– Saying "adopted", but... both of the adopted kids were such talented, it could be said that Angus' grandfather's luck must be at the SSS level!

Aurora Bijlmer Complex was the national competition center which owned the biggest area and the most modern infrastructure in Pacific, including the following main areas:
The North sector included a two kilometer running track and a 500 meter x 500 meter competition swimming pool.
The West sector comprised an artificial mountain system with average elevation of 700 meter and artificial primeval forest covering an area of two hundred and fifty thousand square kilometers, often used for team competition or survival battles.
The South sector was the system of practice areas and/or rooms for the subjects: archery, power control (one-on-one combat using internal power), weapon combat (one-on-one combat using some kinds of weapons), martial arts (one-on-one combat without using internal power and/ or weapons), and weapon creation.
The East sector was a system of large and small halls, serving for important diplomatic meetings, as well as for the annual graduation ceremony of the final-year students.
Located at the center was the Aurora Bijlmer Arena – the venue for the Third round which was internal power control match between the Class Leaders. The arena owned a size of 200 meter x 200 meter and a capacity of twenty thousand spectators.
The First round of physical strength categories would be conducted in the following time order and locations:
From 8 A.M to 10 A.M: Long-distance running – 70 kilometer – North sector.
From 12 P.M to 2 P.M: Mountain climbing – 350 meter – Artificial mountain system in the West sector.
From 4 P.M to 6 P.M: Swimming – 2500 meter – Swimming pool in the North sector.
It was obvious that all the three physical categories had a slightly higher target than the normal target in the training base before, in order to create some more challenges for the Class Leaders.
At 7.30 A.M in the morning, Alvin was on time to stand at the North Gate of Aurora Bijlmer Complex.
A man in military uniform slowly walked towards him.
He had long, golden hair tied neatly behind his nape, bringing about the feeling of a true noble. His handsome and dazzling face was enough to leave the emerging idol groups in showbiz a kilometer far behind.
Perhaps it was because the military uniform had lessen a part of his lazy expression of the normal day, now he looked a bit more serious. The military uniform fit his tall and firm body, around him existed a special temperament that made people get a feeling of a true soldier within just one look.
When the man approached, Alvin unconsciously straightened his back, showing a more serious attitude.
"You are Alvin?" The man asked.
"Yes." Alvin bowed slightly. "Hello, Teacher Eugene."
Last night Angus came to Eugene and asked for help to bring Alvin into the stands belonging to Class K's area.
Eugene was quite surprised when he knew that Angus had an adopted younger brother, who was also the second disciple of the Principal of the Military Technical Academy. Saying "adopted", but... both of the adopted kids were such talented, it could be said that Angus' grandfather's luck must be at the SSS level!
"How is your teacher?" Eugene asked
"Master is well as usual. Today he also comes." Alvin replied.
As the second disciple of Grandpa Silas, Alvin should have called Grandpa Silas "Teacher" as Angus called Eugene. But because the generation gap between them was quite far, Alvin decided to call Grandpa Silas "Master" to show more respect.
"Have you entered the official program?"
"Not yet. I'm in the Preparation program. There's not much thing to do, just self-learning by reading books and writing weekly reports."
"So what will you learn after this competition? Is there any tailored-made program for you?"
"Eh, what... program?" Alvin looked puzzled, "Can you tell me more?"
"After this competition, first-year students will continue study for half a year. Then at the beginning of the second year, you guys will choose the Academy and the major you want to study..."
Eugene slowly explained.
After the Battle for the Grade Leader position, first-year students would continue study for half a year. This half-a-year program would still involve physical and internal power control trainings, associated with team competition among ten classes. Besides that, there would be some time for academic learning, with three subjects: History, Geography, and Science. Also, at the end of every month, there would be extra-curricular activity or social work taking place outside the academy, with the objective of helping students get "socialized".
The case of Alvin was a bit special: He was admitted to an Academy ahead of time – In fact, only Military Technical Academy and Medical Academy were allowed to admit students ahead of time, due to the special requirements of those careers. And the practice of "admitting students ahead of time" was just an announcement to other academies that "this student belonged to us".
Pacific Education Law had strict rules about going to school at the right age, so there was almost no program for students like Alvin. What they could do was self-studying like Alvin had been doing, while waiting until the second year to study together with other second-year students newly entered the academy.
Actually the Vice Principal of the Military Technical Academy – who was also a disciple of Mr. Silas, senior brother of Alvin – once secretly told Alvin that, if Alvin wanted to study the second-year program, the Vice Principal would try his best to arrange.
