章節 59: Chapter 59 new form, big mistake?
Mark or should we say Maku (For 'her' new form~XD) had arrived into the new world as for what world it was, it was one overrun by monsters, humans living in floating domes trying to stay clear of the monsters.
Using her magic to scan the world for a place to claim and control, as the repairs for the other forms have only reached 0.000001% done so far giving an obvious sign that it will take a long time to repair them so Mark, er, Maku is going to be stuck either in this form or the trouble bringing other form.
the memories shared by this form were peculiar as her wings flapped, Maku was seeing her story, her struggles, what secretly sought for... a loving family yet her poisonous abilities always killed anyone that got too close to her and as for her title Bird of famine was due to a single tear from the loneliness she felt, that single drop made a fertile land into a desolate one from miles away for 100 years meaning that if she really wanted to, the sorcerer's planet would've been a dead one within a year.
But the harpy was misunderstood despite remaining in the deadlands to prevent her power from killing millions if not billions of beings only to wait to be hunted by others relentlessly, while she had the form of an archfiend the harpy wanted to live!
Whenever she was defeated her fate of being saved or sacrificed are decided by the very people she wished to stay away from including the sorcerers!
So now Mark now as Maku has to live with that memory, making 'her' wonder
"what are the stories of the other masks? what will she learn? what will she gain?"
it's like each mask left an inheritance for Maku to gain and learn from both from the gifts and regrets they had.
----A few hours later after flying for so long---
Maku found a dome that was under siege by millions of winged monsters, that had a form similar to imps but more like shadows, as billions of magic arrows fired upon the dome, the people fighting had weapons similar to an anime called Youjo Senki (an awesome chaotic anime to watch BTW) only difference was the humans flew on their own and the weapons acted as the catalyst for them to be able to fight and defend.
As for why Maku assumed that?
one of the humans lost their weapon and retreated yet the overwhelming numbers began firing at the human that had nothing left behind by the number of magic attacks received, the same happened to the others as the guns they held broke from usage only to suffer the same fate as the first one that died under the barrage.
Maku wanted information and from here she could hear their words and understand it so she decided to help them just for information then leave as the form of the humanoid harpy was still mesmerizing for humans and Maku wanted to lose her v card as a man and keep it that way!
so to lessen the chance of attracting trouble She summoned a raiment through the Portraiture that covered her whole body leaving an opening for the wings her current look was a full body armor covered in studded leather with blue and yellow streaks along with the limbs, the with some Enchanted and polished hardwood plates dyed red covering the shoulders and hips, the headpiece was similar to a samurai mask just that it was made from leather and hardwood leaving a gap for the eyes and mouth.
this made her look more suspicious than anything but it was one of the few Raiments that covered her completely and didn't make her seem to have mental issues and wiping out these monsters should make them hold their tongue!
Maku flew to the human's side which surprised both sides as one thought she was trying to attack them as this world only had humans and her current get-up from afar made her look more like a monster than a human.
but the next action shocked both groups, as she held her hand out in front of her then a small green flame-like orb that made both sides feel a chill run down their backs before Maku blew the orb toward the monsters that quickly expanded and devoured the majority of them leaving a gaping hole in the ranks!
Squeaks and cries came from them before they scrambled to escape as they felt the being that made such an attack emit had an even heavier presence as blue and more green orbs came flying towards the one that brought so much fear to the monsters!
As for the humans, they 'bravely' tried to stand their ground, however, they were shaking in fear as the green orbs continued to strengthen Maku as the feeling of more power was just so satisfying, once the last orb was absorbed a heavy sigh came from her as a black mist came out before evaporating into the atmosphere her right arm lessened in its demonic look.
When Maku turned to look at the surviving humans her simple look from their point of view was more of a bloodthirsty glare that made them tense up and unable to move thanks to the bonus points that was sent to her mana when she left the monsters to fate and saved some of them her rewards were the following.
Increased magic regeneration +50221.
Increased magic affinity +700,625.
Increased magic capacity +5,009,889.
Increased strength +7689.
increased vitality +513,665.
increased agility +40,333.
Magic for this world is something they connect to life force the more one had in their body the longer they can live the highest capacity known for humans was 1,000,000 who was deified later by humankind, the highest known for monsters was 5,000,000 that was slain tens of thousands of years ago so the amount of power that Maku had brought about a massive misunderstanding for both races of this world.
and the terrible feeling the humans had was destroyed by the one thing that Maku had forgotten to cover up.
"why hello there, pi!"
Taking this form not only was it extremely beautiful but the harpy also had a sentence tik and an enchanting voice that made both genders shiver for a different reason...
