Everest and Belen ditched the influencer's party and left Noah behind, though Belen was still suffering from what happened at the party. Everest took it upon himself to contact Noah that the two were going, but he didn't bother to mention anything about what happened to Belen because he thought it was not his place to tell. So instead, Everest decided to leave it up to Belen to say anything if she really wanted him.

After the two got an ice cream cone by the nearest shop in Hermosa Beach, Everest took Belen closer to the beach, where he was able to park his car near the sidewalk, a few inches away from the sand that enveloped the ocean currents.

The wind was strong at random moments, and it often came from the cold ocean that emitted the taste of salt into Belen's chapped lips.

Everest was wearing a long-sleeve white formal shirt, but in the corner of Belen's eyes, she could see something was off.

"Are you cold?" she smoothly asks without a hint of annoyance in her voice.
