Starting the lesson, Professor Flitwick made everyone draw their Wands. Ron noticed that most if not all of the Slytherin's handled their wands very naturally and swiftly drew them.
Looking at his fellow Ravenclaw's, only a few were able to match their pace, others struggled to draw it altogether.
"*Maybe they're not all idiots, bigots yes but at least they know how to handle their wands properly.*"
Once everyone had their Wands out, the Professor demonstrated the spell before letting them try it on their own.
" Lumos."
" Lumos."
" Lumos."
The spell was quite easy, leading to the majority of the class succeeding in their first try. Ron who'd mastered the spell spent his time helping those who where having trouble getting it right, one of them being a chubby blond haired boy.
" Your incantation is perfect what's wrong is your hand movement your putting to much power into your wrist. For the Lumos spell your movements should be quick and simple."
Taking Ron's advise the young boy tried again, this time succeeding.
" Thank you Ron. Um, I'm Anthony Goldstein..."
" I know you Anthony, we're in the same house so don't mention it. Now if you'll excuse me I think Sue Li is also having trouble."
Going to help the young girl, Ron was suddenly stopped by hearing the Professor calling out to him.
" Ronald, it's great to see someone helping others but to be impartial I'd like to see you also perform the Charm. Just so I can grade your work."
The Crimson Haired boy, turned to the short Professor and with his signature grin answered.
" I understand Professor, Lumos."
With a simple wave of his wand, a light that perfectly lit up the room emerged from it. He quickly stopped the spell since it's brightness could potentially harm someone's eyes.
" Absolutely perfect, Ronald! Ten Points to Ravenclaw! Seeing as you have perfectly casted the spell if it isn't too much trouble please help your peers."
" Of course, Professor."
Ron's ever present grin, was a bright smile to the Ravenclaw student's and his Professor, but a wicked smirk to the Slytherin's.

After class Ron received 30 more House Points for helping others to the joy of his fellow Ravenclaw's and his Head of House. As the rest were heading to their Potions Class, Ron stayed behind to speak with Professor Flitwick.
" Professor if I may, I'd like your advice on something."
" Of course Ronald, do tell."
" I was thinking of joining the U-15 British Duelist Tournament. My aunt has taught me a large assortment of defensive and offensive spells but I believe I'm lacking technique and style. I've heard from the older Ravenclaw student's that you were a Dueling Champion and would really appreciate it if you could give me some pointers."
Right as his words sounded, the Professor's lips stretched into wide smile.
" Oh, that's wonderful news! I've always been one to support, up and coming Duelists. I've even tried to reopen the Dueling Club here in Hogwarts to no avail. I'd have to speak with the Headmaster and get Written permission from your parents..."
Expecting his conditions, Ron summoned a sealed letter from his item bag and flew it into the man's little hands.
" My Aunt who's my legal guardian gave me her consent, as for the Headmaster I only hope he'll let a trained and seasoned veteran such as yourself help a young student who aspires to be a Duelist."
Professor Flitwick nodded at the boy's words, as a veteran of the sport, he knew if one wasn't ready or properly trained he might suffer injuries or worse.
" Don't worry, Ronald. I'll be sure to convince the Headmaster and if he doesn't agree I'll try to find another way to help you. Dueling is a dying sport and it brings me great joy to see someone as talented as you wanting to be a part of it."
" Thank you, Professor I knew I could count on you. I have to go to my next class, please excuse me."
Giving him a short bow, Ron exited the classroom and headed to the dungeons.
"*Oh, Severus. To think you still haven't forgotten about Sirius, your little accident is something I replay inside my head on a loop.*"

When Ron entered the dark, dimly lit room he grabbed everyone's attention including the brooding Snape. Technically the class hadn't started so he couldn't be deducted points for tardiness but that didn't stop Snape from berating him with questions.
" Weasley, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood!?"
Ron didn't answer the question, instead he looked around the room which was being shared with the Hufflepuff's. Daphne like always saved him the seat next to hers, and a few seats over Hermione was jumping at the chance to answer to question given to him.
" Weasley! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood!? Answer the question!!"
When Snape raised his voice to where he practically shouted at Ron, the rest of the class turned away not daring to say anything. Even Hermione who was trying her hardest to grab the man's attention sat back down with worry in her eyes.
" Are you not going to answer, Weasley!? Then I'll keep subtracting Points from Ravenclaw until you decide to answer!!"
The Ravenclaw students felt indignant at the man's threat, they knew that Ron always helped them and was a model student. The Hufflepuff's were also worried, about them being swept up into Snape's tirade.
" Ten, Points from Ravenclaw! Are you going to answer Weasley!?"
"..."
" Another Ten Points!"
Ron's expression remained unchanged, that made the irate Professor even more furious.
" Come with me Weasley! If you won't answer to me, let's have you speak with the Headmaster!"
Daphne who was alarmed by Ron possibly being sent to the Headmaster's Office and wanted to speak out but Ron shot her a glance causing her to say nothing.
" What are you waiting for!? Stand up or would you like me to make you!?"
" Are you speaking to me Professor?"
" Oh, so you finally answered! But it's too late you're coming to-"
" But this is the first time you addressed me? I didn't say anything before since you seemed to have confused me with one of my brothers. So to save you face I stayed quiet, since I didn't want to point out your mistake."
Snape's, face turned a bright red as he couldn't believe that, a student he was berating was trying to save him face.
" What are talking about Weasley!? I d-"
" See you keep doing it, that's why I kept quiet. For a professor with a long and successful career in teaching such as yourself to repeatedly call a student by the wrong name should be embarrassing, right?"
" What nonsense are you spouting!? You're name is Ronald Weasley! And you're the only Weasley in this room! So please tell me how I made the mistake!?"
" Well I'm not Ronald Weasley. My name is Ronald Prewett Black Weasley, and I'm certain that Professor call students by their Family name or names which in my case are three."
" What utter nonsense!! I will address you however I deem fit. Do you understand me, Weasley!?"
Ron squinted his eyes but never looked the angered man directly, he then stood up to everyone's surprise and bowed to Snape before exiting the classroom.
" I'm sorry but if your going to show no regard to my family then I don't see why I should continue being here. Please excuse me Professor, everyone else I apologise for wasting your time with this embarrassing spectacle."
Just like that Ron walked out the door leaving behind a classroom with a furious Snape and stunned students.
