章節 13: Ch. 13 Human and greed
Kicking the shin of Cheng Li. Ling Xi stormed inside his room. He should not have tease the great god. What food did he eat to muster some courage to make fun at him? Now his first kiss is now gone. And he even says 'This old man is the one kissing you' Ling Xi shivers thinking about it.
First battle that he stands up on himself. He is defeated.
Holding his lips, he imagined Cheng Li kissing him again and again, even kissing his neck and going am i?…. 'No, what i am thinking, I'm not a gay? Or maybe i am? I don't know.' before coming here, Cheng Li is a virgin, never been kissed or touched. But thinking about it, he does not feel any attraction when he sees a opposite sex. But he is not attracted to man either. So why is he thinking about Cheng Li? Forget it, I'll just go to sleep and tomorrow I'll forget about it.
He is holding his outerwear and putting it on the chair beside the bed when someone knocks at the door.
"what?"
"Can i…"
Without even finishing hearing what Cheng Li would say he say "No!"
"Can I sleep with you, the bed in the other room is broken." Cheng Li requested, opening the door, he can see him holding a pillow in his arm.
"Sleep on the floor." denying his request.
"There is no extra futon." a pitiful voice whined out.
"Then use a quilt."
"The floor is cold." still in pitiful voice.
"Good for you!" he spit out, he is not dumb to fall into the trap of this shameless man again.
"Then, can I sleep in here?" he ask before holding his pillow, he goes to the rug beside the fireplace even curling into a ball looking like a kick or abandoned puppy.
Ling Xi's mouth curled into smile before climbing up the bed and closing his eyes. But instead of sleeping he imagined Cheng Li freezing up or catching a cold or getting back aches on sleeping on the floor. He contoured many scenarios on his mind and even started to believing in some.
"Cheng Li." he softly calls out, testing if the man is still awake.
"hm" his response. Still awake.
"You can get in here, the bed is big, it can fit the two of us." Ling Xi points out before going to the right side of the bed giving Cheng Li room.
"Thank You.!" a grateful voice can be heard. Cheng Li got up, holding his back, even massaging it making Ling Xi feels bad. The man promised that he would accompany him but he is being mean to him.
Cheng Li lowers his head and smiled. He again fools this little one, he destroys his bed before coming here. Even curling in the fireplace is just a pretense. He can even sleep in snow and not feel any cold. The little one feels right into his trap again and he even done it willingly.
Getting on the bed, he even get the quilt and curling into it. Ling Xi became regretful, looking at the man curling inside the bed, he doesn't know how to say sorry to him. He feels asleep still thinking how to make up for his offense.
Cheng Li looks at the person clearly in deep sleep, holding the corner of the quilt and curling into it. He is cold yet he does not even pull the quilt, clearly the small one feels sorry to him even enduring the cold night than pulling the quilt to his 'pretense' cold body.
He arrange the quilt in Ling Xi's body before going to sleep. He really wants to pull him into his embrace but decided not to, the little one is clearly still angry at him for kissing him. He has to unruffled his feathers before initiating body contact again.
Midnight, Cheng Li wakes up feeling something on his chest, that said something is Ling Xi, his head on his chest while his four limbs are clinging to him. The quilt he give to him are on the floor, only the corner is still at the bed. Ling Xi must have detect a heat source coming from his body and come closer to him.
"Cheng Li." he calls him. Looks like this little one is sleep talking.
"En." responds, they say that when you are sleep talking, you can't lie.
"I'm sorry okay." he says before arranging his head in his chest, looking for a comfortable spot before continue sleeping, light snoring can be heard coming from him.
He arranged their posture before holding the little one in his arm and continue sleeping, this time there's no more disturbance.
Unaware to the two people holding each other and sleeping, or an aware to all the people sleeping soundly, in a bit of south area of their neighbouring mountain, a demon general is looking at the map of the human realm. The community and the people who previously resides in their are almost eaten, they been hiding in here for a year now, arranging their force and waiting for their kind to come.
A man can be seen sitting on the highest chair, pointing the different small community all scattered in this place. Their food is almost run out now, so they have to look for another place to hide again.
The demon general eyed the man in the chair, humans are disgusting, sacrificing their own kind with just a little bit of power. They are full of greed, of envy, of hate. They don't even have any loyalty in their fellow kinds. But it is better this way, conquering this realm would be an easy tasked knowing that they scrambled to sacrifice everything just to live. Ah human, they are too disgusting creature.
