章節 2: A Day Off 2
Ling made sure to greet the manager before leaving the brothel.
A lot of prostitutes and men who had slept with him stared at him with weird expressions but he didn't mind.
Just let him enjoy life today.
In the pouch given to him by the manager was 30 silver coins enough for him to spend.
Outside the brothel, Ling was greeted by sunlight that he hadn't been able to admire for 3 years.
The street was way busier than it was 3 years ago.
Sigh!
He's really missed out on a lot of things.
Ling walked along the street and admired lots of new things, food and even toys that had been invented.
It felt really good to see people again without the thought that they'd sleep with him.
He strolled around the area and finally landed at the market which was really an eye-opener for him.
He could also see a commotion at his right.
Ever curious by nature, Ling walked to the spot of the commotion and saw that it was all because of 5 youths from a cultivation sect who were showcasing their skills to the commoners.
A lot of them especially the young girls were very happy.
Each of them dreamed of marrying any of the 3 handsome youths.
Ling sized them up and sighed.
He also wanted to be like these young cultivators at an earlier age before he was forced into prostitution.
The leader amongst the 3 youths saw Ling and stopped showcasing his skills.
"Hey, my young friend," he called out to Ling but the latter had run away.
"Forget it"the leader who had long black hair that reached his shoulders said before returning to his earlier actions.
Somewhere in an alley, Ling exhaled heavily.
"What does that guy even want? I was merely looking, just like the others" he complained as he patted his chest.
"You are a prostitute right?"
Startled, Ling turned around to see a beggar who was sitting on the ground, legs crisscrossed.
"You... how.." Ling was at a loss for words.
"Say no more...it's time for you to possess what you ought to possess, "the beggar said before disappearing.
"Huh?" Ling was beyond shocked.
He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming, but that guy had really disappeared.
"Who is that guy?"Ling thought in fear.
He wanted to rush out of the alley when he heard the voices of two men.
He didn't know why but his instincts told him to hide.