However, Alvin refused. Trying to do something against the law would not be easy, Alvin did not want to cause the Vice Principal more difficulties.
Now hearing such information from Eugene, Alvin felt that his decision at that time was exactly right!
Alvin tilted his head and asked Eugene, "Do you think I can move to study with other first-year students? Anyway, my current program is just self-learning..."
Eugene thought for a moment and said: "You should talk with your Academy first. But I think there is no problem..."
The two of them walked and talked, and after finishing the story, Alvin realized that they were standing at the entrance for guests and teachers.
Alvin suddenly encountered Mr. Silas and a group of Big Guests at the door: "..."
What the hell? Why I was still facing this situation??
Teacher Eugene, did you and Angus plan to trap me???
In some recent months, Alvin's information was quite noticed by people in the Army and Government.
It had been a few decades since the legendary genius of weapons creation Silas E. Dermot accepted the first disciple ➡ the Vice Principal of Military Technical Academy. And now he accepted another disciple. That disciple also passed the public test of the Military Technical Academy, becoming an official first-year student ahead of time!
So, how talented was that disciple?
A few curious people started to find out about that disciple.
Finally, they found such a strange name.
Alvin Farley.
Wait – It's not entirely strange.
Wasn't there a student with the family name Farley on the top of the Military Course National Ranking?
After all, who the hell was the Farley family that could emerge two such geniuses within just one year???
Of course, under the protection of Mr. Silas, those people could not find anything more about Alvin. But Alvin had been in the capital for more than two months studying at academy, some people also knew him by chance.
A person from the Army grabbed this chance, smiling at Eugene: "Oh, why the disciple of Mr. Silas going with you, Eugene?"
Everyone in the Army knew that Mr. Silas had a good relationship with the Big Boss of the Parliament!
Some people thought there was no problem, but some others found uncomfortable about that. Being the Principal of the Military Technical Academy directly under the Army, how could Mr. Silas keep going back and forth with the Big Boss of the Parliament? And now, today, Lieutenant General Eugene also showed his involvement with Mr. Silas?
On the opposite side, Eugene nonchalantly replied: "This kid said that it's boring to sit with the guests, so he wanted to join my class for fun."
Alvin was suddenly betrayed: "..."
The-big-guests-who-were-boring: "..."
The atmosphere became weird. But everyone all understood that it was not because of Alvin, but because of the blunt attitude of Eugene.
Who didn't know that the Lieutenant General Cicero and Lieutenant General Eugene were completely incompatible?
Lieutenant General Cicero had come to his middle age for a few years, but he still behaved as badly as when he was young ➡ there had been always a sharp knife in his words to the ones he did not like. As for Lieutenant General Eugene, besides being famous for the title of "Youngest Lieutenant-General of Pacific", he was also famous for his straightforward attitude, no matter who he was facing with.
The atmosphere was fulled of gunpowder like that until one of the big guests suddenly laughed out: "Ha ha ha! This kid is so straightforward, huh?! But he said the truth! Young people should sit with young people! Why he has to sit with older people like us?"
Perhaps because this big guest's saying was true, or perhaps because he held a "big" position in the Army, the other big guests started to show their agreed attitude.
"Yeah, right! Kids like fun! How can they get fun if sitting with us?"
"Well, my grandchildren even scream out when they watch some games on TV!"
"That's right blah blah blah..."
So the situation ended up like that. After some simple sayings, the bunch of big guests gradually separated, entering the stands area for guests.
Eugene did not enter the stands for guests. He took Alvin to meet a man standing nearby the stands. That man looked a little older than Eugene.
Seeing Eugene from afar, the man slightly nodded his head, then the two of them moved in the same direction.
Due to courtesy, Alvin proactively stood a few meters away from them, leaving them space to talk.
"Kane. How is he today?" Eugene said first.
"Good. As good as he was before you left," Kane replied. He got a really nice voice.
"Um," Eugene nodded, "No news is good news."
Kane smiled a little, "How about you? I heard you got a disciple?"
Eugene nodded again. "Yup. The Class Leader of my class. A good kid."
"Come on, Eugene, don't be so modest. How can the kid you choose be just "good"?... If he knew, he would be very happy for you!"
The atmosphere fell into silent. About five seconds later, Eugene said, "It's almost time. I have to go."
Kane nodded: "Okay. Good luck for your disciple! I'll watch the match carefully so that later I could tell him."
Eugene took one glance at Kane: "No need. We have the camera system, Kane."
Kane: "..." Okay, I shouldn't have hoped that this guy would give me nice words after a long time no see!
