast that stood out from others. With enough training, he will become strong, I can say that for sure. Since I also possess Longinus and managed to defeat Sona and Rias whole Peerage head-on by myself." Kamiya says to Riser.
" Ho-oh... Mira!" Riser who heard that ordering Mira. Mira who heard Riser order, moving to attack Kamiya. It seems Riser underestimating Kamiya and sending his weakest member to test him.
" I'm still holding this guy you know? huh... Whatever... I'll just do this." Kamiya who saw the response of Riser giving a sigh and using his ability to boundary circle to teleporting Issei to Rias's peer's location and Mira who sending a blow to Kamiya teleported to Riser location. Mira who suddenly change location surprised failed to stop her attack and her attack landed on Riser's face.
" Sorry! Riser-sama!" Mira who just hit Riser by accident started apologizing.
" You Bastard! How dare you!" Riser who got hit by attack got pissed off. He attacks Kamiya with his Phenex Hell-Fire.
" Yare-yare daze (Good grief)." Kamiya who saw Riser attack him doesn't make any movement. He knows for sure the attack that is made by Riser is too weak to hurt him. The attack hit-on Kamiya directly and envelope him with fire.
" Kamiya-san!" " Tendou!" Rias peerages were surprised by what just happened in front of them. Grayfia who already sees any kind of scene in the battlefield still able to sense Kamiya still alive inside the flame.
" In the end he just human. That easily killed by devils." Riser looking at the result he did.
" You guys kinda noisy, you know... The flame of this level won't be enough to defeat me." The flame that enveloping Kamiya started to vanish and went inside some sort of device.
" Waaaaaaaaaah!?" The girl in a room started screaming.
" Why are you naked!?" One of the girls asking a question
" Why are you asking? The answer already obvious right? that guy over there burning my clothes" Kamiya giving a reply, He doesn't want to say he forget his clothes doesn't have same resistance as his body.
" But.. but..." The girl saying in an embarrassing state.
"Your embarrassment is only natural. My naked body surpasses even the finest diamonds in this world. And, it must be an even more splendid sight for virgins." Kamiya says without any embarrassed about his body displayed
"Eeeeeeeeeek! Creeper, creeper, creeper! Why are you exposing yourself in public!? Shameless!"
" What are you talking about? There any nothing shameless on my body! My body is perfection itself. Insulting this body means insulting all living beings in the world!" Kamiya giving a reply with proud and serious face. He who inherited adam body the human that created with image of God. So it's natural for his body to become symbol of the perfect body itself for mankind.
"But, I shall forgive your innocence. Why don't you come closer? I shall grant you God's favor!" Kamiya spreading both his hand.
"A-a-a-a-a-a, Are you insane!? Who are you calling a virgin!? As if I'd be impressed by th-"
"Then come closer. If you are so experienced, then come stare a bit more. Or not, if that suits you." Kamiya invited them to see his body more if they wanted.
"A-a-a-a-a-a" the girls entire body is turning red with embarrassment, and probably anger as well. Some of them almost passed out to see the perfection they just see.
"Hm, that was not according to plan. This is supposed to be the part where you're so amazed by my majesty that you surrender to me." Kamiya who sees results different from what he expected and falls into though and finally gets understanding. "But, that was not your fault. I may just be too beautiful."
" Bastard! what are you doing it my Peerage!" Riser said with an angry expression and a red face.
" Ok ok.. but it was you who started this. I will start to cover myself." Kamiya using his ability and creating clothes for him to wear.
" Rias you still have Rook, Knight piece that hasn't been used yet and one Bishop that not allowed to use right?" Riser calming his self and asking Rias about his Evil Pieces status.
" Yeah what about it?" Rias replied back.
" Then I will allow you to include that human in your team and 10-day training before the start of rating game as Handicap. I'm sure that enough time to gain some improvement to give a decent fight." Riser say while preparing to leave.
" Why in hell, I need to participate in your devil political fight? Well, I don't really mind since I don't have any plan any all." Kamiya's sense of boredom wins over his will to avoid the game invitation.
" I will say this, I will only fight your peer member using the flame you use when attacking me before as weapon material. I won't Interfere with your fight with Rias peer, but it won't be the same for your peers. Since I feel there is no meaning if I'm the one winning the match instead of Rias and her peerage for her own freedom. You can have my word for that. " Kamiya declared to Raiser.
" Then, that's good. Let's go!" Riser Peerage gathers up on the Riser magic circle and disappears from the room.

FinzRaizer It seems it took longer than I expected... I read whole novel & marathon anime by accident... definitely not my fault...
I follow the Light Novel version...
Riser may arrogant, but he still cares about his family situation. well still like harem seeker with a noble background. (well I kinda stopped hating Riser after Vo.10 same like Issei when he sacrifices his life to saving Ophis in Canon(No matter what, people who putting his life to protect other against someone stronger kinda worth of respect))
